yahoo.com/mail

  • Question:-yahoo.com mail ????
how do you delete a folder on yahoo mail ? i can't figure it out ! lol

Answer:-In the folder panel---just above the inbox, are the links----{add--edit}. Click edit and a page opens with all your folders listed, where you can either "rename or delete".

With the New Mail, you can just right the folder and choose "delete" from the drop menu.

In either case, the folder has to be empty to delete it.
  • Question:-Yahoo.com Mail?
When I send out mail on my comptur It can not get to weir it is going and yes I'm using the right address to send them they come right back saying that the letter could not be deliverd because of some kind of block what can I do to find if I axadently but the block their and I just don't rember or if some one has done it I'm just not computer savy at all

Answer:-Go back and look at the address again. Your posting is so full of spelling errors, I can't believe you'd get the email address spelled correctly.
  • Question:-How do I change my @yahoo.com mail address to match my login name?
My account was setup so that I had multiple addresses, a feature that Yahoo! used to have but doesn't appear to anymore. I would like for the other address to be used instead of this one. How do I switch my account to that other address?

Answer:-You can not switch, just use that one instead of the one you are using. Inform all of your contacts of the new E-mail address. Remember, that if you try to close or delete the primary account, you will lose ALL of your accounts associated to it.
  • Question:-How do you export mail folders into a new Yahoo.com account from an sbcglobal.net account?
I recently opened a yahoo.com mail account and so far I have only been able to import the contact list into my new yahoo account. I need to import in my mail folders.

Answer:-Sorry I didn't find an easy way to do this. The only way I can tell you is to forward the emails to your new account. Copy and paste won't work.

I believe you can try to "export to a file" If you have opened Outlook for the sbcglobal account, go to "File" and choose "import & export". Then choose "export to a file". Choose the folder you want to export, and choose where you want to save the emails on your computer. But this will not put them into your yahoo account. I'm not sure if you can even read them after you have moved them since they will be in a different format that ends ...csv. Try exporting one and try to read it before you do any more.

Forward the emails, is probably easier if that's where you want them. Notify people or businesses of your new email address. I know, could be time comsuming.

    Hope this helps.
  • Question:-Can i have my incoming yahoo.com mail read via my sprint treo and also via my desktop via microsoft outlook?
i don't want to manage two separate email archive systems, and prefer using outlook for archiving on my desktop, while accessing that mail on my cellphone via yahoo when out of the house.

Answer:-You will need adjust the mail application's POP settings to get your Yahoo! Mail messages into it.

POP access is a service for owners of one of the following:

Yahoo! Mail Pop Access & Forwarding
    Yahoo! Mail Plus Premium Services
    A Broadband account
    A Small Business account

To use an email client or application to send and receive Yahoo! Mail messages, you may need to designate a new incoming (POP) mail server and a new outgoing (SMTP) mail server. Consult your owner's manual for instructions on designating servers in the email application.

If you can't add new POP or SMTP servers, you will need to change your current server settings. Before you make any changes, write down your current settings. You might need to revert to your original settings later if you decide to send and receive messages from your other email addresses.

The following steps will help you find the POP settings for your Yahoo! Mail account and configure it:

Log onto your Yahoo! Mail account from a PC.
    Click Options > Mail Options.
    Click POP & Forwarding.
Click Set up or edit POP & Forwarding.
    Click POP Settings.

Note your Server Setting information. Your phone email client or application will ask for these settings:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3)— for example, pop.mail.yahoo.com.
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)— for example, smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
Account Name/Username, your Yahoo! Member ID— for example, myuserID.
Email address, your Yahoo! Mail address— for example, myuserID@yahoo.com.
Password, your Yahoo! Mail password— for example, l0ngitudin*l

    Notes:

POP server settings may change from time to time and you should confirm the current POP server settings in Yahoo! Mail if it is not working.

When using Microsoft Outlook, replace the "@" in your address with "%".
As an alternative to configuring Yahoo! Mail POP mail configurations, go to:

    http://mobile.yahoo.com/mail

Enter your phone number and send a link to your phone; the best Yahoo! Mail experience will be suggested to you.
  • Question:-what happened to ddb1955@yahoo,com mail it has been a while back?
I had lots of e mail from friends and family was sick so i was off the computer for a while and now my mail is gone

Answer:-After 4 months of inactivity Yahoo closes mail accounts automatically and all content within is deleted. If it hasn't been that long ago, I suggest to go to this online help form and describe your problem:
    http://help.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/mail/cgi_ymail
You could also send a mail to e-mail support:

  • Question:-I want to start using Microsoft Outlook for email but I want to keep my @yahoo.com mail address. Any Hints?
I have entered my pop address and smtp address. I am stuck when trying to send a test message. It will not accept user name and password. I have tried user name with the @ sign and w/o. I have tried every combo and verification. Is it just impossible to combine a yahoo account with Outlook?

Answer:-they are 2 completely different email providers. you can't combine them at all. just start having everyone send you email at your outlook address.
  • Question:-How do I separate my yahoo.com mail from my sbcglobal.net mail? They come in combined.?
I use one account for internet transactions and one for personal mail and I don't like to have to separate out the personal ones when I'm in a hurry. Thanks.

Answer:-Depending on what software you use, you have a couple options. You can use the Filters that are available within the Yahoo Web Client to sort your incoming mail. If you are using Outlook or Outlook or express, it has an even larger rules system that you can use to sort your existing and incoming mail.
  • Question:-I can't access my Yahoo.com mail account. Please help - could it be a hacker or just a glitch?
I can't access my Yahoo.com mail. Hopefully, it's just a glitch but I wonder if it's a hacker since I can't access FaceBook either. Use Firefox, newest version and never had problems with Yahoo before. Am not good with computers but have followed all the Yahoo suggestions. Can anyone help with this. Thank you.

