  even if you don't like brett favre, you gotta respect the man. yeah, he's got a lot of INT, but he's also got a lot of TDs. when you think green bay packers, you think brett favre, not vince lombardi or bart starr. the guy is one of the toughest to ever play the game. he's left a strong and lasting legacy. where would you rank him among the all time greats? and should he be a first ballot hall of famer?
  
  Answer:-Lots of people still think of Lombardi when they think of the Packers. Lombardi's Packer legacy leaves Farve's in the dust. Of course, one would need a good history book to know that, ESPN doesn't talk about Lombardi.
  
  Farve is over-rated, but only because he's been called the greatest QB of all time, which he isn't. He is a great, great QB however, and he will be a first ballot HOF'er. The football HOF has screwed a lot of players in terms of the amount of time it took some of them to get in, but I think that Farve will be voted in as soon as he becomes eligible for the honor.
  
  In terms of where I'd rank him among the all time greats, I would put Montana, Unitas, Bradshaw, Staubach, Marino, Brady and Elway ahead of him, at least...there might be a couple that I fogot about, but not too many that I missed.
  
  Farve deserves a lot of credit for his streak as well. Most 'streak' records really don't mean anything, and maybe this one doesn't either, but I still have to respect the fact that he went out there for 250+ games in a row (including playoff games) ...even if he does only play once a week LOL

  In terms of QBs who won only one championship as a starter, Farve is probably as good or better than any of them. He's certainly better than the one-year QB wonders (i.e. one-time Super Bowl winners) of the last 20 years or so... Thinking about other QB's who won one championship as a starter (during the Super Bowl era), the best of them include Joe Namath, Ken Stabler, Joe Theissman and Len Dawson. I'm inclined to think that Farve is better than any of them.

I think you are over-thinking Favre's impact on the Vikings team.

  Lowell is hot right now, and has a decent history for putting up good fantsy numbers, but Braun is predicted to one day be a top-10 guy. If he shows any of that this year, (and he already has with a HR and 2 SB in his first few games) he'll be more valuable to you. He's got 5 catagory impact potential.

  Answer:-I would say it depends on your other rosters. Braun can provide you bit more in power categories while Sizemore can provide more runs and SBs. But in general, I would choose Sizemore over Braun. If you look at their 2008 statics, their numbers are almost identical when it comes to hits (170/174) and Ks (129/130). What Sizemore has over Braun is hard to come by. Power hitter with great speed. Sizemore is more of well rounded athlete and he had a bad season privously. In my opinion, Sizemore second most well rounded player right beneath Hanley Ramirez.

  In a total points fantasy league, would you trade Lincecum straight up for Hanley Ramirez or Ryan Braun? It's a keeper league as well.

I love Braun, I would draft him higher in a draft... but Lincecum is a stud, and in points leagues SP are more valuable than OF because it's easier to find a OF who can give you points. In a roto league, you might make the deal... in a points league, you can't.
  
  However... if your SS is weak (say, you're starting Aybar, Scutero, etc), then yes, I would move Lincecum for Ramirez. SS is a much harder position to find points scorers at than OF, and Hanley is hands-down the best option at SS. You could make a major upgrade in points by making the deal.
  
  However... if your SP is weak, I wouldn't make either deal. As I said... SP is a very important position in points leagues, especially if you deal with negative points.   Answer:-Kemp struggled down the stretch and during his brief career has not fared well in the usual "cleanup" spots...At this point it's probably a mental thing, but when he's in the traditional "power" spots (3, 4 & 5) Kemp tends to over-swing and loses his plate discipline.
  
  Statistically, the #2 spot sees the most fastballs because a) it makes it more difficult for the leadoff man to steal after he gets on and b) because the pitcher doesn't want to walk the #2 guy in front of the 3 & 4 hitters. Because of this, the #2 slot is an ideal place to put a good fastball hitter who has been struggling.
  
  Tonight it worked perfectly. Furcal got on and with Ethier and Manny hitting behind him, Kemp expected the first pitch fastball. He got it and BOOM...2-run lead.

Torii Hunter is no even close to being as good as Matt Kemp. Torii is still a great defender but Kemp is faster and has a way better arm. Not to say Torii sucks but Kemp is better. Its just Torii is getting older.

I would start Manningham until you see a reason not to, simply because of the big play potential.

  hines ward is definitely more valuable to the steelers, as he is the best blocking WR in the game. But fantasy wise, Muhammad, definitely. Ive always said that Roethlisberger can't put his team on his back and carry them to victory, and its really showing this year. Ward does not benefit from that. Rex Grossman has emerged as a great quarterback, finally free from his numerous injuries over the past 2 years. Muhammad was a stud in Carolina, and even with his age getting up there, he's still in a much better situation that Ward, making Muhsin Muhammad the better wideout.

