Answer:-espn.com would work - Question:-is there a phone number I can call and get up to date college football scores?
Answer:-Try 1-888-75-SCORES (72673) - Question:-Impossible college football scores.?
Ok all you college football fans. I have a football puzzler for you. Using NCAA football rules what are the only scores that are completely impossible to have? By this I mean team A has X points and team B has Y points. I want you to list the actual scores that are impossible. My guess, and I am not completely sure, is that there are only 6 combos that are impossible. I will list my 6 after I hear some answers. Have fun.
Thanks for the responses. So far, the only responder to come close is "Billy", but there is a technicality error to his answer. He is absolutely correct that it is possible to score 1 point through a "one point safety" by the defense off a conversion. However, it is also possible for a final score to be 1-0. This would make a totoal of only 6 impossible scores. Can anybody figure it out? Good luck.
Well done "Better than Most". However, I was including the 1-0 technical forfeiture score as a possible "official" score and that is why I came up with 6. However As far as the 0-0 score, I too am not 100% sure of the rules in terms of game termination but presumed that play would continue until someone in fact scored.
This is an interesting topic for another puzzler. Peace and thanks for playing. Hope you enjoyed..Scott
Answer:-Good question.
I don't think that 0 - 0 is possible. I'm not positive but I'm not reading the overtime rules to figure it out. Presumably they would play until one team or the other scored and then held the opposing team. Maybe they would call it a draw after 10 overtimes. Who cares?
By my count the impossible scores are:
I think 1 - 1 is impossible because a team must score at least a touchdown to earn a 1 pt safety.
I think 1 - 2 is impossible because a team must score at least a touchdown to earn a 1 pt safety.
I think 1 - 3 is impossible for the same reason as previously stated.
Same is true of 1 - 4 and 1 - 5.
A score of 1-6 is possible if the defense scores a one point safety after the first touchdown of the game. I believe that this is the lowest possible score when one team has but a single point.
I think 1 - 7 is the last impossible score. I can't figure a way for Team A to have exactly 7 points if Team B already has 1.
So I came up with 7.
That's right. You won't catch me on the old forfeit rule which allows for a final score of 1 - 0. - Question:-Need online college football scores from September 30th, 1950?
Sports nuts - I need a site that has results of all college football games played on September 30th, 1950. What makes this more difficult - I need scores from smaller schools - especially a game played between Norwich (Vermont) and Coast Guard on September 30th, 1950. The score was 41 - 0, but I have conflicting info on who won and where the game was played. Have not been able to confirm anything online so far. Any football researchers out there who know the definitive answer? (Coast Guard or Norwich alumni might also know...)
Answer:-Coast Guard beat Norwich 41-0 in New London, CT.
Go to cfbdatawarehouse.com.
They have the scores for every game every team has ever played going back pre 1900. It has the location the game was played, the score, etc. AMAZING INFORMATION. - Question:-How do I get College Football and NFL scores on my cell phone?
Answer:-go to your web browser and look up www.m.espn.com
It will give you the option to go to the scoreboard.
- Question:-Where are the college football scores?
Answer:-They're here: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/scoreboard - Question:-Who is going to win next weak in college football? name the scores of your games you want to watch and rank‼?
I really want to watch BYU at Utah
Ranks Champion series
BYU:14
Utah:7
BYU lost to TCU and Utah is undeafeted
They are rivals that are in state. And I think whoever wins might have a chance at a BCS game
Scores
BYU: 38
Utah: 36
Answer:-I agree with you, the Holy War should be very interesting this week. It's going to be a thriller! This game is going to come down to who has a better 2 min. drill and who has the ball last. Who is that team? BYU!
BYU 34
Utah 31
Texas Tech and Oklahoma should be very interesting too. I think here, particularly in Norman, Oklahoma is going to throw a monkey wrench into Texas Tech and into the BCS standings.
TxT 42
OU 49
Boise State at Nevada has the potential of being interesting too... However, Boise State will be too much for the Wolfpack.
BSU 42
UN 21
Cheers!

act
- Question:-**************ACT**************?
I took the ACT last April and did good on the reading portion but not so great on the math. I recently took it again. Can you combine scores of different tests to get a better composite score for colleges to look at?
