  Answer:-January is one of our top rainy months. You are looking at highs of 55-63 and lows around 41-50. There can be some really cold temps if we get freaky weather. I've scraped ice off of my windshield when living right along Mission Bay.

  February is usually the wettest month of the year. Temps are like January.
  
  March is weird. It's a transition month like October is. Very unpredictable weather conditions.   Answer:-The climate of La Jolla California - near San Diego is heavily moderated by the cool Pacific Ocean just to the west. Normal yearly rainfall is only 10 inches, but from April until October, normally there is no rain at all. The sun is out over 70% of the time, but we do have the May Gray June Gloom - which in the mornings is a low deck of clouds, which burns off in the late morning hours.
  Normal highs are in the 60's in January, which is the wettest month of the year, averaging 2 inches.
  Snowfall is as frequent here as it is in Miami - both have seen snow once. The last measurable snow in La Jolla was in 1949, and it was well under an inch. Temperatures rarely go below 40 in the winter, and the last time it went below freezing was over 20 years ago.
  In the summer, it is always sunny, and it never rains - our record rainfall for July is like .2 of an inch.
  Normal highs are in the 70's on the coast, but rapidly rise into the 90's and 100's just a few miles inland.
  Temperatures, with an east wind can reach 100 degrees even on the water, with the Santa Ana winds, but this is a rare occassion. However, there will be several days every year - usually in late summer when you will have a few abnormally hot days in the mid 90's or higher even on the water.

  I live in a VERY nice complex, and we pay $1600 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit. There are one bedroom units down the street from us that are going for about $900. We live in Point Loma.
  
  If you go south to Chula Vista (the East & West sides are not that horrible -- having lived there I know), you can find decent places for about $1000, and if you head south to Imperial Beach you can find fairly priced places as well (I've lived there too...used to pay $600 for a 2 BR 1 Bath about 7 years ago -- although I'm sure the rents have gone up considerably since then).
  
  It will also depend on where you plan to work and how much commuting you want to do. Gas is a bit more expensive out here, and 20 miles doesn't seem like much to commute, but when you're crawling along at 10 mph it can take a LONG time to get to/from work. So you have to decide whether you want to commute & spend 1/3 of your life in traffic, or pay a bit more for rent.

Chance of rain increases and you could get a storm coming in from the north with cold winds. The seasons change here like a light switch. There will be a change in weather patterns and one day it's summer, the next it's fall-winter. This usually happens in November.
  
  San Diego is a great vacation spot: best Zoo in the world, the Wild Animal Park, dozens of museums in Balboa Park, Shedd Aquarium, Sea World, La Jolla, beaches, surfing, sailing, casinos, NFL Football. ML Baseball, etc. You are also close to Disneyland and L.A. Be aware that the ocean temperature is never warm here, It is a northern current and even in the summer, it almost never breaks 70 degrees.

  In Denver you have to be prepared and dress in layers cause the weather can change in 5 minutes from one extreme to another - regardless of the season or time of year. It can be very cold in the morning, and very hot at night, and vice versa. We've had snow for Easter. We've had snow on Memorial Day weekend (for real!). We've had hot spells in January where it was 70 degrees Farenheit. So the weather in Denver is usually unpredictable! Being in the mile high city also means that a few inches of snow will melt over the course of a day and be gone the next day - and it also means we can get an unexpected blizzard and have most of the city shut down. May is usually a rainy month here, but we did start the month with snow after a few days of 75 degree F weather.

According to any of the studies that have been done around the globe, most people use 1% more energy in the evening than in the morning. While 1% doesn't seem like much, collectively the savings amounts to quite a bit. That's the rational behind the extension. But I'm with you.   Answer:-Odds are you'll have great weather. The days will be warm and sunny and the nights cool. So pack so you can layer your cloths.
  Tip, the sun is strong and the air dry, unless you're real tanned, wear sun screen and drink plenty of water.

  Answer:-The greatest risks in the Denver area are high winds, which tend to occur in the winter/early springtime, periodic heavy snows/blizzards, hailstorms in the spring/early summer, flash flooding primarily in the mid to late summer, and tornadoes, though those tend to be relatively weak and short-lived.
• Question:-What is the weather like in Denver, Boston, Seattle, and Dallas? For example in winter its just cool.?
  I have to answer stuff about these cities in French, but nobody knows what the weather is like in these places. For eample Denver in spring is hot. Or Boston has really bad snow storms in the winter. Oh and I need spinng, summer, automn(fall), and winter for each city. Thanks!!!!!
  
  Answer:-Here's your Denver answer, use what you can of it, and do the french translation since I can only remember a few simple words and phrases.
  
