Answer:-I had the angels card and ended up closing my account. The APR rate on retail cards is ridiculous so whatever you save with coupons you end up spending on interest. You only get that book the first year you sign up and the deals in it are okay. Even without the angel card I still get plenty of offers through my email and in my mail from Victoria's Secret. Answer:-Here's my advice: DON'T get colored contact lenses.

I used to want an eye color like hers too, so I spent $400 on one pair of colored contacts. Not only did they feel extremely uncomfortable and make my eyes bloodshot, but they looked really fake.

There are NO colored contacts that look real. Trust me! This is because colored contacts have a huge hole cut into the center, to allow you to see. Not only does your natural eye color show through this hole, but it makes it look like your pupils never change and are constantly huge. Plus, up close, the lenses look terrible - you can see the fake pattern on them as well as your natural eye color!! And sometimes when you blink, the lenses slide down, exposing your natural eye color.

Also, real eyes absorb light, while colored contacts reflect it - so they look really freaky under some types of lighting. And they have a 'bulging' effect. A real iris lies flat on the eyeball, while colored contacts pop out of the eye, another dead giveaway that they are fake.

Trust me, they aren't worth it. Embrace your natural eye color. And remember, it's not Adriana Lima's eye COLOR that makes her eyes so beautiful, it's mostly the SHAPE.

Before you all understand me wrong, no, I don't mean study for it or anything. I mean, how can I be at my full potential?
I've been in a semi-depression phase these last days and I've been sad every day. I don't know if I will do well. Also, I'm really stressed out, like, REALLY! Answer:-Since you're 14, you're bodies going to be changing a lot. And you really shouldn't be dieting/cutting calories. But I doubt your mind will change, so I will suggest:
1. Try not to eat to much sugar, white flour, white rice, etc. Eat things with lots of colour. If the label on the package lists sugar as one of the first ingredients, try not to eat too much of it.
2. Lots of fruits and veggies. Keep up your proteins (chicken is a good, healthy source.)
3. Cardio workouts are great. Running, biking, etc. anything that gets you active and gets your heart rate up!
4. If you want a bit of toning, try sit-ups/crunches.
And don't worry if you gain weight at first, muscle weighs more than fat. Plus, I'll say it again, you're 14, so you're body is still changing drastically on it's own. For now, just try to focus on staying active and eating healthy!

Answer:-I think she looks about 110lb-115lb with around 20% body fat. She has a very athletic physique, so just dropping down to this weight won't necessarily put you as low as 20% body fat unless you do a lot of strength training and eat a high protein diet.

Question:-Where are the stages usually located at the Rockefeller center Christmas tree lighting?
I'm going to the lighting ceremony on November 30, 2010. I've heard that there is not just one central stage for the performances, but there are many stages scattered around Rockefeller center. Where are these stages usually located? Or do the locations of the stages change every year? Would it be obvious where these stages are if I were to just walk around Rockefeller center a few hours before the show is about to begin?

Answer:-These stages are setup will in advance to the tree lighting. The main stage is by the statue of Prometheus on the rink. The other stages are on the plaza and are basically the same as those used by the Today show for performances on the plaza.
You need to get there very early because the place gets packed and you will not be able to move around.

Answer:-Well, when you say "Rockefeller Center" you are referring to an area that is several square blocks in area, over 22 acres (see link, below), plus, many, many people pass through there every day on their way to work, too, plus, there's a huge underground shopping concourse there, too, so that's a LOT of people every day.

We are coming by bus to NY and getting dropped off at Rockefeller Center. One of the places we would like to visit is the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero. I know that taking a taxi would be a huge amont of $. What is the cheapest and most safe way to get to these places?

Answer:-To get to Ground Zero, you take the B, D, F, or M trains (on the downtown side) to West 4th Street and transfer to the A, C or E trains to Chambers Street-World Trade Center.

From Ground Zero, you can simply walk down to South Ferry and take either the free Staten Island Ferry to St. George, which passes by the Statue of Liberty, or take a special ferry to the Statue of Liberty (that you have to pay for)

Notable characteristics
Arsenic is very similar chemically to its predecessor, phosphorus. Like phosphorus, it forms colourless, odourless, crystalline oxides As2O3 and As2O5 which are hygroscopic and readily soluble in water to form acidic solutions. Arsenic (V) acid, like phosphoric acid, is a weak acid. Like phosphorus, arsenic forms an unstable, gaseous hydride: arsine (AsH3). The similarity is so great that arsenic will partly substitute for phosphorus in biochemical reactions and is thus poisonous. However, in subtoxic doses, soluble arsenic compounds act as stimulants, and were once popular in small doses as medicinals by people in the mid 18th century.

