cnn debate

  • Question:-How many questions will CNN Wolf Blitzer ask Ron Paul in the next debate?
Will 'they' continue to ignore Ron Paul in the next CNN debate, despite his high poll numbers in NH, Iowa? Will they ask him 0, 1, 2 .... questions?

    Answer:-Wolf will ask..

"Why don't you just run as an independent?"

"What about your day job as a congressman?"

"Don't you think you'll be more useful serving your constituents than wasting valuable air time here at the debates?"

"Do you think Romney (the inevitable Republican nominee, let's not kid ourselves) can beat Obama?"
  • Question:-Do you think the debate/forum on CNN right now is largely a waste?
The only really interesting question was about prescription medication, but this is largely pointless. My favorite question asked so far: Why does God let bad things happen? what, seriously? What does that have to do with being President? My head hurts. Do people who are particularly religious find this important or interesting? It seems like a waste to me. What about you?

Sorry if this question seems similar, but my last one was unclear on what I wanted to know. I am talking about the CNN debate.

Answer:-I agree, Just once I would like to hear a hard hitting pertinent question. Also if the candidate dances around and never really answers, the question should be repeated until a meaningful answer is given. I am so tired of what my granddaughter calls jibberish.
Religion does not belong in any political forum.
  • Question:-Why are there no articles about the multiple Democrat plants in the CNN debate last night?
It would be huge news if Fox had planted questions from Republican campaigns in questions to Democrat candidates. Given that CNN planted multiple "gotcha" questions from a Clinton campaign member, several Obama supporters and an Edwards suppporter. Why are there no articles about this on Yahoo?
I know, but why isn't it on Yahoo? They are ignoring a huge story. Why?

Answer:-Turn on the news. It has been on.
  • Question:-What do you think of Gary Johnson being excluded from the June 13th CNN hosted debate presidential debate?
Despite equal or higher ratings in recent CNN polls compared to other candidates invited, Gary Johnson is has been excluded from the June 13, 2011 presidential debate hosted in part by CNN.
I know CNN already stated they wouldn't invite him, my question is asking for opinions/thoughts - not whether or not he'll be invited.

Answer:-CNN already stated he would not be invited. Might have something to do with him almost coming to tears during the Fox News debate because he didn't think he was getting enough questions. My source includes more of him crying.

    *edit*

Well my thoughts on it are...not to put too fine a point on it....good. Johnson will never even place 6th place in a primary. He is basically "Ron Paul lite" and I don't even want Ron Paul invited. There are way too many candidates that have a reasonable chance to hear from.
  • Question:-Do you want Mike Gravel to join Dennis Kucinich in the 15 NOV CNN DNC debate?
Mike Gravel must fight CNN & DNC to be in his own debate!
You can help if you want to.

If public outcry fails he will live stream via net the debate WITH his answers & statements. Uncensored.

YouTube vids are & will be available.

Answer:-I think he should, all possible, and declared candidates should have the opportunity to be heard.
  • Question:-where to Watch live CNN Democratic Debate in Texas from abroad on the Internet?
Is there any website that will put streaming video of the debate.
I live in Europe and CNN.com seems not working to me.

Please help if you know any good website; I don't want to miss it.

    Answer:-CNN.com live
  • Question:-What exactly is the uncommitted Ohio voters in CNN debate meter?
This may be stupid, but yeah I am just confused as to what exactly it is. Why is it Ohio? How is it working?

Answer:-They have a group of voters sitting in a studio watching the debate. They give them meters with dials they can turn up/down. That's what you see. Up is they agree with the speaker, down if they don't.
  • Question:-How many of you watched CNN for the debate because they post the original question on the screen?
I have two toddlers and get easily distracted and politicians...well tend to go off subject many times.

While I would love to watch it on FOX, I choose to watch debates on CNN because they post the questions on the screen. Who else also watches for this reason?

