Answer:-That is a fascinating idea. I did a little bit of research and it could actually come in quite handy to use a toaster oven as a soldering iron. It's very tedious to solder a lot of components. I found this url which you may have already seen:

which discusses how to use the oven as a soldering iron. It has some recommendations on temperature. Your best bet would be to take the part numbers of the radio shack parts and google them and then look at the specs on them to see how much heat they can withstand. You might need a solder that melts at a low temperature. That might be your best bet and then buy some spare solar cells and give it a try. What I would do first is heat the oven up and then try melting a small piece of solder first, or as that one link suggested, getting some of the liquid solder type stuff. If it doesn't damage the components, that might be a neat way to run through soldering multiple items fast.
Can you calibrate your temperature? That might be a good thing to do as well. - Question:-What are the benefits of shopping at Radio Shack?

Answer:-Radio Shack started as a place for hobbyists, ham radio, electronics, and eventually computers.
They moved their model to malls and more consumer goods, ie Cell Phones, TVs, BUT still cater (to some degree) to the home hobbyist. My opinion is that they are making money by the cell phone credits they get (remember they are national and sell a LOT of phones), plus a few bucks on batteries, answering machines, etc.
I, like your husband, dont like to shop there unless it is something I think that only they will carry locally, like electronic components (resistors, boards, switches) because I think they are overpriced on everything else.
CompUSA went under because they just couldnt compete with BestBuy. They had little to no technical support, a limited inventory and very expensive locations, usually in strip malls. They just didnt make any right moves in the last 10 years to keep them competitive, and neglected to make money in services like the Geek Squad does. - Question:-when to be at radio shack on black friday and when do doors open?

Answer:-It's usually just line by line. Easiest thing I would do, open up MSPaint and type in what you want ("13") then magnify it so you can pixilate it and base your ASCII characters on that.
If you only want to use one character, you may want to just have a space or period to outline the 13... eg:

Answer:-I'm not aware of an efficient method for doing that without using recursion. Answer:-Recursion is when a method calls itself. It is sometimes used because some problems are easier to solve using a recursive solution than an iterative solution. There is no problem that absolutely requires the use of recursion. Its just that for some problems it is easier.
Recursion is less efficient and uses more memory than iterative solutions. This is because each time the method calls itself, a new stack frame is created with that method, and all of its state. In severe cases, this can result in overflowing the stack, or running out of memory. Because of this, recursion does have to be used with care.

I'm finding it extremely difficult to understand recursion. How do I write a recursive program for say division without a guess and check approach. For doing a pre-order traversal on a BST, how do I write a recursive method?
Answer:-Writing a recursive method is a bit like making a plan to line up dominoes and knock them over. You have to anticipate how each individual recursive call (domino) is going to add its part to accomplishing the whole task.
That means that the "meat" of a recursive method is not in the recursive part, but in the "end cases" the parts of the code that execute when you are not going to re-call the method, the last domino in the chain, the one that you push to start the fun.
So, let's look at your first example, a recursive program for (integer) division. The division algorithm you are trying to implement is "for positive d and n, let n(0) be n. Keep subtracting d from n(i) step by step, until in some step q, n(q) is less than d. Your answer is q."
The key is to look at the END case first. What if at the start n is already less than d? Then you did "zero steps", so your division result is 0.
In pseudocode:

Answer:-Mail.app is the Apple e-mail client?
Fairly simple. You have 2 ways of doing this.
Go into GMail settings. Under the forwarding with POP/IMAP tab.
You can use either POP download (enable it), and by the second option "When messages are accessed with POP" just select "delete GMail's copy"
Otherwise, enable IMAP, which has 2 way communication between your client and GMail, meaning that any action you perform on your client is duplicated on GMail ... this should apply to deleting e-mails as well.
GMail recommends you use IMAP, but its up to personal choice I think. You can just follow the instructions in the setting screen to set up your client for whichever service you use.

Step 7: Finally, you will have to verify that you actually own the old email address by clicking the Send Verification button. You can then log into your old email account and copy the confirmation code in the email. Paste that into the appropriate box. Click Verify.
Step 8: Now just sit back and watch all your emails get imported into the new Gmail account. If you have a lot of emails, it could take several hours, so be patient!

I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 1450 GPS and it has some problems detecting the signal.
I'm in my car and it cannot detect my locations after I hit Tools > Where am I?
I live in Northern Toronto, however, it only shows the location to be some random place on King Street in downtown Toronto. Can anyone help me troubleshoot/give help if you've had the same problem? 10pts up on the line.
Answer:-Charge the unit completely, power it up and let it sit with a clear view of the sky for at least 15 minutes. This should allow it to get a solid fix on your location. When you go back it should have a good signal and has located where it is exactly, set this as your home location.
When using it in the car or traveling make sure it has a clear view of the sky. I typically will power mine up prior to leaving to allow it time to set its coordinates. - Question:-Adding Chinese voice to my Garmin nuvi 1450?

Select Mandarin Chinese from this list and it will install!

I have an iPhone that has a GPS application on it. About 3 months ago, my friends and I went to meet in Arkansas, northern part and it was a bit mountainous. There was one coming from Oklahoma. She was using a Garmin and I was coming from Kentucky and I was using the iPhone GPS application. On my way, my GPS worked perfectly, following every road it indicated, I reached my destination with no problems whatsoever. My lady friend coming from Oklahoma, encountered some dead spots along the way, the Garmin stopped working and she ended up in Little Rock, over a hundred miles off.
I've used my iPhone GPS going to the west coast, up north in Ohio and down south Louisiana and it has YET to fail me. It takes me where I need to go.

Answer:-You need to buy an SSL cerificate, install it on your server, then call your page using httpS instead of http.
Not very useful, and expensive (each certificate is annually renewable). Unless you make financial transactions, it is pretty much useless.

Answer:-I'd suggest using a standard PNG image with 16x16 dimensions as your favicon instead.
This can be done by putting the following code in the <head> tags.
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.png">
Of course you may be able to also use that code to adjust your icon problem. My suggestion is to use the <link> tag as shown and make sure you put the source of the icon as the full URL (h ttp://www.mysite.com/favicon.ico - or whatever you want it to be).