When heated in air it oxidizes to arsenic trioxide; the fumes from this reaction have an odor resembling garlic. This odor can be detected on striking arsenide minerals such as arsenopyrite with a hammer. Arsenic (and some arsenic compounds) sublimes upon heating at atmospheric pressure, converting directly to a gaseous form without an intervening liquid state. The liquid state appears at 20 atmospheres and above, which explains why the melting point is higher than the boiling point [3]. Elemental arsenic is found in many solid forms: the yellow form is soft, waxy and unstable, and is made of tetrahedral As4 molecules similar to the molecules of white phosphorus. The gray, black or 'metallic' forms have somewhat layered crystal structures with bonds extending throughout the crystal. They are brittle semiconductors with a metallic luster. The density of the yellow form is 1.97 g/cm³; rhombohedral 'gray arsenic' is much denser with a density of 5.73 g/cm³; the other metalloidal forms are similarly dense.

Applications
Lead hydrogen arsenate was used well into the 20th century as an insecticide on fruit trees. Its use sometimes resulted in brain damage to those working the sprayers. In the last half century, monosodium methyl arsenate (MSMA), a less toxic organic form of arsenic, has replaced lead arsenate's role in agriculture.

Scheele's Green, a copper arsenate, was used in the 19th century as a coloring agent in sweets.

The application of most concern to the general public is probably that of wood treated with chromated copper arsenate, also known as CCA or Tanalith. The vast majority of older pressure-treated wood was treated with CCA. CCA lumber is still in widespread use in many countries, and was heavily used during the latter half of the 20th century as a structural and outdoor building material. It was commonly used in situations where rot or insect infestation was a possibility. Although the use of CCA lumber was banned in many areas after studies showed that arsenic could leach out of the wood into the surrounding soil (from playground equipment, for instance), a risk is also presented by the burning of older CCA timber. The direct or indirect ingestion of wood ash from burnt CCA lumber has caused fatalities in animals and serious poisonings in humans; the lethal human dose is approximately 20 grams of ash. Scrap CCA lumber from construction and demolition sites may be inadvertently used in commercial and domestic fires. Protocols for safe disposal of CCA lumber do not exist evenly throughout the world; there is also concern in some quarters about the widespread landfill disposal of such timber.

During the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, a number of arsenic compounds have been used as medicines, including arsphenamine (by Paul Ehrlich) and arsenic trioxide (by Thomas Fowler). Arsphenamine as well as Neosalvarsan was indicated for syphilis and trypanosomiasis, but has been superseded by modern antibiotics. Arsenic trioxide has been used in a variety of ways over the past 200 years, but most commonly in the treatment of cancer. The US Food and Drug Administration in 2000 approved this compound for the treatment of patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia that is resistant to ATRA.[4] It was also used as Fowler's solution in psoriasis.[5]

Copper acetoarsenite was used as a green pigment known under many different names, including 'Paris Green' and 'Emerald Green'. It caused numerous arsenic poisonings.

Other uses;

Various agricultural insecticides, termination and poisons.
Used in animal feed, particularly in the US as a method of disease prevention and growth stimulation.
Gallium arsenide is an important semiconductor material, used in integrated circuits. Circuits made using the compound are much faster (but also much more expensive) than those made in silicon. Unlike silicon it is direct bandgap, and so can be used in laser diodes and LEDs to directly convert electricity into light.

Occupational Exposures

Exposure to higher-than-average levels of arsenic can occur in some occupations placing workers at risk. Industries that use inorganic arsenic and its compounds include wood preservation, glass production, nonferrous metal alloys, and electronic semiconductor manufacturing. Inorganic arsenic is also found in coke oven emissions associated with the smelter industry. [6]

The word arsenic is borrowed from the Persian word زرنيخ Zarnikh meaning "yellow orpiment". Zarnikh was borrowed by Greek as arsenikon, which means masculine or potent. Arsenic has been known and used in Persia and elsewhere since ancient times. As the symptoms of arsenic poisoning were somewhat ill-defined, it was frequently used for murder until the advent of the Marsh test, a sensitive chemical test for its presence. (Another less sensitive but more general test is the Reinsch test.) Due to its use by the ruling class to murder one another and its potency and discreetness, arsenic has been called the Poison of Kings and the King of Poisons.