Answer:-It matter which college you go to. Some schools will take your highest scores from each section, and use those for a "super score". You still have to send them all your scores, so they see them, but they only consider the highest ones. That's not all colleges though, some just look at your highest composite score. You could probably find out whether or not the colleges you want to go to do that by looking at their websites, but if you can't find anything, I would just send all your scores and hope they do. - Question:-act?????????????
when you get your scores back is the composite score what you made overall?
Answer:-The composite score is the average of all of your other scores, so yes it is what you made overall. - Question:-What act of civil disobedience could I write a paper about participating in?
I have to know the law I am protesting against.
How I am passively resisting and what my methods are.
Whether or not I am alone in the act or with an organization.
What could be or are the positive and negative consequences of my action.
How do others view the act I am committing.
What are my motives for committing the act.
What was achieved by the act.
What was the experience like.
I really just need a jump start on this paper.
I have no ideas what to write about,
or know anything about the laws really.
Answer:-The healthcare bill is a popular topic, You can say how you would not let the government force you to buy something you dont wanna buy and how if you dont you have to pay up to a 25,000 dollar fine and/or go to jail. - Question:-What is the difference in act one or act two in a school play?
So I'm in a play at school and i need to know what the difference between act one or act two. Please don't post answers like, oh if you don't even know what the difference is then why are you in it? It is very new to me and i need to know the difference between act one or act two. Thanks!
Answer:- - Question:-What are some good acting scripts that I can act to and improve my acting skills?
I love to act so I try to look for some scripts online to act to. I like ones with romance and a love story or with dramatic scenes and love. Can anybody send me links or stuff to just the scripts and not a site where I have to find one on my own?
Answer:-west side story. you have accents, forbidden love, emotion, death- it's perfect. i got so into it once i started crying because the character was:)
http://www.aellea.com/script/westside.txt - Question:-How do I act more like my normal self in front of others?
When Im in front of friends, teachers, and any other person, I act silly and loud. I feel obnoxious but I can't stop it. It just happens. When Im alone, I act quiet and happy. I listen to soft lovesongs from the early 20th century but when Im around other people, I pretend to like rap and pop when I really don't. Why is this and how do I act like my normal self in front of others.
Answer:-its probably because you dont have a strong understanding of what kind of person you are
try meditating and camling yourself and control what you do around others - Question:-What differentiates the act of simply grouping people from the act of stereotyping? How can stereotyping?
What differentiates the act of simply grouping people from the act of stereotyping? How can stereotyping effect group relations? Give an example of a stereotype you find in your everyday life. Comment on the experiences of your classmates—are they the same or different from yours, and how?
Answer:-Grouping implies more of an objective reason for assembling people together. You might place people in a group according to age or race. Those are easily discernable characteristics that can be used to draw group lines. Stereotyping usually involves placing people in a group according to characteristics that they might not possess. More often, stereotyping assigns characteristics to groups according to common assumptions about the groups such as black people like watermelon and fried chicken or Mexicans are sneaky and lazy. Stereotyping can have a great impact on group relations if people judge those in other groups based on stereotypes instead of basing their judgements on the reality they experience with a particular person. For example, let's say that I'm a white kid who likes to play baseball but I don't want to play with my neighbor who also likes to play baseball because he is black and I've heard that black kids don't like white kids and they are all in gangs and kill people. Let's say the black kid next door doesn't want to be my friend because he has heard that all white kids don't like black kids and they burn crosses and hang the black kids if they can catch them. That's stereotyping. Grouping and stereotyping can both be legitimate in some instances. Stereotyping more often is not accurate. - Question:-How to get the confidence to act in front of others well?
I want to act. it's just what I want to do. But how do I build confidence completely and be comfortable acting in front of others? I just want to be able to act with ease, and I want it to come out naturally. Having confidence, character, and eye contact are very important things. How do I build these three things so I can pursue my dream of acting?
Answer:-With everything there is a start. Usually when you start off, you start off small. Come up with a script. Possibly write your own. You will build confidence from discovering you can write. Then, try talking in front of a pet. Whether they pay attention or not it helps. I did talk to my dog once, (on advice from a friend) and even though it was weird it did work. After the pet, move up to family. Try a sibling. Sometimes parents might not be brutally honest. A sibling usually will unless they don't mind if you look like an @$$. After family try a friend, then try aa classmate or a speach class/public speaking assignments. Pick something at school where you can thrust yourself in the public eye. Maybe run for a school office. (Class President) You will definitely have to speak to classmates. At that point you should be ready to try acting in other venues. - Question:-How are you supposed to act around a boyfriend?
