  Answer:-That's what people say, however last year I found that many stores started their Black Friday sales on-line on Thanksgiving! My mom and I were sitting around the computer after dinner and checking out where to go the next morning, and we noticed the sales had started at a few places then. We did tons of shopping and got the same sales as many people did at the stores, plus there are always discounts where you can get free shipping, or a coupon code for a percentage off. Plus, factor in the time of getting to the store and the crowds while you shop! So I would say keep your eyes on websites any time from Thursday until Monday. The sales should be great.

• Question:-How can I eliminate alternating dial tone and static in an added-on phone jack?
  I had a phone jack added in our house and the electrician who did other wiring for us a couple years ago ran a Cat-5 cable from the attic to the new phone jack The existing phone wiring in the attic is 4-wire and each wire is thicker than the wire in the Cat-5. I was unable to spice the wires together using compression splices because of the difference in wire sizes. So I cut into the existing wire in the attic, installed a phone jack there, and connected the Cat-5 to the phone jack.
  
  When using a phone off the new jack, I hear a dial tone and static alternating every few seconds (tone/static/tone/static), and the same is true when I plug the phone into the jack in the attic. The person on the other end can hear me fine without static, but I can barely hear the other person. The other phone jacks in the house work fine.
  
  We have DSL with a filter that's in the wiring that's plugged into another phone jack.

And yes, I agree that it's much safer to buy online if you want to avoid getting into a stampede at the stores and may even end up not getting what you want. You could start doing your research and comparison now on what you want to buy. If you know to look for a specific product, just go to Google and click on Shopping.   Answer:-Immediately before or immediately after Christmas. The prices start dropping for last-minute gift sales, and after the holiday, they have a lot of inventory to clear out. HP is always sending me emails about laptop bargains (I've owned a few over the years).
  
  If you're going retail (which I do not recommend), haggle. Consider the price in a store a suggestion. If they want to sell to you, they'll come down.

  This politician was obviously confused as to what the term meant and was taking it literally rather than as a racial slur. I think the underlying idea was that the legislation was sticky and nobody was going to want to be involved with it.
  
  However, "tar baby" has traditionally been a slang term for an African American child. The idea was that these babies had black skin, as though they'd been rolled in tar black tar. This was obviously a derogatory term and basically meant to imply the same thing about these kids that the politician was implying about the bill--that they were disgusting and unclean. Since Obama is our first black president and this bill was proposed by his party, of course people's minds immediately connected Obama with the tar baby comment and assume it was meant to refer to him.
  
  The use of this term is so weird I have to think it was some kind of Freudian slip, that there was some sort of unconscious racism happening here. But the politician did not actually call Obama or anybody else a tar baby--he called a piece of legislation that, and he obviously wasn't using in the sense of meaning an African American person.

  Answer:-It doesn't work that way. Some things get marked down a lot, some do not get marked down at all. There is no way to know if any store will mark down Call of Duty or how much they would mark it down.
• Question:-Will the purple 3DS before Black Friday 2011?
  I went to best buy, looking to see which DS i wanted, and the man was telling us about the 3DS. Then he said, "There might be a purple one coming out this year". He said he wasn't sure but I REALLY want to find out for my parents so they can pre-order it to get me for Christmas. Does anyone know if it WILL or WILL NOT come out for Black Friday 2011?
  
  Answer:-The Pink one is maybe coming out this year.
  
  But I haven't heard anything about the purple one since E3 2010.
  
  But right now is Red, Blue, Black and maybe the Pink one by December.
  
  But there will be a Purple one & a Green one & a Gold One & a White one (the White one is probably coming out in January).

  I'm thinking from best buy. Preferably Panasonic. Definitely 1080p, 600 Hz, 42-45 inches. Smart capabilities would be nice but not needed.
  
  Answer:-No one really knows what the black friday sells will be but they usually dont mark down the best tvs for black friday and if they do the stores usually dont have enough to meet demand.
  
  In response to the guy that doesnt know what he is talking about:
  
  Plasma all the way-Only thing Plasma Starts at 42" and goes up
  -better and deeper blacks
  -wider off angle viewing
  -awesome for fast motion-600Hz refresh rate while the top LCDs/LEDs are only 240Hz-Best for gaming and sports watching
  with a LCD you will have to drop it to 60Hz for gaming to help eliminate the lag
  -No burn in-on new plasmas-was a problem 5 years ago
  -they do use more power than the LCDs-But really if you cant afford the possible 3-5 bucks a month in and increase in your power bill-You do not need to be buying a big tv to begin with.
  -The short life people are talking about equals about 10-15 years of watching. really who wont buy a new tv in 10 freaking years???
  -I have my 65" Hung about 4' from a 72" window and even with the blinds open i have no trouble seeing it or get any annoying reflections. But The ceiling light that is behind the couch will reflect off it at night.
  
  Right now the top Plasmas are made by Panasonic(according to Cnet, consumer reports and a few home video mags). Right now 50" 1080p ( i own this one and the 65" version) at best buy USA around 899 for the 50" 720p is 599
  
  LED tvs are just a LCD with a LED back light instead of Florissant tubes!!!!!!!!!!
  LED tvs ARE JUST LCD with different backlighting they still suffer all the drawbacks of LCD but are just brighter
