canon eos rebel t3

  • Question:-Is the Canon EOS Rebel T3 good for taking graduation pictures?
Is the Canon EOS Rebel T3 good for taking graduation pictures?

    Indoors and outdoors.

    Answer:-
  • Question:-How do I film myself with a Canon EOS Rebel T3?
I'm a video blogger moving from a regular old Flip to the Canon EOS Rebel T3. However, I have no idea how to focus myself because I don't have anyone controlling the camera for me. How do I keep myself in focus and in the viewfinder while recording?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Is the Canon EOS Rebel T3 a good starter SLR camera?
I'm going shopping tomorrow morning on Black Friday and there is a deal for the Canon EOS Rebel T3 SRL camera. Is that a good beginner SRL camera?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-What's Better The Canon EOS T1I, Canon EOS rebel T3, Or the Canon Rebel XS?
So I'm think of buying a camera. I want it to be an SLR, so it has the interchangeable lens. I really want a Canon Rebel. But which one, they all take nice pictures and i wanna stay under the price range of 700$. So any suggestions?

    Answer:-tech wise, the T1i

of course, if you are just going to do stills and no video, the Xs is equally as capable, and you can use that extra $200 on accessories and possibly another lens
  • Question:-How to edit pictures on a Canon Eos Rebel t3?
My dad has recently bought me a Canon EOS Rebel T3, and I was wondering how and if you can edit pictures on it. I have a friend who has a similar camera, and she can trim & make her pictures colors ON her camera. I was wondering if you can do the same on this camera. Here's my camera :http://www.flickr.com/photos/43701311@N05/5642983445/

Answer:-I'm thinking you actually mean the t3i - correct?

Being a dslr this camera is not loaded with gimmicks. It's designed for serious photography and will not edit photos in the camera. I agree you need a good software editor for this kind of work.
  • Question:-How to open the battery door on the EOS canon rebel t3?
i just got the canon rebel t3 and as i was atempting to put the battery in i couldnt for the life of me open the door thing that holds the battery in place. what do i do?
i've read the owners manual. but it really doesnt give much info on how to open it. theres like a few arrows but none of them make any sense at all.

Answer:-If the battery is giving you that much trouble, then being able to understand how to use the aperture/shutter speed/ISO properly will really give you issues.

I'm sorry to say this, BUT....if you are still having problems inserting the battery after reading page 28 of the manual, then the best thing for you to do is put everything back in the boxes and return it to the store for a refund and then purchase a simple point and shoot camera (such as a Kodak Easyshare).
  • Question:-Is the Canon EOS Rebel T3 camera a good choice for me?
    I'm a beginner at photography.
I manly take pictures of out side life and plan to move on to people to.
I'm looking for a cheaper type camera.
I have no experience with high tec cameras (professional cameras) though.
I want a camera with great quality pictures.

Answer:-The Rebel T3 is an entry-level DSLR. It is nowhere near close to a professional camera, but it's definitely suitable for a beginner to learn on. It's one of the least expensive entry-level DSLR's. The only one I know of offhand that is even cheaper is the Nikon D3000. They're both fine cameras; which one is better would be a matter of personal preference, since you would want to choose the one you feel the most comfortable with.

The quality of pictures you take will depend on your skills with the camera, not the camera itself. The T3 is quite capable of producing great shots in the right hands.
  • Question:-Canon EOS Rebel T3, Canon Rebel XS, or NIkon D3000?
I'm looking at the Canon EOS Rebel T3, Canon Rebel XS, and NIkon D3000.
They're all about the same price, and as far as I can tell, they have similar specs, but I don't know enough to read that closely.
I want it for a camera that will allow me to begin photography as a hobby, with full control etc.

    Witch camera is better?
(perhaps you could factor in deals and bundles the may be available in time for Christmas, with links)
    edit: (after 2nd answer)
thanks for the advice, but I've done tons of research about these cameras on amazon, and they all seem great. I want to find someone who's used one or more of these cameras to tell me how they are.
    And concerning bundles-
I don't have anything else to accompany the new camera (tripod, memory card, lenses, etc.)
so whatever I buy would Ideally have that in the purchase as well. If I buy everything seperately, I'm likely to spend more money, and I'm stretching the wallet here as it is.

    Answer:-
  • Question:-What are main differences between the Canon EOS Rebel T3 and the T3i?
I'm considering buying a Camera for Christmas this year.. But what are the main differences between the to? Do you own one of these cameras? Any information would be appreciated.