Answer:-I watched CNN because Fox is conservative and MSNBC is liberal. I feel CNN gives the most balanced perspective.
  • Question:-Why is CNN showing democratic debate during Super Bowl?
I turned the channel on my cable tv to see what CNN was up to and they are showing debate, How is this gong to be helping either candidate since mass Majority of people are watching the Super Bowl?
Of course, it was a rerun.
Of course, it was a rerun.

Answer:-Really....I love politics, but the Super Bowl is great,,,,,wait, Giants fumble the kickoff...Let me watch the debate.....
  • Question:-Why was the Republican debate on CNN?
I don't even get Certainly Not News on my TV. With a total viewership of ten people isn't having a debate on CNN lessening its importance or was that the idea?

Answer:-Republicans are stupid and are self-destructive. I'm a staunch Republican and I'm sick of their weakness. The "good ole boys" network is almost over for both the Democrats and Republicans. If the Republicans don't grow some balls, they will end up the third party and the Tea Party will take over.

republican debate

  • Question:-republican debate?
when is the republican debate? did i miss it?

Answer:-There are numerous debates. Last week, there was a "Value Voters" debate (which didn't include the boring microphone hogs that the media laughingly calls "top-tier candidates") in which Ron Paul referred to Jesus as the "Prince of Peace," called for the US to leave the UN and all other Globalist organizations, and refused to support certain unconstitutional parts of the Christian Right's agenda. The other "2nd tier" candidates pandered to the Christian Right.
  • Question:-....Republican Debate?
Is there any way I can re watch the republican debate (9/7/11) again online? I couldn't watch it because I had football.

Answer:-It's on YouTube (of course! Where else?)

It's in four parts. This is the first part.

  • Question:-How has the Republican Debate been significant to Australia, shaping the nation's history?
I found this question to be very confusing and I would love some help. The whole question is "How has the Republican Debate been significant to Australia, shaping the nation's history? Will it continue to influence the history of Australia?"

I think the desired answer might be something like:

The republican debate has been significant to Australia, dominating politics, causing a referendum......etc. It will likely continue to shape the nation into the future as the debate has not been settled yet.

    Please help me.

Answer:-You asked the question and you are confused by your own question?

Republicanism in Australia has been around since the Irish were brought here in ball and chain during the first fleet in 1788.

The issue of Republicanism will never die out whilst there are Irish catholics living and breathing in Australia.

The catholics are all republicans after all a Roman Caesar is the head of the Papist church and not a Papist leader in Jerusalem where you'd really think that the son of man, the saviour Christ, ought to have his manifested prophet as the Pope as resident in on Earth, and not in the Vatican City, within Italy.

Only a Roman Emperor would live in the Vatican City.

As for Anglo-Saxon Protestants well, the head of the commonwealth is the British monarch, an ex-communicated monarch with her own head of the church being the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Church of England.

The denial of Catholics as being a head of an anglo-saxon nation within the commonwealth of nations has been predetermined since the Ascension edict of 1701 during the reign of Queen Anne. Her edict will deny forever a papist from ascension into Buckingham Palace. The Hanoverian monarchs have irrefutably denied all former Norman monarchs, mainly Papist as well, from ascension into the British royal families.

The desire for Australians to become a republic is as difficult to articulate to mainly WASPish majority living in Australia. People are too well entrenched with traditions and history.