During the Bronze Age, arsenic was often included in bronze, which made the alloy harder (so-called "arsenical bronze").

If you are truly doing a research project go to the library and find the journal of forensic science, they might have research on this already. There are tons of journals/books in Forensic Science. Your exposure is greatly reduced by making sure your deck or structure is sealed with a stain or paint frequently. Else if you are highly concerned then you would need to replace the wood.

Answer:-The biggest reason is that he stuck to his guns and refused to apologize when they offered him a way out. He refused to back off and allow the school to give something to the media/accusers/etc.

The $800K was a tiny part EXCEPT in how quickly they made the decision. It represents an insignificant (6.7%) part of his nearly $13M contract.

The stage had been set with many incidents over the past year. The shed incident gave them a focal point and his stubbornness pulled the trigger.

I am aware of the situation concerning Mike Leach and his treatment of injured WR Adam James. However, I am not fully aware of the effects that isolation in an electrical closet or dark room has on a concussed individual. So what makes this treatment so bad that he deserves to get fired? Answer:-Sensory Deprivation can be helpful for a concussion. This would be done maybe at home in a dark room in a comfortable chair or in an SD chamber. The stories Leach is putting out now are called "Lawyering Up".

Their purpose is to divert attention from the fact that he was planning on punishing a kid he (Justified or not) didn't like. Perhaps the kid was a goof-off. But, Leach is now trying to protect himself from a lawsuit that his actions have qualified him for quite well.

Coupled with SEVERAL earlier actions that he got away with, this latest action that (while not likely to be dangerous to the kids health) could easily be grounds for criminal prosecution from the articles I have read.

Answer:-Yes he was the OL coach and OC at Iowa Weslyan and was QB coach at Valdosta St while serving as OC, and I think he was QB coach at KY as well. Most all coordinators will also coach a position.

He got a masters from US Sports Academy after leaving BYU then went on to Pepperdine Law School, his first coaching job was at Cal Poly in San Louis Obispo in 1987, then one year at College of the Desert as an assistant, then went to Euro League, then got his first OC job at Iowa Weslyn.

On December 16, James suffered a concussion in practice. He was examined the next day, and told not to practice that afternoon due to the concussion and an abnormally high heart rate. According to a James family source, Leach ordered him to stand in a dark shed near the Raiders' practice facility. Leach also threatened to kick James off the team if he left the shed.[ According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Leach thought that James was faking the injury. School officials gave Leach an ultimatum--apologize to James in writing by December 28 or Leach would be suspended. Leach refused to do so; his attorney, Ted Liggett, said his client didn't dispute the facts, but didn't think he'd done anything wrong.

Answer:-I'm very excited. Daniel Day Lewis is such a talented, versatile actor. An Abraham Lincoln bio pic sounds great, and Spielberg directing? I don't see how it can go wrong. The production design will probably be great as well.

I know nothing about the movie Silence other than it's going to be directed by Scorsese. So obviously my expectations are high.

Well right now (15-sophmore year) I'm wondering what I want to be and I had my eyes on being a Chiropracter. Then I saw something called osteopathy and reasearched into that.

I realize that they are really similar to Chiropractics and basically they just work on more body parts....

My question is what exactly is the difference...like what do they do that chiropractics don't.

Answer:-Osteopathy...was originally a drug free way to heal...Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy..several years ago the US Osteopathic community became almost absorbed into medicine. Now few DOs in the US use OMT. The profession has the same specialties as MDs....surgeon, family practice, etc. DOs write prescriptions, do surgery. etc., same as MD.

Chiropractors do not write prescriptions. In some states do only minor in office surgery (skin lesions). They treat the neuromusculoskeletal system with Chiropractic Manipulative Treatment....primarily the spine...but can work well with any joint. Some use physical therapy modalities in addition to the manipulation. Most have relationship with MD/DO community and refer to appropriate speciality when needed.

Training time about the same.
DOs are "mainstreamed" as a part of medicine
DCs are not because they do not prescribe drugs. The ones I know do not want to Rx medications. That is why they chose to be DC.

