tony stewart

  • Question:-Tony Stewart???
I'm a tony stewart fan. I'm always looking for new info on him, so if you can tell me a fact I don't know about him, I'll give you a bunch of points!!

Answer:-I know when he made a funny speech at the banquet one year about having to wear the HANS device and he had it on underneath his jacket...I also know that he had a bad stomach flu once and was not expected to finish the race but he won and there was no post race interview, no thanks to my sponsor or anything, he headed straight for his trailer...I think he messed himself....
  • Question:-tony stewart?
i got these quotes off a columb by beau estes on nascar .com which is the funniest
tony would blame a bolt of lightning if it hit him
tony would blame the track for jumping up and making him loose
tony would blame the brew master for spilling his beer
tony would blame the finish line for not crossing him first
tony would blame the wall for not moving
tony would blame the blimp for taking air off his spoiler
tony would blame nascar for putting all the other cars on the track

these are priceless which one is your favorite
please address all negative comments to

    beau estes at nascar .com

these arent my quotes i just thought they were funny and decided to share them

Answer:-Your being to hard on Tony, thats what you have to do to get the checker on the last lap anything goes...........Oh wait there was 146 left

Been an Edwards fan ever since he spun Mr. Perfect as he was coming into the pits
  • Question:-Do you think Tony Stewart did good in his first season with his new organization?
Just think ! If Tonys performances were just average results in his first year with his new organization, and he improves in his second season, (because you just do). Do you think
Tony Stewart could finish even higher in the points standings in 2010, than he did in 2009?
For all the Tony Stewart fans, that's could be a pretty exciting pattern forming.

Answer:-He proved many wrong. Good for him. And for those who think Hendrick cars made it possible, keep this in mind: Haas CNC racing was already using Hendrick cars and support long before Tony came into the picture.
  • Question:-Why do you think Tony Stewart is so good this season?
Is Tony going to become the "09 Cup Champion? I thought he was just being cool and running up front just to make the chase. But he's our points leader, and he seems flawless. Is Jimmie Johnson going to have his competition handed to him in the chase. I think we still need to factor in Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards, but Tony Stewart is just running so incredibly strong. Scary strong. Why do you think Tony Stewart is so good this season?

Answer:-I think Tony has the drive to put all the naysayers in the shut up room. He's shoving it in the face of all the people who said that his career was over when he switched to Toyota's. He was never comfortable in Toyota's.

I think Tony has a great chance at being the 2009 champ.
  • Question:-How many races will Tony Stewart win in the chase this year?
Tony Stewart is one of the best drivers in NASCAR and he doesn't back down to anyone. With as much skill as he has how many races will he win as he battles for his third championship?

    Answer:-2 at the most
  • Question:-Why did Tony Stewart move all over the track in the last few laps?
Tony Stewart just doesn't have the teamwork with his partner as Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon have. Right at the end of the race, after running so hard up front, Tony lost his position. He was high on the track and went low to block Jimmy Johnson from passing, then when he went to the top of the track he got burried to the 7th position. It seems like Tony chokes right at the end of the race. What is he doing at the end of the race that keeps him from winning?

Answer:-Tony should have been immediatley black flagged for aggressive driving. Im sure all you people will give me a negative response but Tony was blocking and you CANNOT move your car back and forth so violently between lanes. He could have caused a major major accident. His stupidity got in the way and cost him a chance at a win. If you know anything about NASCAR, he was doing what SR did when he got killed. Its a silly move to make and a dangerous one at that.
  • Question:-Who was it that Tony Stewart ran far down below the yellow line in a race?
I remember Tony Stewart aggressively ran somebody down below the yellow line into the grass. Anybody remember who it was?
Okay, maybe it wasn't Tony Stewart. None of these were the one I was looking for. Whoever it was intentionally took a sharp left turn and ran somebody into the grass. I think he also got black flagged.

Answer:-who has'nt he run down the yellow line should be the question.
  • Question:-What do you think of a Ford lover being a Tony Stewart fan?
My buddy is a rabid Ford lover/driver, but his favorite NASCAR driver is Tony Stewart. He says he picks drivers according to their driving style and personality, not what make of car they drive. What do you guys think about this? Weird or not so unusual?