  Answer:-It's tough b/c Hillis has done really well against better D's than what he faces this week, but I'd stick with Jackson as he is going against a very bad Lions D...Hillis is doing great but Atlanta could opt to focus on stopping him and letting Seneca try and throw the ball. And Hillis isn't a secret any more so teams will stack the box against him knowing the pass game is a work in progress

  Peyton Hillis didn't get much playing time last year in Denver because the Broncos' primary running backs were Correll Buckhalter and Knowshon Moreno. After Cleveland released Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn became expendable when the Browns signed Jake Delhomme. Josh McDaniels thinks Brady Quinn can start at QB for the Broncos. What do you think, football fans? Is this a good deal for either team?
  
  Answer:-Well in the Shanahan era, Hillis was an up and coming back. He has a lot of heart and is a downhill runner. However, in the McDaniels era (which hasn't proven to be any worse) he was under utilized and often in the "dog house" for costly fumbles and stupid penalties. A sixth round pick usually means nothing and a conditional pick could be even worse. So all Denver gave up was one legitimate player and two most likely future practice squad players. Cleveland on the other hand, didn't give up much either. Just like Hillis, Quinn is a talent, but under utilized. Quinn had minimal success in Cleveland only because he had such a short and tainted opportunity. After all he was injured throughout most of his time there. The Broncos see him as a possible asset and maybe even a future starter. At the very least a much more valuable backup than Chris Simms.
  I expect Hillis to have some success in Cleveland, he will no doubt get more touches than in Denver.
  Quinn, is not as easily predicted. He will never be Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but if he can be just a little bit better than Orton, than the Broncos will have a much better shot at the playoffs.
  This was a win-win trade. Low risk for Denver, could equal high reward. Trading away an unused player our of Cleveland in exchange for a sure player is good for the Browns too.

  I think the Browns need to give him a contract extension though. If they do not, not only will the entire Browns organization look like morons, but the Browns would have the worst run offense in the league. Montario Hardesty just doesn't cut it.
  
  Also, if they do trade Hillis next season, I would not go for any deal other than 1st round pick (s) or a 1st round pick and current players.

  Answer:-its basically a popularity contest just like most stuff. vick has his best year, which is still a pretty average year for most top 10 qbs in the league and all of a sudden hes a top 3 qb. i like hillis too, but in the last 5 games, he had no tds and lead the league in fumbles. but the browns should have won 6 or 7. they lost a game to the jets with 17 seconds left in ot on a 34 yard pass/run. and they didnt have a passing game either so he had to carry the load.

  Answer:-In my opinion... you are MUCH better off playing a RB in a flex spot over a WR. We have a flex in my league and I always play a RB. So this is an easy answer... Hillis. Aside from the fact he'll get EVERY goalline carry against a porous OAK D. (And he had 74 yds. and 2 scores last week against a 'tough' ATL D)

  Answer:-I'd go with Chambers. Housh has a tough matchup, and a QB that isn't living up to expectations. Muhammad just isn't in league with these two. Chambers has the best producing QB on his side, and he has a delicious match up going back to play at Miami for the first time since he was traded. Between all of this, I don't see anything against Chambers' value.

  Answer:-Well it's against KC so its a good match up for Harrison. He is a guy that can blow up huge when given the chance. We saw those numbers at the end of the season last year.... but until you know he gets the majority of the carries. Its kind of up in the air for now. Id start a Joseph Addai over him. Safer. but if you team is that good why not gamble for Harrison.

  Jerome Harrison just came off a monstrous week setting a record for third most yards in a game (284) and is facing oakland who gives up 149 rush yards on average per game. I have Thomas Jones on the other hand who is extremely consistent and has been money all year. My original plan was to start harrison all week but Ive been second guessing because he is really inconsistent and there is nothing that says he will get all the carries.

The Browns are a bad team who won't score very often and we aren't even sure if Jerome Harrison is the starter or not. Harrison is the bigger risk, but also probably has the bigger upside too.

The bears lost Wide receivers Bernard Berrian and Mushin Muhammad to free agency, so they will need someone to step up and fill the role.

He may not repeat Sunday's performance. But now Marshall is going to have Tyler Thigpen throwing to him. Could this be the QB he has hoping for ? I remember Thigpen being pass happy for KC.   Answer:-Definitely Brandon Lloyd. The Chargers may have been a passing issue for some teams but they haven't faced a team with the passing capabilities of the Broncos. Now that the Broncos have Knowshon Moreno healthy and playing well the passing game will just get better.

  Answer:-Maybe average at best. Brandon Lloyd was nothing special in Washington with the Redskins and Marty Booker is at best a possession receiver. The person the Bears really need is Mark Bradley, who has talent but hasn't shown anything so far in his career. Yes, substandard quarterback play and injuries have played a role in Bradley's problems, but at some point you just have to step up or step aside. Rashied Davis is a #4 receiver at best and a good special teamer. Hester can be very good-not great, but very good if he can learn all the routes in the tree. Devin could still be ok if all he does is run a fly pattern every now and then.