I've had many boyfriends but, they all end. So, it just feels like I don't know how to act around them. I know there is no specific way to act but, how are you supposed to act?
Like, stuff to talk about, not to have those weird silent moments..Please don't say sports!
I know you not supposed to "act"...like act in a movie....
Answer:-Around a boyfriend your not supposed to act. Your supposed to be yourself, the point of having a boyfriend being different than a guy-friend is that you are comfortable around him.
You talk about anything and everything that comes to your mind. I don't mean to sound very not helpful, but we can't tell you how to act. Around someone as important as a boyfriend, you just talk about anything that comes to mind. What do you talk with with your friends? Inside jokes, gossip, movies, who got with who, etc...
I act who I really am: around friends I am loud, I can't whisper for my life, and experienced (guy-wise). Around my boyfriend I am shy, I always whisper, and I am clumsy and have no idea what I'm doing. I take risks and try new things. This is why I am experienced when I'm around my friends, but around my boyfriend I'm just as innocent and unknowing as anyone else. I still get really nervous when I know my boyfriend is going to kiss me -- I don't want to mess up! Around friends it's like "been there, done that" and I'm not afraid to talk about kissing guys.
It'll come naturally =] If there's an awkward silence say "so..." awkwardly then crack up and voila, you guys have an inside joke and a new thing to talk about. I'm not you, therefore I can not tell you what to do, but just relax.
-Catherine - Question:-What is the act that allows police to arrest political protesters?
I heard there was recently a new law passed under Homeland Security that can basically target any US citizen who expresses disdain for the current Administration. Protesters and the like are labeled as terrorists and apprehended as such. I haven't heard anything on the news about this, but it sounds pretty serious. With the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act passed under the guise of "protecting freedom" it's really no surprise to me that something like this would happen, but I'd like to verify. If true, we are certainly moving into dangerous waters...
Answer:-Wow. How little people know about their own government.
H.R. 1955: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?tab=summary&bill=h110-1955
Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act Raises Fears of New Government Crackdown on Dissent
http://www.democracynow.org/2007/11/20/homegrown_terrorism_prevention_act_raises_fears
Barely any media coverage of this at all. In this bill: “Homegrown terrorism” is vaguely defined as "the planned use, threatened use, of force or violence by a group to intimidate or coerce the government of the United States."
So some worry that a simple act of civil disobedience, such as blocking the door of a recruitment center in protest, could be considered terrorism.

collegeboard
- Question:-How long does it take for collegeboard to send scores to colleges?
I took the SAT test in may and decided to send my scores this october. I sent my scores to the University of Utah on October 20th. Collegeboard notified me that they sent my scores on october 22nd. The University of Utah has an application tracking system that tells me what i still need to finish. I have done everything that is required, but it still says that my SATs are still needed. It is now November 10th and they still say that they haven't gotten it. Could this be that they don't update their tracking system often or is this normal. Thanks
Answer:-Contact the CollegeBoard Customer Service and ask them to investigate and if necessary to resend your scores./ - Question:-How long does it take collegeboard to send scores to colleges?
I am taking the SAT on October 4th. According to collegeboard, they will have the scores online on October 23rd. The deadline for Hofstra university's early action is November 1st. Will Collegeboard send my scores by the deadline?
Answer:-I know, I am worried about that too. One of my deadlines is november 1st also. I think we'll be fine because on the applications you need to just type in your scores (which we'll be able to do because we'll see them online) and then the scores become validated once they receive it from college board. As long as your application is in by nov 1 and you told college board to send it (or you can register Hofstra as one of the 4 colleges they let you send to and it will be sent out 1-2 weeks from October 23) you should be fine. Go class of 2009!!! - Question:-How do you view the SAT scores you sent to colleges from CollegeBoard?
I'm pretty sure I sent them all in, but some of my colleges are saying that they are missing. Can I check how many I've sent and to which colleges from CollegeBoard?