Answer:-You need to realize that when asking this question on an "alternative medicine" board, you will get very biased responses. In truth, you probably won't notice the difference between a DO and an MD. A DO is still able to prescribe medicine and most of them use conventional medicine in 90% of their practice. And the person who claimed that DO's don't "throw pills at patients" like MD's do, is just plain ignorant on many levels. Some DO's prescribe drugs like its going out of style, and most MD's and DO's are actually very similar in their prescribing habits. DO's are more likely to occasionally include things like spinal manipulation (aka, chiropractic), but they don't believe that it will cure the disease by itself. They do it to complement the primary treatment. And yes, DO's often take the exact same classes as MD's, but there are some differences in their training and coursework. DO programs are not as competitive to get in as MD programs, so that might play a slight role on the intelligence of the overall population of DO's versus MD's, but I wouldn't extrapolate that down to make an individual judgement of your practitioner. There is a wider range in the quality of care with DO's than MD's, but some DO's are truly fantastic and some DO's are pretty poor. If you are really worried about it, just ask the DO what he specifically might do differently than an MD. Most likely, your treatment will be the same.

They view your body as a whole, and think of you as a self healing organism. They adjust the spine to free up the nervous systems of subluxations (fixation in your spine that may or may not be causing you the pains, but when present they interfere with your nervous system making you less healthy). With a freely moving spine, your nervous system will function optimally and heal itself. Neck pain, head aches, and pain are just symptoms, chiropractors treat the cause which is subluxation derived from fixations in the spine from trauma, stress, poor posture, and exposure to toxins.

To clear up the misconception of education, Chiropractors spend 3-4 years in Chiropractic college, and have a very similar curriculum as Medical Doctors. Just replace the surgery and pharmaceutical classes with adjusting technique and nutrition classes. In British Medical Journal May 2003, "Who pays for the pizza?", it is said that 60% of the medical research and 2/3rds of the medical institutions have economic ties to the pharmaceutical companies" So although it may be longer, future doctors are being taught what Big Pharma wants, not what is always best for you.

Only 10-15 % of osteopaths practice manipulations, which means close to 80% will just write you a prescription for pain meds. If you want to treat the symptoms and do not care about correcting the cause of your pain, then this may be a good solution for you.

We are not genetically programmed to be sick, we are built to be well and thrive. There are no drugs that will make you healthier. Chiropractors study wellness, MD's and DO's study pathologies. If you wanted to get rich, would you study a rich person or a poor person? If you wanted to be happy, would you study a depressed person or a motivated upbeat person?

If you go there for a cold, they will take the rest of your life into consideration before treating, and they care about ALL of you, whereas an M.D. will just take care of your "specific" complaint at the moment. Both are VERY good, but in my opinion an osteopath is better. I see one. Can you tell?

Question:-How do i remove hazing from newly installed polished granite floor?
I had a polished granite floor installed 3 days ago. They did not do a very good job of removing the hazing after it was grouted. There are even tiles with spots of grout on them. I was told to add baking soda to the cleaner i use to remove it. Is baking soda safe for polished granite? What will remove the haze, but still not ruin the polished finish?

Answer:-hazing is left over residue from grouting the tiles. If you do choose to tackle this yourself, I would get the floor wet by spraying it with a spray bottle and let it sit for an hour. If it is still wet I would then use a clean dry cloth to remove the residue. You could try a small out of the way area first so you will not have any scratches in the middle of your floor. After the water has been removed from the floor, you should use cheese cloth to buff off any remaining hazing. I have used this process in the past with great results. The biggest challenge with your floor is that it is a polished granite and trying to remove the haze incorrectly could dull the polish on the granite. I would not use baking soda.

I am producing an anti-hazing film and I have to come up with several hazing or initiation rituals meant to humiliate the pledge. I guess my question is: what would other guys on this forum find most humiliating?

Answer:-(a) pushing a penny across the floor or sidewalk with one's nose.

(b) standing (or kneeling) still while having ketchup, mustard, etc. dumped over you. Or being pelted with raw eggs. Or, a single egg under a ball cap that is broken gently, so that the liquid oozes out over time, drips down onto one's face and clothes, and dries.

(c) Physical exercise (push-ups, bows & toes, etc.)