Answer:-My first instincts would had been visiting Canon Website to look up the Specs on both cameras

    Specs for T3I
    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t3i_18_55mm_is_ii_kit#Specifications

    Specs for T3
    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t3_18_55mm_is_ii_kit#Specifications
  • Question:-What is the best external flash for a Canon EOS Rebel t3?
I'm looking for an external flash to buy but all of them seem so expensive. Is there a cheap one that's also good to use? Or just in general a good one (even if expensive)?

Answer:-Best is probably the Canon brand.
Pretty good and fairly inexpensive is the Canon compatible model of Promaster 7400EDF.

kindle fire review

  • Question:-Will I be able to upload my current media collection to the new Kindle Fire.?
Will I be able to upload my current media collection to the new Kindle Fire. Or will I have to re-purchase everything from Amazon. I know with the Ipad I can use my current media in addition to being able to purchase. All of the Kindle Fire reviews I have read don't mention anything about using your own media.

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Are there any Kindle Fire reviews?
I'm looking at getting this one
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051VVOB2/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=the00b0-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B0051VVOB2

What do you think of yours?

Answer:-Hey, ryan, I can only give you a list of known facts about Kindle Fire as of this time- see below. Also, according to recently appeared leaks on the Internet, Nook Color 2 will be released by Barnes & Noble on November 7, and this device sure leaves Kindle Fire in the dust.
    Leaked specs include:
    - dial-core 1.2 Ghz processor vs. 1.0 Ghz of Kindle Fire
    - 1.0 GB of RAM vs. 512 MB of Kindle Fire
    - 16 GB capacity for apps, videos, photos, ebooks vs. 8 GB of Kindle Fire
    - microSD slot to expand capacity even further by another 32 GB vs. no expandable capacity of Kindle Fire
    - 1024 x 800 IPS HD display vs. 1024 x 600 of Kindle Fire
    - 14.1 oz weight vs. 14.6 oz of Kindle Fire
    - Netflix and Hulu Plus for millions of movies streaming built-in vs. 13,000 movies in Amazon store that allows no Netflix and Hulu

    1. Kindle Fire doesn't have microSD slot that, for example, Nook Color has thus it is stuck with 6 GB usable internal storage unlike Nook Color that can get up to 32 GB card in. Kindles are made to be almost like a "dumb terminal" of the past to make sure you're tied up to Amazon's storage on the web (for which you need Wi-Fi connection to get to) and you can only store content you get from Amazon there, not other files. Quoting Amazon on Kindle Fire: "Free cloud storage for all Amazon content". Get it, Amazon content?
    2. The stats of how long the battery can last (Kindle Fire theory is 7.5 hours) are taken with Wi-Fi off. It will last only about 3 hours if you use it to access content from their Cloud storage over Wi-Fi.
    3. Amazon can spy on your web activity through their new cloud-integrated web browser of Kindle Fire.
    4. Lack of microSD slot means that if you decide to root your Kindle Fire, you’ll have to root the actual device thus there will be no coming back. On Nook Color, you can make it boot from a “rooted” microSD card and if you want to get back to the original Nook you can just take out the card and reboot.
    5. Kindle doesn't support eBooks in ePub format that is the most used format in the world.
    6. Kindle app store contains only Amazon approved apps and it does not include (and will not include) Netflix app that iPad has and Nook Color is getting thus again you're stuck with Amazon content only.
    7. Amazon confirmed that you cannot download/stream anything to Kindle Fire when traveling outside US.
    8. Amazon says it will review every app in its Appstore for Fire compatibility, as part of an automated process. Rejected apps will include those that rely on a gyroscope, camera, WAN module, Bluetooth, microphone, GPS, or micro SD. Apps are also forbidden from using Google's Mobile Services (and in-app billing), which, if included, will have to be "gracefully" removed. In terms of actual content, Amazon has outlawed all apps that change the tablet's UI in any way (including theme- or wallpaper-based tools), as well as any that demand root access.
    9. I'd recommend waiting for Nook Color 2 that is rumored to be released by Barnes & Noble shortly.
  • Question:-How good is the Kindle Fire?
(Please answer only AFTER November 15, and ONLY if you actually handled the Kindle Fire)
I'm considering purchasing one, but only after I hear reviews from people who actually have purchased and used some.