  In Denver you have to be prepared and dress in layers cause the weather can change in 5 minutes from one extreme to another - regardless of the season or time of year. It can be very cold in the morning, and very hot at night, and vice versa. We've had snow for Easter. We've had snow on Memorial Day weekend (for real!). We've had hot spells in January where it was 70 degrees Farenheit. So the weather in Denver is usually unpredictable! Being in the mile high city also means that a few inches of snow will melt over the course of a day and be gone the next day - and it also means we can get an unexpected blizzard and have most of the city shut down. May is usually a rainy month here, but we did start the month with snow after a few days of 75 degree F weather.

  Answer:-Generally it is a toss up in Denver - some days in winter, fall, and spring will be chilly, some will be downright freezing, some you won't need a jacket - spring and fall are really funny, one day you are in short sleeves, the next a coat and gloves, then 2 days later, back to the short sleeves - nights between November and April are generally cold.
  Summer you can get beautiful days in the 80's or 20 days straight over 100. It's so hard to say here - they always give you a percentage of what the chance of having a cold or hot or rainy day - not a real forecast.

• Question:-How long does it take for collegeboard to send scores to colleges?
  I took the SAT test in may and decided to send my scores this october. I sent my scores to the University of Utah on October 20th. Collegeboard notified me that they sent my scores on october 22nd. The University of Utah has an application tracking system that tells me what i still need to finish. I have done everything that is required, but it still says that my SATs are still needed. It is now November 10th and they still say that they haven't gotten it. Could this be that they don't update their tracking system often or is this normal. Thanks

  I am taking the SAT on October 4th. According to collegeboard, they will have the scores online on October 23rd. The deadline for Hofstra university's early action is November 1st. Will Collegeboard send my scores by the deadline?
  
  Answer:-I know, I am worried about that too. One of my deadlines is november 1st also. I think we'll be fine because on the applications you need to just type in your scores (which we'll be able to do because we'll see them online) and then the scores become validated once they receive it from college board. As long as your application is in by nov 1 and you told college board to send it (or you can register Hofstra as one of the 4 colleges they let you send to and it will be sent out 1-2 weeks from October 23) you should be fine. Go class of 2009!!!

  I'm pretty sure I sent them all in, but some of my colleges are saying that they are missing. Can I check how many I've sent and to which colleges from CollegeBoard?

  Answer:-No, universities have an agreement with collegeboard, since its non-profit. They will accept the scores only from the website.

  Answer:-From what I understand, you can submit just the scores that you want to. However, I believe it is better to submit all your scores because a college would rather see that you've taken the SAT multiple times than just see your highest score. That's my understanding of the matter. Correct me if I'm wrong, people.
• Question:-Can i start looking for scholarships on Collegeboard as a Junior?
  I am going to be a junior next year (after this summer), and i was wondering when i should start looking for scholarships. On collegeboard.com i found about 100 scholarships that fit my interests. I selected that i was a junior in my educational status. Should i wait a bit longer? Or should i start searching?
  
  Answer:-Actually now's probably the best time to start looking for scholarships. Not only are there a lot that only juniors are eligible for, but you'll have a lot more time now than your senior year. The only thing is, hopefully you already know where you're going to college and approximately what you're studying, because usually scholarship applications require that kind of information.

  Answer:-You can either have your college adviser do it or you can directly contact the college board (go to website and call number and e-mail them) and they will do the best they can do.

• Question:-What would you do if the CollegeBoard lost part of your AP Exam?
  I took an AP World Exam last May. The CollegeBoard mailed me a letter saying they had lost the Multiple choice part of my exam. They have me three options. One of them is to have a projected grade. My other two options are to retake the Multiple choice or simply cancel the entire thing.
  
  I definitely don't want to cancel. I'm considering retaking it, but I don't know when I would retake it. If I have to wait until May 2008, I'm pretty sure I won't remember everything and I'm won't have time to study for another AP exam (I plan to take six next year, another one will only stress me out more). However I'm afraid the projected grade will hurt me and some colleges will not accept projected grades.
  
  Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  
  Answer:-You would not have to retake the multiple choice in May 2008 if you chose to retake the MC section. You would retake it relatively soon. It might be worth it to call to find out exactly when, though. (I think that it's a good thing that you don't want to cancel. Then all that work is lost, right?) Unfortunately, even if you knew the material very well in May, it's very likely that you've forgotten a lot of it by now. You'd be the best judge of that. The projected score, however, may help you instead of hurt you. Again, you have to consider if you think you did well on the free responses. Weigh the two against each other, and consider which one would get you a higher score. Projecting is always the easier option, but if you really feel that doing that would hurt your grade...