(d) have one's hair cut into a non-fashionable style (think 50's flat-top)...especially if you get an entire pledge "class" to do the same

(e) wearing suit, dress shirt and tie on the top half of your body, and gym shorts and athletic shoes.

(f) go into a local store and purchase for themselves queen-size panty hose. Wear it under regular clothes the next (several) day(s).

Perhaps many of these you could no longer do on most politically correct campuses, but note that these kinds of things do not carry the risk of physical injury as some of the more "newsworthy" hazings that pop up. Also, perhaps easier to stage and film for a documentary then imposing on a real pledge class these days (except for finding multiple guys who would be willing to cut their hair for you).

My friend and I got a 2 bedroom loft only one of the ceilings doesn't go up all the way to the top, meaning that theres this uncomfortable lack of privacy for the room. How can I build something that will touch the ceiling and seal off the room? Is there an inflatable wall or cubicle I can buy? We're also renting so drilling/breaking into any part of the building is out of the question.

Answer:-I built a temporary wall using pvc pipe and fabric, it was supper easy and really cheap (a ten foot piece of pvc pipe is $1)

I would try using a heavy felt type fabric for blocking noise. If you go to your local joann fabric, they will have it in lots of colors and I think it is pretty cheap.

Answer:-Sounds more like a coincidence. We sometimes hear about someone who had a premonition and didn't get on a flight that later crashed, but we never hear about the people who had premonitions and didn't get on flights that landed safely.

Walmart would have to have some way getting your email address from your debit card number. It's not likely your bank would give it out even if they have it, and it's even less likely Walmart could hack it any other way.

Answer:-Due to their purchasing power. They buy in extreme volume and get bulk discount pricing. Also, they tell vendors what they will pay them not vice versa. If a vendor doesn't like the price Walmart will find a vendor that will give them their price. Most vendors don't want to lose Walmart's business so they agree to Walmart's purchase price. Walmart is then able to offer the goods for the low prices that they do.

I was able to tour one of their warehouses and they are quite expansive. Walmart has mastered the art of knowing what they need, how much they need, and when they need it. They order merchandise months in advance. They also have their stores linked into their inventory system and are able to replenish their stores almost instantly. For example, if you bought a TV. The system registers that a tv was bought at sore x and sends out a notice to ship TV to store X to replenish the inventory stock at store x. This usually happens in the same day. This efficiency also helps to save in ordering and labor costs which also contributes to Walmart being able to offer low prices.

Answer:-To be honest, neither payless or walmart are good stores to be buying dance clothes or shoes. You should either buy your shoes at the studio or go to a dance specialty store. Same with your leotard. The clothes at walmart are not good quality and your leotard will be falling appart after a few weeks. The material used in many of their leotard also doesn't let your skin breathe properly. Also, the dance shoes at payless are really cheaply made and are not suitable for anyone over the age of six.

If you go into a shop like Zumiez or Vans, they'll be able to tell you what the best board they have is and fit you with the right parts for a decent price. Answer:-A Coach bag, or a Juicy Couture or a Kate Spade handbag are EXACTLY the same if you buy them from a boutique or a department store. Personally I like to buy them from the place where I can get them for the least amount of money.
Because of this, I buy nearly all my handbags from eBay. I have very expensive tastes, but a not so expensive budget so I can get very high end bags on eBay for less money. I received a food processor/blender for my birthday 5 months ago and I noticed that when I use it, which is seldom, it has a very sharp loud noise. I used it at most 5 times and it was only the processor part where the bowl was easily cleaned. The item looks Brand New. I have the original receipt.

Answer:-When I applied at Target a month ago, they gave me an interview right after I applied and it caught me completely off guard, I was in flip flops, shorts, a t-shirt, and I had just woke up. They hired me on the spot.

However, your situation is different, you know you have an interview coming up, so look nice. Don't wear jeans. Go in nice khakis and a button-down, or something with a collar, you don't have to show up in a full suit.

They'll ask all kinds of questions, ranging from questions about your background to other things such as "if we called one of your references, what would they say about you?" or "give an example of where you had to work together in a group and you disagreed with a teammate" and just stuff like that. Try to be thoughtful, and straight up. And be friendly.

As long as you don't act too much like an idiot, make yourself presentable, and act pleasantly, you will have a good chance of getting hired. Good luck!

Ad Set Associate: Normally works evenings/overnight. Entails changing hundreds to a couple thousand sale signs and toppers for a sale. Sales change a couple times a week.