Answer:-Hi, M, there's only 3 days left to answer your question thus there's no way anyone can answer it after November 15. Here's what we already know about Kindle Fire:
4. VERY IMPORTANT – lack of microSD slot means that if you decide to root your Kindle Fire, you’ll have to root the actual device thus there will be no coming back. On Nook Color, you can make it boot from a “rooted” microSD card and if you want to get back to the original Nook you can just take out the card and reboot.
    5. Kindle Fire doesn't have a camera.
    6. Kindle Fire has about 70% less usable screen area than iPad 2.
    7. Kindle doesn't support eBooks in ePub format that is the most used format in the world.
    8. Kindle app store contains only Amazon approved apps and it does not include (and will not include) Netflix app that iPad has and Nook Color is getting thus again you're stuck with Amazon content only.

    11. I'd recommend waiting for Nook Color 2 that is rumored to be released by Barnes & Noble shortly.
  • Question:-I wonder how long the battery life is on the Kindle Fire?
Seems to me that it will eat a lot of battery with it's graphics. Now I'm leaning more toward the touch. Can't wait for the consumer reviews to come in

Answer:-Hi, Lgit, the stats of how long the battery can last (Kindle Fire theory is 7.5 hours) are taken with Wi-Fi off. It will last only about 3 hours if you use it to access content from their Cloud storage over Wi-Fi. You'll have to use Amazon's Cloud storage as Kindle Fire doesn't have microSD (or any other) card slot thus you're stuck with 6 GB usable internal storage (not much to store) unlike Nook Color that can get up to 32 GB card in. You can only store content you get from Amazon in free Cloud, not other files. Quoting Amazon on Kindle Fire: "Free cloud storage for all Amazon content".
  • Question:-Should I buy the Kindle Fire?
Initially I was turned off about the lack of 3G because my current Kindle has it but I figured I could use my mobile hotspot on my phone to download books. I'll primarily be using it as an e-reader and perhaps some email. I think the mobile hotspot is a backdoor way of getting 3G connection. I've decided to wait for the consumer reviews to come in before making a decision.

Answer:-Hey, Lgit, Kindle Touch would be the one for mainly eBook reading (black & white) while Kindle Fire is for color video and apps. However, neither is the best on the market. Current e-Ink Nook Simpletouch from Barnes & Noble is still better designed than even the new Kindle Touch with battery lasting two months with ONE hour reading a day with Wi-Fi off thus it's still twice as long as new Kindle's two months with HALF and hour a day with Wi-Fi off. It looks like Kindle didn't get any battery improvement in the new model. More, Kindle Touch still flashes black on each page turn while Nook Touch reduces the flashing by 80%. Nook (unlike Kindle) supports eBooks in ePub format that is the universal format most used in the world. If you walk in with the Nook to Barnes & Noble store, you’re allowed to read ANY available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi.
About Kindle Fire - it doesn't have microSD slot that Nook Color has thus it is stuck with 6 GB usable internal storage unlike Nook Color that can get up to 32 GB card in. Kindles are made to be almost like a "dumb terminal" of the past to make sure you're tied up to Amazon's storage on the web (for which you need Wi-Fi connection to get to.) and you can only store content you get from Amazon there, not other files, and they can spy on your web activities through the new cloud-integrated web browser. Kindle Fire’s battery will probably only last 3-4 hours while accessing Cloud storage content via Wi-Fi as the advertised 7.5 hours of battery was tested with Wi-Fi off. Also, VERY IMPORTANT – lack of microSD slot means that if you decide to root your Kindle Fire, you’ll have to root the actual device thus there will be no coming back. On Nook, you can make it boot from a “rooted” microSD card and if you want to get back to the original Nook you can just take out the card and reboot. Nook Color still has the best on the market anti-glare coated screen that is better for reading/viewing outside.
If you can wait, B&N is rumored to be coming out with Nook Color 2 shortly that will sure to have Netflix app among others (you won’t find it on Kindle).
  • Question:-Should I get the kindle fire?
I really don't know how good it is. I have read reviews but if someone could tell me how it is that would be nice.