The greatest threat to mainly WASPS, and protestant Pacific Islanders, is the fear of Filipino Catholics in the region. There is over 80 million catholics in South East Asia, this is frightening for Protestants in Australia and everywhere in Oceania. There is a great number of Philipines migrating into Australia per annum supported by the Catholic church which is so frightening for all Australians.
  • Question:-Why did the Republican front runners decline to participate in debate?
Covenant with Black America moderated by Tavis Smiley, had a Democratic debate with ALL of the Democratic nominees, televised on June 28 at Howard University. YES they all showed up and I heard their position and plans for many issues surrounding hard working Americans. However, The Republican debate is set for September 27 at Morgan State University and these alleged front runners have declined to participate: Rudy Guiliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney & Fred Thompson.
This is ONE more reason for Republicans NOT to get my VOTE....they are not concerned with the issues involving not just African Americans, but People of Color in general and the hard working people who carry this country. Do Republicans believe they can continute to ignore the People and push their own agendas - and we won't push back? Any intelligent comments out there?
The only way for Republicans & Democrats to HEAR the PEOPLE is to address those who can't afford to pay $1000 per plate fund raisers. It appears Covenany with Black America is the only venue I've seen offering debates for both parties to address issues surrounding the common American. I'm not making this a race thing - you assume I am - I can but won't go there......so have you seen any Republicans speak to a predominately black, hispanic, native american or asian crowd? Even in the media? I haven't seen any other scheduled debates (Fox or otherwise) that was turned down by either party so if you know of any, please advise and I will definitely check it out.....Oh wait - our Hispanic community tried to organize a debate and got no response so they cancelled. Any others?

Answer:-Maybe those Republicans don't feel that everything has to be turned into a race issue.

edit: why did Obama being one of the Democrats front runners decline their recent debate in Iowa....along with others. Was it because of the mostly White elderly crowd.
  • Question:-Where is the exact location for the September 22 Republican debate?
The Republican presidential candidates are supposed to be coming to Orlando, Florida on Thursday, September 22 to have another debate. I've searched everywhere, and can't find an exact address for it, because I would like to go.

So, where is it, what time does it start, and how could I get in to see it in person?

    Thanks.

    Answer:-Orange County Convention Center
  • Question:-Would you rather watch the Republican debate or a rerun episode of Family Guy?
I remember when republican Gov. Snyder here in Michigan would only have a debate in the daytime when most are at work. But I guess the Republican base the retired can`t stay up until 7pm.

Answer:-I hate Family Guy. American Dad is even worse.

    I'll watch the GOP debates.
  • Question:-Fellow Democrats: are you also itching to see the Republican nominee face Obama in a debate?
I saw that Republican debate the other night and there was no one on that stage who could go toe to toe with Obama. When you take a Conservatwit out of their cocoon and force them to face the glaring lights of reality they crumple like paper dolls.

Which of the Republican candidates from the other night do you think would humiliate themselves most blatantly in a debate with Obama?

    Answer:-That'd be sweet.
  • Question:-What was the republican debate about?
What happened in the republican debate in Las Vegas last night? Who did it involve? What were topics of discussion? What happened?

Answer:-Maybe about who can make themselves the most un-electable in the general election.

Keep in mind that Obama care is approved of by more than 50% of Americans, they're falling all over themselves to say they'll repeal it.

Keep in mind that people aren't buying stuff, they're falling all over themselves saying that the rich need more tax cuts to create jobs, to build stuff, that people aren't buying.

The tea party wants to nominate the candidate that is least acceptable to independents in the general election.
  • Question:-Republican DEBATE?
I'm Canadian, but as you know we are greatly interested in who becomes the next President. I have to say, I was completely disappointed with Mitt Romney. Very Unpresidential behaviour, acting defensive, and getting upset...I suppose Huckabee in an Andy Griffith sort of way would make a Great President if this was 1955 or something..
Mccain seems like a friggin psyco. The two candidates on the ends obviously aren't in the running. Fred Thompson seems like the same guy as he does on TV. Juliani is too short to be President. That leaves Ron Paul.

its very odd that when the Dems were having their debate, everyone was cheering like crazy when the candidates were saying they will bring the troops home, yet when he suggested it, he was booed, and Mccain compared him to Hitler!!!!

Answer:-Here is how I ranked them.