Department Associate: Responsible for keeping department stocked, clean, folded, and getting returns from Customer Service. Also responds to additional cashier calls when appropriate.

Department Supervisor Associate: All of above + responsible for doing set up within department and making price changes and other things I cannot remember.

POS: cashier, responsible for checking out customers accurately and timely. Deals with various tenders. sometimes also titled as credit greeter or line monitor, but only around holiday season.

POS Supervisor: in charge of making sure all registers run smoothly and all have change. Calls for additional cashiers when lines get too long. Sometimes is backup for Customer Service.

Customer Service Associate: Responsible for returns and answering main phone lines. Also deals with media from POS.

Overnight Associate: Gets locked in from closing till early morning. Involves moving merchandise from stockroom/dock to floor, unpacking, and stocking fixtures/tables with stock.

Truck Unload: Works early mornings, unload trucks from distribution centers.

Replenishment: works early mornings, flows stock to floor when needed.

Answer:-Keep calling.. I am not sure how long a background check takes to process, but appearing interested for the job is important when applying. Call about two times a week, perhaps Monday and Friday. Also ask the manager how long this process usually takes ("I'm really eager to start, how long might this take on average?"). Then, depending on his/her answer, wait another week or two, and if things haven't changed, being looking for another job. If you hear back from a different job and know you can start there before Kohl's can finish a background check, go for the other job.

So what I was thinking of doing is asking my general manager if they could stop putting me on the weekly schedule and only schedule me for the Sunday meetings in which I will be more than happy to run arons (basically being there *****) for example: bringing doughnuts, and training people to help get MasterCard's and PRPs etc. in exchange I would want to be in charge of the volunteer community events group at Best Buy. And keeping the discount if they wish, but not a big priority. PS. Also community events would help make my political resume look better. That's why I'm eager to stay. Answer:-Unfortunately when you live with your mom and you are under age, she owns everything that is yours, even if it was given to you as a gift, and even if you move out. You don't have a lawsuit.

Best Buy may have it on file, but the only way they would have to produce it to your grandparents is if they get a court order from a judge asking for it. A judge isn't going to request this. It is your responsibility as well as your grandparent's to have record of purchases.

Answer:-First you should go to a store like Best Buy, Circuit City, or even Costco to see what TV you like best for the prices they're offering. Watch the TVs (they should all have the same programming on) and see which picture you like best. Ask the sales people questions about the different specs you see listed (resolution, progressive or interlaced scanning, 60 or 120-Hz video refresh rate, contrast ratio, etc.) and ask why some models are more expensive than others. That way you'll know why the TVs are priced the way they are and which features are important to you (would you want to spend an extra $300 on a TV because it has a feature that you wouldn't use or don't notice in the picture?). Write down the model numbers of the ones you like.

Then check prices on the internet. I recommend buying on-line, because not only can you sometimes get a better price, but you might avoid sales tax and shipping.

You can use whatever shopping bot you want to search on the item and see which on-line stores offer the item at what price. Answer:-I'm from Detroit, but I'm not a fanatic Lions fan. I would start Stafford, he is looking great this preseason and he really killed it when he did play last season. I expect Stafford to put up over 350 yard and 2-3 TD's against TB. I don't think Brees will do that against GB. The Saints have a reworked line and they are more dedicated to the run this season. Also, Colston is still recovering from knee injury and Lance Moore (#3 WR) is suffering from a groin injury. GB is not going to let Brees throw to the TE all day like he did during the preseason. I'd go Stafford all the way!

Answer:-They might take a receiver if there is a great value available but they are clearly not having any trouble throwing the ball. If they do take one to serve as a deep threat it'll be a guy taken lower in the draft who plays humble like the rest of their guys, not a big shot early in the draft who might not block or work as hard.

They always do such a good job of stashing picks that I think they can really just afford to take the best value available at each of their slots without really having to pick for need, they are the best team in the NFL so far this season after all so it's not like they really have gaping holes to fill.

Answer:-Lots of people still think of Lombardi when they think of the Packers. Lombardi's Packer legacy leaves Farve's in the dust. Of course, one would need a good history book to know that, ESPN doesn't talk about Lombardi.