Answer:-You could actually be talking about me. I love Fords, have owned several Mustangs over the years, and enjoy them for their history and the ability to make them more personal nowdays with all the aftermarket parts available to them, but when it comes to my racing. I grew to prefer Tony stewart, my favorite driver becuase he represented the closest thing there is to old school drivers. He is not politically correct, easily gets ticked off, and can race anything, raced a few years in open wheels and Indy cars, and reminds me more of Foyt/Andretti.

So there are various reasons as to why someone pics a favored driver. My love of ponycars shoul dmake me want to pul for Roush because he builds his own line of Mustangs, but I pull for Stewart all the time!
  • Question:-If Tony Stewart does better late in the season, will he win a Cup Championship?
everybody is always saying Tony Stewart does better later in the season, and he's running scary strong now. If he actually does do better later in the season, do you think he will take a Cup Championship?

Answer:-I think his crew chief is pretty good so yes. He was the crew chief that was helping Tony Eury Jr last year with Dale Jr when Tony and Dale first came to HMS. While he was there Dale did good. Also so when he left Dale started struggling.

So yes Tony Stewart stands a good chance of winning a championship. He's already running better than I expected. It appears he has a good crew chief.
  • Question:-What kind of dresses does Tony Stewart wear?
Tony Stewart is the biggest crybaby in Redneck Car hands down. Does he wear the Jaclyn Smith dress collection from K-Mart? Is he gay like Dale Earnhardt Sr.? The women around him are fronts.

Answer:-No, Tony Stewart does not wear dresses.

hurricane tracking

  • Question:-Should we slash Hurricane tracking and warning from the discretionary part of the federal budget?
Hey cons, it is discretionary spending, must be government waste, right?

Answer:-ummmmm...mr lemming, apparently you missed your 0bamessiah piously babbling about the eeeeevils of 'false choices'; or is that a concept, much like 'tolerance' and 'civil discourse', that does not apply to the Left?

  • Question:-How has hurricane tracking differed in NC from the 1990's to today?

Answer:-The early 90s was like 20 years ago and I have seen the changes in accuracy and it is astounding. Even the number of models have increased exponentially. Better understanding of steering currents, El Nino, La Nina and other oscillation patterns help us a lot too. However sometimes these steering currents become hard to pick out. One way of mitigating a lack of a coherent steering pattern is looking at pressure falls, particularly at like 500mb. Think of these height falls as a ball rolling down hill. The storms go the path of least resistance. They will steer towards lower pressure and invariably away from higher pressure.

Most systems will either turn towards Bermuda as they approach Florida or the Caribbean or they will go south of Florida, in between the Florida Straights and Cuba and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Knowing where fronts and areas of low pressure helps but like I said before, even lower pressure in the upper atmosphere gives us a better understanding of where they may go.

So for the Carolina coastal region, they usually turn before they get to Florida or they go through the Gulf of Mexico and through the southeast USA. If they take the latter track they usually wash out and you get just rain.

Once a storm gets along the east coast the tendency is to go north and then northeast and away from land, unless there is something there to cause the storm to not turn as fast to the northeast.

Meteorologists need the big picture because even a low over the Ohio Valley can cause a storm to change direction.

A week out is still a huge guess but the guess becomes more educated each couple of years. Even those Florida storms of 2004-2005 give us good case studies to evaluate future events.
  • Question:-Do astronomers get involved with hurricane tracking and forecasting?

Answer:-I disagree with the previous two posters. Hurricanes are tracked and forecasting using modern technology: satellite maps and measurements. And to put satellites into orbit, you need an astronomer or physicist to do the calculations for launch. And you need them to maintain a proper orbit.

Plus, astronomers, as astronauts, can make observations of hurricanes from orbit. For example, astronauts on the ISS can make some measurements of cyclones.

I have to do a hurricane tracking chart for school on Gustav but I'm having trouble finding the coordinates. Which websites have them? I also need the miles per hour for each point. I need 10, 2 for each day.

Answer:-Here is the track of Gustav.

Hope your school assignment goes well.
  • Question:-Hurricane Tracking Chart?
I'm looking for a hurricane tracking chart. A blank one. I have to map three hurricanes and plot the points at which each level changes. I have one that my teacher gave me but once I got onto the black you couldn't see my writing so im looking for where the land areas are not black they are colored or white

    Answer:-
  • Question:-hurricane tracking tools?
what are used to track hurricanes?
what do people reduce the risks of an hurricane occuring?

    helpp meeeeeeeeee =[

    Answer:-Hurricane tracking tools: Computer
What are used to track hurricanes:
Dropsondes, buoy data, Satellites, nearby ships, hurricane hunter aircrafts....
Reduce the risk of hurricanes occurring: nothing... PPL can't don't much to reduce the risk of occurrence... But they can reduce the risk of damage done on their property, by placing shutters, and bringing in lawn furniture.
  • Question:-How do you track hurricane remnants?
I want to know how to track the remnants of hurricanes--not the hurricane itself. Like with Ike, where is that system now? Northern Europe? Asia?