1.Mike Huckabee - witty, well-prepared, and compassionate and would unite us! He is the man for the job! Death penalty skate, but I understand why!
2.John McCain - affirmed that he is the a well respected veteran and would Lead well.
3.Mitt Romney - bickering with Rudy made him look petty; comments on torture made him seem wise and made McCain seem cold and on the attack! Comments on Confederate flag non-issue.
4.Ron Paul - didn't respond well to McCain's attacks; rant about North American Union conspiracy made him seem too extreme.
5.Duncan Hunter – Faired well, not much time, but all answers were good! He would be a great VEEP to Huckabee!
6.Tom Tancredo – Good on one issue: Immigration, but he ranks high on my candidate calculator, so candidate for VEEP too!
7.Fred Thompson - not heard from very much, seemed poorly prepared and confused. Not very articulate and disappointing. Sounded like he was trying out for VEEP.
8.Rudy Giuliani - bickering with Romney made him look petty, if I have to listen to his stats about NY one more time, I will PUKE!

    VOTE TO KEEP AMERICA SAFE!
  • Question:-Is it right that my husband didn't let our sons have bathroom breaks during the Republican Debate?
Tonight was the Republican debate on Fox News and my husband thinks it's so important that no one is allowed to leave the room during it. For any reason, even the bathroom. Our son who is twelve years old apparently didn't empty his bladder beforehand. He squirmed and asked for permission, but there were rules in place. He ended up wetting his jeans. Fortunately the couch has plastic covers. Do you think my husband is right? Is more important than bathroom?

Answer:-Wow...you really DIDN'T grow up, did you?

marco rubio

  • Question:-Is the tension between Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist in Florida only the beginning of the Republicans' doom?
The Republican vote is going to be split in 2010 between the radical conservatives (like Marco Rubio and the tea baggers) and the moderate conservatives (like Charlie Crist and independents). The Democrats might end up gaining even more seats, wow...

Answer:-Tension in YOUR MIND. People in the know realize that Rubio will win. Charlie just tarnished his own reputation today.
  • Question:-Marco Rubio for Vice President to secure Hispanic Votes?
Since now the Democrats are pushing for passing "The Dream Act" and "Amnesty" to pull Hispanic votes in 2012 for Obama should the Republicans be smart and put Marco Rubio as Vice President on the 2012 ticket along with whoever is nominated to run for President? Not to mention that Marco Rubio is a great candidate he has great views and ideals. What do you all think?

Answer:-I believe he would be as good a choice as there is. He seems to be authentic and well versed in history and politics not to mention that he is a skilled orator.
  • Question:-What do U think of the similarity between Michael Dukakis' immigrant story and Marco Rubio's immigrant story?
The Republican Florida Senator, Marco Rubio always tells the story of his immigrant parents and how America should be great, and how we should preserve that. That's exactly the same tactic Michael Duakis used in 1988. What do you think of this? Do you think it's a good tactic to use on a campaign?

Answer:-Rubio story is more compelling. I shared his immigrant background in relation with fleeing from communist oppression. Also, Rubio was able to sell his story and Dukakis "can't."
  • Question:-Will Republicans Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindal need to show Birth Certificates to the Birthers?
After all Obama showed his. The Birthers are now protesting the Republicans, Jindal whom they say was born in India and Marco Rubio whose recent lies about his past highlight their demands to see his Birth Certificate.

Is it only fitting that they comply?

    Answer:-YES

RUBIO IS A FAKE and a ILLEGAL ALIEN that BROKE VOTING LAWS
    ILLEGALS CANT RUN FOR OFFICE

and left CUBA with no birth certificate or pass port from CASTRO

they left cuba before CASTRO came to power
  • Question:-Making a campaign sign promoting Charlie Crist or Marco Rubio...any clever wordplay ideas on the names?
They are two candidates running for Florida Senate and I can't think of any good ideas!
    i.e. Marco Rubio is Coolio.

Answer:-Vote for Crist or go to hell. :D it's a play on Christ=Crist!