Answer:-Hello, Noah, Kindle Fire is one underpowered device to be called a media tablet. Just released next generation Nook Tablet from Barnes & Noble clearly is the superior device. It is $224 if sign up for Barnes & Noble membership or $250 without signup. Not just 11.5 hours battery life but 9 hours of video playback time - that's vs. 8 hours for reading and 7.5 hours of video playback on Kindle Fire (even that 7.5 hours will not hold true in tests, video playback drains battery much more than reading.) 1.0 GB RAM Vs. 512 MB RAM of Kindle Fire, 16 GB content capacity plus 32 GB via microSD card vs. 8 GB capacity of Kindle Fire with no expansion slot. Fully laminated HD screen for reduced glare vs. no lamination of Kindle Fire. Bulit-in and optimized Netflix and Hulu plus with millions of movies/shows vs. 100K movies/shows of Amazon store. Nook Tablet has built-in mic for Skype voice conferencing and dictations to speech recognition software and it weights only 14.1 oz. Nook already has Cloud as all eBooks in your online library are stored there as well as downloaded to your device.
Also, If you walk in with the Nook to Barnes & Noble store, you’re allowed to read ANY available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi and you get free technical support in case of issues in any of the store.
You can buy Nook’s at Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Millon, Walmart, BestBuy, Staples, OfficeMax, Fred Mayer, P.C. Richard, Radio Shack, Target, Fry's, etc. stores and web sites.
  • Question:-which tablet is best for reading books and watching movies?
I am planning on buying a tablet to read books and watch movies, but I am not sure which is good. Right now I am leaning toward the iPad 2 (or iPad 3) and the Kindle Fire. Any comments or reviews? Thanks

Answer:-The iPad has a bigger screen, so it will be better for videos. It also has a faster processor and will be more flexible overall.
  • Question:-Android Tablets for christmas?
we are big android fans but not so big that we know which tablet to purchase...

almost pre ordered a kindle fire but decided against it once i read more reviews about it

which, in your opinion, is the best android tablet on the market? is there something coming out before december that i should hang on for??

    any suggestions?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-What do YOU think?
is you had to review this poem what would you say its good and bad points are?
My Love Is Like to Ice
    by Edmund Spenser
My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How come it then that this her cold is so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
Or how comes it that my exceeding heat
Is not allayed by her heart-frozen cold,
But that I burn much more in boiling sweat,
And feel my flames augmented manifold?
What more miraculous thing may be told,
That fire, which is congealed with senseless cold,
Should kindle fire by wonderful device?
Such is the power of love in gentle mind,
That it can alter all the course of kind

Answer:-Before anyone else posts, I'd like to point out that the poem is by Edmund Spenser, deceased 400 years, not written by the poster. How did I know? My first clue was when the poster said, "by Edmund Spenser."
    Good points:
Spenser sets an analogy, and follows this one idea throughout the poem.
The imagery can be felt as well as seen.
It's very racy, while not being indecent. "But harder grows the more I her entreat?" is a punny description of her reaction, while referring to his. Feeling his "flames augmented manifold," is more hot-and-heavy description.
    Bad points:
Um, none. The language is brilliant and full of feeling, without being trite.
Okay, if you have to have a bad point, how about just the age of the poem? The use of words that are not common today means that it is not as accessible as it was when he wrote it.
  • Question:-I have a marketing project due soon... Any advice?
What is a good competitor for the iPad2 tablet market? I need a product that has specs and reviews, and can actually compete for the iPad2 shares.
I am thinking the about the Kindle Fire or perhaps the Toshiba Thrive or Asus Eee Pad.

    Any suggestions?

honda generator

  • Question:-What kind of fuel does a honda generator use?
Hi, this may be a stupid question but im a city slicker planning on campong and i want to buy a honda generator, What kind of fuel does it use? where do i get it? thanks.

Answer:-Kind of depends on the actual generator you are buying. MOST generators will run on regular gasoline. Your owner's manual will tell you the proper type...

Other types of fuels generators can run on: 2:1 stroke engine requires a mixture of oil and gas. Diesel Gasoline, Propane, Natural gas.
  • Question:-I need a bill of sale for a Honda generator?
I need a "bill of sale " to buy this 1100 dollar for a eu3000is honda generator.. and I don't have no clue how to make one or even the words on where to start. can anyboyd help me do one.

Answer:-BILL OF SALE. Sold, as is, one Honda generator, to ____________ , for the sum of $_____________.

    Seller's signature _____________________

    Receipt acknowledged (Buyer's signature) _________________

(Fill in buyer's name and price, seller signs to indicate title transfer, buyer signs to indicate receipt of generator)
  • Question:-How can we clean out the gas tank of our EU3000i Honda generator?
We strain the gas thoroughly and still there's dirt showing in the tank. We don't figure how to remove the tank so we never get the gas truly clean. The trouble doesn't appear to be water in the gas. The gas filter shows pieces of dirt. Last night the generator flickered, died, and wouldn't restart. But only a shot of WD40 to the air cleaner this morning would get the generator to start -- now it runs fine. The manual, of course, doesn't help; we are far away from a Honda dealer and would like to fix this ourselves.

Answer:-Your fuel tank probably is rusting inside because old fuel was left in it. Try using mineral spirits or kerosene to flush out your fuel system by filling the tank and flushing it by then dumping the tank by rolling the generator on its side to dump the fuel tank. repeat until all the loose rust and dirt come out. And then replace the fuel filter. Refuel the generator and run to operating temperature. If you don't run your tank completely dry between uses; use a fuel stabilizer like Stabil or SeaFoam to protect your carburetor and fuel system. Most fuel starts to spoil within 30 days.
  • Question:-How do you make a quiet Honda Generator louder?
I am doing a research project with birds in which I need to catch them using a spotlight at night and band them. I need a generator to both power the spotlight and to produce background noise so the birds can't hear the approach. How can you modify a generator to produce more sound?

Answer:-put a couple of holes in the muffler
  • Question:-where can I get parts for my Honda 10i generator?
I have a 12 yr old honda 10i generator and need a new carbie needle. I live in Perth WA.
Have tried to get one from USA, not sure if it would be compatible with the Aussie ones, but there again I don't think they would ship to here.
    Any help appreciated.

Answer:-go to a Honda dealer they should have one or be able to get one. There are also places that can rebuild them a lot cheaper than buying one. A12 year old generator isn't that old and they don't change styles that often.
  • Question:-advice for protecting honda generator from weather while running?
we have 2 honda eu2000i generators, one is a companion. there will be times when it will be used in rainy weather, any ideas on how to keep rain from getting into the wire connections while running outside?

Answer:-build a small shed to keep the water off of them
  • Question:-I have honda generator 5KV the problem is that it is not charging the battery?
I bought new battery 12 v and 8 amps but my generator is not charging it . Please kindly tell me how can i get it fixed and what suppose to be the problem . Any help would be appreciated

  • Question:-How come my honda 2000 watt generator will not power my Lennox furnace?
I am trying to hook up a Honda EU invertor 2000 generator to my Lennox furnace. The electrician put a pig tail on my furnace and that is hooked up correctly but when I put the power from the generator on, all that works is the thermostat display and then a red light blinks fast and a green light blinks slow.

Answer:-That generator puts out 16 amps, that should be enough to run it.
I agree with "Dan", check your polarity
& make sure you've got a good ground between the two
  • Question:-I have older honda generator. is the battery in it to start the generator a 6v or 12 v.?
the battery is about half the size of a car battery and it has 6 holes to fill water for it. I need to recharge battery but need to know what volt battery it is.

Answer:-12 volt- 2 volts per cell.
  • Question:-Catalytic Converter On A Honda Generator?
Is it possible to install a catalytic converter on a Honda Generator ?

Answer:-Not without a great deal of work. In order for a converter to work properly you need to maintain an air-fuel mixture ratio that is very close to stoichiometric at all times. This very important so that the converter doesn't overheat. If the converter overheats, it will burn out the catalyst and stop working.

This is why every car with a catalytic converter has a closed-loop fuel injection system with an O2 sensor. The FI system using the feedback from the O2 sensor can maintain very tight control over the fuel mixture.

If you're willing to equip your generator with a closed-loop injection system, you can make this work. It can be done. Check out Megasquirt.

oomph

  • Question:-Why do my Mexican neighbors play oomph paa music?
It sounds like a German beer hall. They have outdoor parties and play this music. I don't mind (except that they don't invite me) but the oomph paa is incessant, every song has the same bass line. I've never heard Mexican music like this.

Answer:-its very traditional and cultural music, and not too shabby drinking music ;) I hated it for years because of the same thing (neighbors listening to it all the time) but when I got invited over once I had a great time and now that music just brings good happy memories :D
  • Question:-Where can I go to put some oomph in my 95 chrysler lebaron?
I love my 95 convertible lebaron and want to put on performance parts, bodykit, rims, and all that jazz what do I do?

Answer:-Couldnt even come close to what you want, you didnt give the engine size that is in your car, and since its front wheel drive what kind of performence do you want? Chrystal ball is in the shop
  • Question:-My car won't start but still has power and wants to turn over. Just doesnt have the Oomph. What is wrong?
    It's a 92 Ford Taurus.
Have already replaced the fuel filter, and battery is new.

Answer:-Your battery could be showing 12v but doesn't have the cranking amps to turn your starter. If your battery is 3-5yrs old or older I would start there. If you take the battery with you when you buy a battery they will load test it for you. Good Luck
  • Question:-Can I find Oomph cds at Best Buy or Cheapo?
I really like Oomph and i would like to know where to find them.

Answer:-I doubt it they are an underground German band. Most likely not...you'll have to buy them online or go to germany.
  • Question:-Where can iI buy Oomph! Monster CD with the track Sandmann on it?
Wikipedia says that the reissued version of Monster (album by Oomph!) has Sandmann on it... and I can't find the cd to buy it online. if anyone finds it with the track sandmann on it, a link where i can buy the reissued version, can you link it please? i've tried ebay and amazon and a bunch of other sites but i think i may be wording it wrong and just cant find the cd online. ><

    Answer:-http://www.grooves-inc.com/oomph-monster-gun-records-cd-album-pZZa1-688313384.html?currency=USD
And No your wording was right
  • Question:-How much more OOMPH in a V8 than a V6?
I'm planning on getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee and want some nice get up and go in it. Will the 4.7 Liter V8 be that much difference from the 3.7 Liter V6? Thanks

Answer:-Yes, you will definitely feel more power in the 4.7L V8. If you really want "some nice get up and go", get the HEMI 5.7L V8. It's much nicer than the 4.7 V8 and actually gets about the same gas mileage.

    2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    3.7L V6 210HP 15/20 mpg
    4.7L V8 305HP 14/19 mpg
    5.7L V8 330HP 13/19 mpg
  • Question:-Does a hybrid compact car (Prius, Civic) have enough "oomph" to get up a steep icy hill/driveway?
I have a very steep driveway - over the course of about 30 feet it rises approximately 10-12 feet to meet the street. Will a hybrid have enough torque to get up this hill in the wintertime in New Hampshire?

Answer:-The current hatchback style Toyota Prius is a midsize car (like the hybrid Toyota Camry), not a compact like the Honda Civic Hybrid.

Yes, you should be fine, plenty of "oomph." The electric motors have their highest amount of torque off-the-line.

However, at least with the Toyota Prius (but I'd suggest on any car that you decide to buy, hybrid or not), you'd want to look into changing out the OE 15" Goodyear Integrity tires on the base model Prius for something with more traction (better "all season" tires or a dedicated set of winter/snow/ice tires) to avoid triggering the over-protective traction control. (I put Nokian WR A.W.P. tires on my Prius to get out of my longer/less steep driveway in MA - much better traction getting up/out the driveway, and much safer driving in bad weather.)

I'd be more concerned about bottoming out one of your bumpers on such a steep driveway.

You might want to ask some actual owners, rather than the random assortment of mostly nay-sayers and non-owners found here on Y!A:

  • Question:-What herb/spice will give a roast eggplant and garlic mix a bit of oomph?
The mixture really needs something to lift it :)

Answer:-Paprika or sumac helps. Sumac is spicy and lemony, so that accents roast eggplant and sumac gives garlic a bit of a more-ish kick.

  • Question:-What is it about having a cowbell playing in a song that gives it that 'oh so special' little extra oomph?
    Who needs more cowbell?

Answer:-It's the raw sex appeal, the ladies love it.
  • Question:-How can I write with more "oomph?" I need to make my business writing more interesting and exciting. How can
I do that, especially when I'm not that enthused about the subjects? Use action words, verbs is one tip. Any others? Any classes that teach this?

Answer:-Try to find a way to make the paper more interesting. If YOU think it's boring, your teacher probably does too. Good business people find a way to make something interesting and appealing to others, so start practicing now. If your given a project to research a company or do an analysis on a company, look for quirks that are interesting. Don't be afraid to use some light humor in your writing. Teachers like unique, rather than the normal dull papers they always read.
When you write it, it should make you smile, because it will probably make the teacher smile too.
If it's a REALLY lame project, sometimes there isn't much to do about interesting/exciting, but you could still try to implement a little humor, for example using a related comparison to something else that is funny. "This company was doing so dismally in the fourth quarter, it was like watching Enron after the scandal." Is more interesting than, "The company did poorly in the fourth quarter."

    Hope that helps!