Answer:-Most of them will fall apart after they hit land and try and go over it. Ike was more of a straight mover, and not at an angle, so when "he" hit landfall, it became harder for the hurricane to stay together. Usually if one does cross an ocean or a small land area (like in central america) and go into another body of water/ocean they will rename the hurricane. Where Ike hit at in TX made it very difficult for that hurricane to cross land.

If they move at an angle, they can hit land, but not directly, and still keep their momentum and keep going along the coast, like the ones that have been known to go up the whole east coast, it's because the coast line is at an angle, and if the hurricane is moving at an angle, it is very likely to hit all the coastline cities without being stopped because there is no major land mass is stopping it.
  • Question:-Hurricane Tracking Cone?
What does it mean if you are in a hurricanes cone?

Answer:-It means that the hurricane can actually hit you.. by changing its path or the size of the storm can reach out..

    Good Luck.

  • Question:-The To Tell The Truth episode with Loretta Lynn and her husband?
I saw somewhere that in 1968 Loretta Lynn was on To Tell The Truth, and that her husband Doo was in the contest where the panelists were trying to determine who the real Mooney Lynn was. Does anyone have this, or is there a way of watching it online?

Answer:-The 1968 CBS daytime TTTT episode in question does exist (and has been shown on GSN in the past); that clip is on YouTube.
  • Question:-Does anyone have the Lifetime's Intimate Portrait biography of Loretta Lynn?
I saw that years ago, and it is the best Loretta Lynn biography out there. I'd love to have a copy.

Answer:-Unfortunately I don't, but I agree with you it was great. Occasionally Lifetime or A&E airs them around 4am, so keep check on your tv listings. Sorry I couldn't be of more help
  • Question:-How is Loretta Lynn a better songwriter than Dolly?
I mean no direspect to Loretta, because she has written some great songs, but she just hasn't written anywhere near close to Doly. Dolly has written way more songs. Dolly has also written several classic, like I Will Always Love You, Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene, which have been covered numerous times.

Answer:-I respect and like them both for writing their own stuff
  • Question:-Why is Loretta Lynn so good, but all other female country singers suck?
Dolly, Reba, Tammy, etc... all are just plain awful. Loretta is a far better and songwriter than them all put together.

Answer:-Loretta's voice is real. It's not contrived with a fake southern accent (sophisticates made fun of her rhyming "hard" and "tired" in "Coal Miner's Daughter," but that's the way she talks and sings) and it certainly isn't fixed with a computer! Honestly, however, her voice is as much an acquired taste as Dolly's (which I do have a taste for), Tammy's (ditto), or Reba's (which I do not have a taste for).

BTW, I notice you didn't DARE put Loretta's favorite singer, Patsy Cline, in the "suck" category. Smart move on your part.
  • Question:-How often does Loretta Lynn come to California?
I live in Sacramento and I saw on her website that she is going to be in Oregon next month. I know that Oregon is one state away from me but the California-Oregon line is about 400 miles from where I live and then I'd have to go another 250 into Oregon after I cross over so I can't really do that. She is my favorite female country singer and 2nd favorite overall and I'd really like to see her live sometime.

    Answer:-once a year,, for a show~~~
  • Question:-Is Loretta Lynn the only female country singer in history that wrote her own songs?
She wrote probably about 75% of her own material. No other female country singer have written as much as 50%.

Answer:-You forget about Dolly Parton. She has written all or most of her music also.
  • Question:-Who is a better singer and songwriter: Dolly Parton or Loretta Lynn?
I really like both of them. Dolly is my all time fave, but I do like Tammy very much too. My 2 favorite songs from them are "I Will Always Love You" and "Coat of Many Colors" (Dolly) and "Coal Miner's Daughter" and "You Ain't Woman Enough" (Loretta).

So, who is the better singer, who is the better songwriter, and what are your favorite songs of both?

Answer:-Loretta Lynn - You Ain't Woman Enough (to take my man)