Farve is over-rated, but only because he's been called the greatest QB of all time, which he isn't. He is a great, great QB however, and he will be a first ballot HOF'er. The football HOF has screwed a lot of players in terms of the amount of time it took some of them to get in, but I think that Farve will be voted in as soon as he becomes eligible for the honor.

In terms of where I'd rank him among the all time greats, I would put Montana, Unitas, Bradshaw, Staubach, Marino, Brady and Elway ahead of him, at least...there might be a couple that I fogot about, but not too many that I missed.

Farve deserves a lot of credit for his streak as well. Most 'streak' records really don't mean anything, and maybe this one doesn't either, but I still have to respect the fact that he went out there for 250+ games in a row (including playoff games) ...even if he does only play once a week LOL

Seriously, the streak is impressive.

In terms of QBs who won only one championship as a starter, Farve is probably as good or better than any of them. He's certainly better than the one-year QB wonders (i.e. one-time Super Bowl winners) of the last 20 years or so... Thinking about other QB's who won one championship as a starter (during the Super Bowl era), the best of them include Joe Namath, Ken Stabler, Joe Theissman and Len Dawson. I'm inclined to think that Farve is better than any of them.

He's been a great adn durable player for a long time, and has been one who it totally indespensible to his team.

I think you are over-thinking Favre's impact on the Vikings team.

Answer:-I have one of those expensive, but useful, steamer/microwave dishes from Tupperware. It is the one that stacks so you can cook a complete meal in on microwave session.

Anyway, if you get a chicken and season it to your liking and place it on the steamer rack and add the dripping bowl under and the lid on top you can cook a whole chicken (15 minutes a pound) and it turns out juicy and just as tasty as the one you pay much more for already cooked.

It is a good investment. I use it often.

Answer:-Don't listen to the other guys. Nothing wrong with having a carry handle w/ sights to go on your flat top. It is always a smart idea to have something solid to use should a time come when optics are not available. It will be a lot more durable than a much smaller flip-up. As for re-zeroing, a decent set-up will not require it. You will be surprised how many of the guys out there with $900 optics on their $1200 rifles don't even know how to zero a set of iron sites much less use them effectively.

The UTG will do just fine.

Looking to purchase a new .223 AR-15. I'm seeing that a number of manufacturers make this rifle. Are there any major differences to consider besides brand loyalty? I'm currently considering a Bushmaster.

Answer:-The differences are in how closely they follow the Technical Data Package for building the rifle. Frank Joe is right that the difference is in the quality, but the manufacturers he listed all makers of low-end, low quality rifles. What is surprising is how little price difference there is between those makers and the prices from a top tier manufacturer. Question:-What company produces AR-15 variants that are under a thousand dollars?
I am thinking about buying some type of AR-15 for my first rifle and I have looked everywhere for a decent model. I know that Bushmaster and Armalite make good ones, but I have not found anything for less than $1000. I was hoping that there is a model of AR-15 out there that costs closer to 600 or 700 dollars. And by the way, I live in New Jersey if that complicates anybody's answer.

Answer:-I would go with a DPMS Panther. They make a bunch of different models and calibers but the most basic one in 223 I believe is around 800 bucks. I've seen that at Cabelas stores and they seem much cheaper than Bushmasters, Colt,s and Armalites. Sometimes they go on sale too. That's what I would go for if I had the money right now.
Question:-How do I transfer my AR-15 to a friend who lives in California?
I have a AR-15 I want to transfer to my friend who lives in CA. I live in NV so do we need to file paperwork through a FFL? He is going to drive down here to pick it up. The AR is completely Cali legal.

Answer:-No. Just give it to him. No firearms law applies to the transfer.

I recently came upon a video of the Systema Training weapon system, which uses airsoft technology to simulate real weaponry. Unlike most airsoft guns, however, these weapons are modified to be as realistic as possible by doing things other airsoft guns cannot, such as lock the trigger upon running out of ammunition. Which brings me to my point. When loading in a fresh magazine, is there a button or catch on the side of the AR-15 series rifles that one can press to chamber in a round without pulling back the cocking handle? I ask this because this is a requirement on the Systema PTW.

Answer:-Yes, the gas-operated firearm locks its bolt back on an empty magazine, upon firing the last shot. There is a button (a mechanical lever) on the left hand side of the gun that releases the bolt under spring pressure, shoving a bullet from another mag into the chamber.

Hi, I recently started building my frist ar-15.