Answer:-it takes a while for the schools to receive or process them, go on collegeboard.com and sign in. click on view scores or send scores and you can check there - Question:-Can i send my SAT scores 2 universities without using the collegeboard site?
Its expensive 2 send scores via collegeboard. It would b really helpful if anybody can help me.
Answer:-No, universities have an agreement with collegeboard, since its non-profit. They will accept the scores only from the website. - Question:-Does collegeboard average your SAT scores or does the college?
If i take the SAT 4 times, will collegeboard average my score or will the college i submit my scores average the scores?
Answer:-From what I understand, you can submit just the scores that you want to. However, I believe it is better to submit all your scores because a college would rather see that you've taken the SAT multiple times than just see your highest score. That's my understanding of the matter. Correct me if I'm wrong, people. - Question:-Can i start looking for scholarships on Collegeboard as a Junior?
I am going to be a junior next year (after this summer), and i was wondering when i should start looking for scholarships. On collegeboard.com i found about 100 scholarships that fit my interests. I selected that i was a junior in my educational status. Should i wait a bit longer? Or should i start searching?
Answer:-Actually now's probably the best time to start looking for scholarships. Not only are there a lot that only juniors are eligible for, but you'll have a lot more time now than your senior year. The only thing is, hopefully you already know where you're going to college and approximately what you're studying, because usually scholarship applications require that kind of information.
Good luck! - Question:-How do I send my SAT reasoning scores by rush delivery on collegeboard?
My deadline is December 1st and I barley sent my scores in today (11-18). People are telling me Collegeboard takes forever to send your scores to a University, so I want to send them through rush delivery. I can't find the link to rush delivery on collegeboard anywhere.
Answer:-You can either have your college adviser do it or you can directly contact the college board (go to website and call number and e-mail them) and they will do the best they can do. - Question:-How do I send my SAT scores to CSUmentor through collegeboard?
I'm really stressing out about my sat scores because their due by December and i'm having trouble sending my scores. I sent my sat scores through csumentor by putting in the code 3594. However, on my sent history on collegeboard it says "No score reports have been sent to your selected colleges and/or scholarship programs."
Answer:-send SAT scores to CSUmentor - Question:-How do you send SAT scores to colleges using Collegeboard?
I am applying to UCs and CSUs:
-How do i know which colleges to send my scores to?
-Where do i go to get my fee waiver identification code?
-Is collegeboard an "additional" score report or a required
thing?
-How many colleges can I send my SAT scores to?
[please no "i dunno/whatever" answers] thanks.
Answer:-This site will help you: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/scores/sending.html
The registration fee covers four schools so choose carefully. You have to pay for more. - Question:-What would you do if the CollegeBoard lost part of your AP Exam?
I took an AP World Exam last May. The CollegeBoard mailed me a letter saying they had lost the Multiple choice part of my exam. They have me three options. One of them is to have a projected grade. My other two options are to retake the Multiple choice or simply cancel the entire thing.
I definitely don't want to cancel. I'm considering retaking it, but I don't know when I would retake it. If I have to wait until May 2008, I'm pretty sure I won't remember everything and I'm won't have time to study for another AP exam (I plan to take six next year, another one will only stress me out more). However I'm afraid the projected grade will hurt me and some colleges will not accept projected grades.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Answer:-You would not have to retake the multiple choice in May 2008 if you chose to retake the MC section. You would retake it relatively soon. It might be worth it to call to find out exactly when, though. (I think that it's a good thing that you don't want to cancel. Then all that work is lost, right?) Unfortunately, even if you knew the material very well in May, it's very likely that you've forgotten a lot of it by now. You'd be the best judge of that. The projected score, however, may help you instead of hurt you. Again, you have to consider if you think you did well on the free responses. Weigh the two against each other, and consider which one would get you a higher score. Projecting is always the easier option, but if you really feel that doing that would hurt your grade...
I guess this is you:
"Note: On extremely rare occasions, it is possible for a portion or all of an AP Exam to become lost in the shipping and handling process. In such a case, the student is presented with multiple options, which typically include an opportunity to retest using an alternate form of the exam or to cancel the grade and receive a refund. In addition, a projected grade based on the remaining portion(s) may be available for some AP Exams."