Answer:-You may need to clean out your browser cache,
click on this Link and choose the browser
    you use.

this will clear out the excess of cookies.
We do need some to keep our programs working

new gmail

  • Question:-New Gmail?
All my friends using Gmail have "group chat" under "options" when chatting. They also have the new emoticons that you can go to by clicking a smiley face at the bottom right hand corner of the chatting screen. Their scrolling thing is shiny and has round edges. Do they have the new version? How can i make my Gmail like that?

Answer:-Open your Gmail. On the top you will see New Version (next to the Settings). Change.
  • Question:-How do you forward old Outlook emails to a new Gmail account?
I have an email account now through Microsoft Outlook Web App Beta, and just made a new Gmail account. How do I transfer all my old emails to gmail so I don't lose them?

Besides moving them one by one.

Answer:-When you create a Gmail, there is an email in your inbox that allows you to import your emails from a previous account. If you deleted that email, go to settings in the top right hand corner and select the Accounts and Imports button.
  • Question:-Can you print your emails with the new gmail gadget in the new igoogle?
I love the new igoogle. But I can't seem to figure out how to print emails with the updated gmail gadget. Can you even print your emails with it or not?

    Answer:-No u can not.
  • Question:-If I get a new gmail account will I have to also get a new youtube/picasa account?
If I get a new gmail account can (how?) change the primary email address on my youtube/picasa account so I don't know to get new ones? I really don't want to have to re-upload my videos onto youtube or my hundreds of pictures onto picasa.

    Thanks!

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Why does my Opera browser not show the new Gmail login page?
I have the Opera web browser (latest version) and I notice that it desn't show the new Gmail beta login page with the mountains. It shows the default login page with the white background. I also have Mozilla Firefox (latest version) and it does show the new login page.

Does anyone who uses Opera have the new page? Is there a way to change your settings so it displays?

Answer:-This Beta Login Page is Only Noticed in [ IE 7.0 and Above] and Other Competitive Browser [Firefox]. Its Nothing Wrong with Opera Browser. The GMail Team at present has released its New Code only in the above Browsers. It might take time for their new code to be released in IE 6.0 and Opera. Hope the above explanation is clear to You.
  • Question:-If I created a new Gmail account, how would I be able to connect my old one with my new one?
I recently created a new Gmail account and would like to import contacts and, if possible, allow mail that people send to my old Gmail account be sent to my new one. How would I do this?

Answer:-move emails from one Gmail account to another.
After fiddling around with it a bit, I figured it out and it’s not very hard. Of course, it would be cool if Gmail just had a button called Import that let you connect to your old Gmail account and import all the emails, but it’s not that simple.
In order to move emails from one Gmail account to another, you have to follow the steps below:
Step 1: First, log into the old email account (current one you are using) and click on Settings, then Forwarding and POP and choose Enable POP for all mail. Make sure to click Save Changes at the bottom.

Step 2: Now log into the new email account and click on Settings again. Then click on Accounts and click the Add a mail account you own link.

Step 3: Now type in the old Gmail email address into the text box and click Next.

Step 4: Now type in the password for the old email account and choose pop.gmail.com from the POP Server drop down list. Click Add Account.

Step 5: Next you’ll be asked if you want to be able to send email as oldaddress@gmail.com. This is useful if you want the mail to come into the new account, but be able to respond using the old email address.

Step 6: Type in your name for the old email address and choose whether you want the reply address to be the old address or you can optionally change it to the new one, which is a good idea so that people will eventually stop writing to the old address.

Step 7: Finally, you will have to verify that you actually own the old email address by clicking the Send Verification button. You can then log into your old email account and copy the confirmation code in the email. Paste that into the appropriate box. Click Verify.

Step 8: Now just sit back and watch all your emails get imported into the new Gmail account. If you have a lot of emails, it could take several hours, so be patient!
So that’s all the steps required to transfer emails from one Gmail account to another. If you have any questions, post a comment! Enjoy!
  • Question:-How do i share files using limewire but privatly with the new gmail thing they have?
How do i share files using limewire but privatly with the new gmail thing they have plz some1 help

Answer:-I have been using P2P programs for over 5 years now, and I highly suggest not using limewire. I can also say that WinMX is still by far the best one out of all of them. The original owners gave up on WinMX, and the community came together and got it back up. And now it has more features than before.

Unlike Limewire, WinMX protects you from the RIAA/MPAA by blocking them from even getting on the network, it removes all fake files from your search results so you never get fake files, and it's fast and easy to use and NO SPYWARE!

  • Question:-With the new Gmail Phone Call Feature, can you make a phone call from your Ipod Touch?
Say you have a Gmail, and you have an Ipod Touch. Gmail recently came out with a new feature where you can call any mobile phone in the US and Canada for free. Since the Ipod Touch can access Gmail, can the Ipod Touch actually make phone calls using that Gmail feature?

    Thank you.

Answer:-If your Ipod has a Mic , it should work . It would go threw WiFi, but, if the connection is too weak it could DisConnect. My biggest concern is that if the WiFi connection doesn't require a password, WiFi or Wireless Hackers could snoop on your conversation. Which may require some sort of firewall.

iPhone's with a Cell Service Provider, usually has signal encryption which can make it difficult for hackers to break in.

If your under a WPA connection or higher, you'll be fine. WEP are weak security.

*He/She , makes a good point , in-order for Gmail Phone to work you need to install the free Gmail Phone Driver. There are no apps that will make Gmail Phone work on iTouch.

But, search around on YouTube and you might find something:
