• Question:-How does Ian MacKaye get that palm-muting sound on Margin Walker by Fugazi?
  I just saw a video of him playing it live, and he didn't seem to be using any pedals or effects.
  
  Answer:-It looks like he's just using harmonics. It's when you lightly prest on the strings and it makes a high pitched noise. If he is moving his hand up and down it can make it sort of sound like "Flange".

  I always see them compared, but I see no similarities!
  
  Answer:-The only similarity I can think of is how both bands started with more straight-forward albums and then gradually became more experimental with subsequent releases. On a personal note, I think both bands' best albums are their early stuff - not that the later releases aren't very listenable as well.

  Answer:-For me its Fugazi, they opened up a whole new world for me back in the day. The sheer energy and real punk ethos is a very admirable quality to find in a band these days. They are a band in the real sense of the word.

  that's the beauty of GWAR! have you ever seen the band? Believe it or not, they do put on one hell of a show...gotta love those costumes.Yes pantera etc. is good, but everybodys got room for GWAR in their heart. Dont take it so seriously, but they still are a great band that deserve credit.

  Went to the GWAR concert last night and hung out in the front the whole time. Was absolutely drenched with "blood" when the show was over and although I went home and shampooed twice, my bleached platinum blonde hair still has a pinkish tint to it.
  
  I imagine it is only food coloring and water, so if anyone has a cure-all for getting food coloring out ouf bleached hair, that would be fine!

  Answer:-Try a purifying shampoo. I recommend ABBA Molasses Purifier - it's as good (if not better) than more expensive brands like PureOlogy, and an 8oz bottle is only about $10, and lasts you a long time. Make sure to condition REALLY GOOD after using that product.

• Question:-I'll be going to a GWAR concert in a week. How do I wash the shirt afterwards without washing out the dye?
  Whatever they spray the audience with washes out almost perfectly. Any ideas on how I can keep the dye on the shirt even after throwing it in the machine? I heard baking/ironing the tee afterwards can help. Has anyone tried this?
  
  Answer:-The stuff they spray is mostly food coloring and water if you wanted to save the stains, you could soak/spray it in vinegar, until damp/wet and wrap it in plastic wrap and in a big kettle + steamer (like for veg) you could theoretically heat set, and it would stay.
• Question:-where can i find a Gwar hoodie?
  My boyfriend wants a Gwar hoodie for his b-day, but I'm having a really hard time finding one to fit him. He's thin but he's 6'6", so he has to have a XXXL in order for the sleaves to fit and the torso to be long enough. I've looked around online but havent had much luck.

  Answer:-WOOOOO! No way! Gwar is great and all but don't go on acid. Bad idea. I know someone who went on acid and he said it scared the crap out of him. He doesn't even do acid anymore because of that one time.

  Answer:-I've only got Karmacode by LC but I like Cristina's vocals better than Maria's. I was impressed be ITM's Beautiful Tragedy but as excitedly as I awaited The Dream, it never fulfilled my expectation.
  
  I've resisted getting Shallow Life so far after poor reviews. I will probably get it before too long but on what I've heard I'll say Beautiful Tragedy is better than Karmacode but The Dream was a step in the wrong direction, imho anyway.
  
  If you like female singers, have you heard Delain? I'm quite a fan of theirs. Venturia and Crystal Viper are quite good too. They're Dutch, French and Polish bands respectively btw.

  Answer:-"Comalies" and "Without fear" have the lyrics both in Italian and in English.
  There is another song called "Un fantasma tra noi" with an Italian title, but it's only instrumental.

  Answer:-I've only heard it once but I thought shallow life was good and wide awake. That's just from one time though. There were a couple of others that stuck out to me. I need to listen to it more. Great band!!!

  Answer:-Christina's voice is excellent. Lacuna Coil is one of my favorite bands so is a little difficult to choose 1 song. However, I did not fully liked the Shallow Life production (get excited after initially listening to Spellbound) and have been listening lately to Halestorm, In This Moment, Crucified Barbara, Within Temptation and Lullacry