EDIT: for the record these aren't serious :)
"Vote for Marco at the poll-os" HUH? HUH!? :D
  • Question:-Could Marco Rubio be the new face of the Republican party?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Rubio

Smart, articulate, fluent in both Spanish and English.... and conservative.

He has the backing of the Hispanic population, and the majority of Americans, who overwhelmingly define themselves as conservative.

Marco Rubio for President in 2012? Or 2016?

Answer:-If it is possible, Rubio is to the right of Sarah Palin. The democrats will remain in power if the Republicans keep picking far right-wingers as their standard bearers.
  • Question:-If Marco Rubio Ran For President Of The United States ?
Do you think Marco Rubio would be able to win over 50% of the Hispanic vote ? Or do you think the majority of Hispanics would be turned off by him because of the fact that he is a Republican ? Since most Hispanics are also diehard Democrats just like African Americans.

Answer:-No. Hispanics that have been in this country many years are not democrats.

It's only the more recent immigrants that want to take advantage of the US that are democrats.

I live in Tampa and so do many Cubans.
  • Question:-What do you think about the tea party darling Marco Rubio protesting the Arizona law?
Even for a far left right winger the man still has love for his people http://thinkprogress.org/2010/04/27/marco-rubio-immigration/

Answer:-The Tea Party is not left wing - they are right wing extremists. Rubio is counting on the Cuban vote in Florida. If he were to do anything to discourage that voting block he would be toast.

So much for Tea Party strong stand on illegal immigration. Just another bunch of phonies.
  • Question:-Is Republican Marco Rubio a liar or were his Parents liars when they stated they were exiles?
They left before Castro was in power in fact two years earlier when almost no one had heard of Castro. Rubio's major political speeches and his whole persona are about his exile status which is based on lies. Rubio calls it family folklore or something to that effect. Is his entire candidacy based on a lie?

Answer:-Marco Rubio is a LIAR and he knows it . If you are going to use a story the least you could do is make it a real story . pathetic pandering and insulting to real refugees .
  • Question:-Was Marco Rubio an anchor baby if his parents were illegal immigrant?
Why did they really leave Cuba? They left 4 years before Cuba became Communist. They got their green cards in the 70's after Marco's birth?

Answer:-The came here legally. They got their green cards when they first came to the U.S. in the late 50s and became naturalized U.S. citizens in 1975. Get your facts straight.

  • Question:-Should Marco Rubio announce his run for the Presidency today, now having more experience than 0 at this stage?
With the expiration of the term of the 111th congress, Rubio now has as much if not more experience than 0 did at this time. Rubio was Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, which means he has more leadership experience than 0 ever did at this point, plus a longer legislative career.
But didn't 0 quit his senate seat to become TOTUS?
Rubio already has more experience than 0 at this point in his career.

Answer:-No... The liberals and the lib press will just call him a quitter, like palin.. Liberals are quite the hypocrites., According to them , Obama had more experience then anybody ever..
  • Question:-Could Marco Rubio be the the next Vice President?
I hear that Bachmann and Perry both might consider running with Mr. Rubio. Would he agree to run for Vice President? Would he make a good Vice President? Is Biden a good VP?

Answer:-Rubio would be a great VP pick. He can pick up the Hispanic vote which is dissatisfied with Obama, could win his home state of Florida (an important state in the electoral college), and also the Tea Partiers like Rubio. He is youthful too, so he would be a great pick overall.

I also think Paul Ryan would be a good pick. He is from Wisconsin, and has been in the middle of a lot of bills and legislation. I think Ryan would be a good pick for Bachmann in particular, because both are youthful, intelligent fighters.

Oh, but Rubio has said he is not interested in the VP nomination, and that he wants to focus on his family. But candidates say that a lot, and I also hear that GOP candidates have been nudging him toward becoming a VP candidate.

For your last question, I think Joe Biden is somewhat prone to gaffs, but I hear he is doing a lot for Obama and the Democrats when it comes to getting Democrats in the Senate together.