I am not sure what tools and parts i need to finish the job.

I have a stripper lower and a stripped upper reciever at the moment, i know they sell parts kits for both. What exactly do I need for parts (minimum). And what exactly do I need for tools?

Answer:-For the lower: lower parts kit and stock kit.

For the upper: forward assist assembly, ejection port cover assembly, barrel, delta ring assembly (if you are using a free float rail with its own nut you will not need the delta ring assembly), front sight base or gas block, gas tube, handguards, taper pins for the front sight base, gas tube roll pin. And of course bolt carrier group and charging handle.

Tools required: vice, AR-15 vice block, armorer's wrench, torque wrench, assorted punches, a level, headspace gauge and maybe an ejector removal tool. There are other specialized tools, but they are not necessary.

Answer:-Mr. .357 did give a good list of mfg'rs of quality parts and rigs, But I have to recommend you look at Sterling Arsenals AR builds. They really work with you to build the right rifle for an affordable price. Plus you can't beat their lowers and smithing abilities.

Question:-What are the benefits for each in choosing a stripped or full upper receiver for an AR-15?
I recently purchased an AR-15. I am in the military and know my way around guns but am in no way an expert. The AR I have has an integrated carrying handle and I would much rather prefer a picatinny system for mounting optics. What are the pros and cons to using a stripped upper receiver versus a complete full length upper receiver? Just looking to hear some opinions.

Answer:-I agree with risonav. At times, buying a stripped upper will save you money. Although, you will need to spend money in buying the necessary tools to put the whole upper together. Vice block, armorer's wrench, vice, torque wrench, etc. Plus the tools to check the head-space once the barrel is on. Although, once purchased, these tools will continue to be used as you make assemble many more uppers, so they can be considered a one time expense ;) The cons are the time expense, tool expense, and having to check head-space on the upper. Assembled uppers already have all of this done, but for about $100 extra, more or less. Note, that money figure is excluding the tool expense, because you might have some of those already. Also, checking head-space is not difficult, just takes a little time. By the way, thank you for your service!!
Amended: Assembling an M4 carbine upper from parts from Bravo Company Manufacturing will only save you a few bucks (maybe around $30). Their complete uppers are top notch (equivalent to Colt and such) and start at around $430 minus handguards and CH, BCG. You'll save more money if you're building a more "exotic" upper with a lo-pro gas block and free float rail, since you subtract the initial cost of the delta ring assembly and A2 front sight base.

I'll get about 100 christmas photo cards from friends and family over the next month. What is a creative and attractive way to display them in my home? Most of the cards are flat, like a large post card. My house is very small.

Answer:-Well, I always put our cards up on our fireplace mantle with some decorations...I do that for every holiday. We don't get 100 cards though, that many cards up there would look tacky.

If you don't have a fireplace, maybe find another type of ledge to put them on? You dont really need to display all of them, do you?
Question:-Would it be strange to send out Christmas photo cards with only a single adult on it?
I love photo cards at Christmas and would like to personally send them out. Unfortunately I don't have a husband or family so I'm wondering if it would be strange to put a picture of just myself on a card. Thoughts?

Answer:-yesterday i received one of those types of Christmas cards from a good friend of mine. I haven't really spoke to them in quite a while since they moved out of state. It was sad that there was nothing attached to the card, not even a quick hi hand written on it. So here's what I think you should do: if you are sending your Christmas card to someone you see all the time then no, leave it just as it is and put it in the envelope and send it off. If it's to someone that you don't see very much, don't talk to very much or stuff like that go ahead and type up a quick letter saying what you were up to that last year. Answer:-I did this last year. I got christmas cards made up with my son's picture on it. We decorate our tree right after thanksgiving (black friday) so this gave us plenty of time to add in a dvd of my son decorating the tree. My husband made a video online using a chipmunk christmas song...and had my son put ornaments on the tree while we video taped him and pose for pictures that also went into the dvd. We sent them to our close relatives and friends that could not join us for christmas.

Should I write something on the card to make it more personal? Where should I write it - on the front or back? What should I write given that the card already says season's greetings, happy holidays, and our names?

Answer:-I was wondering the same thing. In the past I haven't, but it is nice when you receive cards from others with a personal message, so this year I probably will. I think on the back- there is more space to write. Make it personal to the recipient, not general. I know it will take me a lot of time though!
