Copywriting Tips Review: Aren't You Tired Of Being Pitched To All The Time?

I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of being pitched to . I think we all are and if you're into internet marketing like I am then you get sales offers all the time. I receive unsolicited emails and I even place myself into the line of fire with offers from people who's email list I've personally opted into. I buy things all the time, but I don't like to feel like I'm being pushed into the purchase. So to be successful at internet marketing, it's important to get people to buy things without selling to them.
The internet is a massive information highway and the only way to get noticed is to offer information that people want and are looking for. I know that I'm relying on the internet these days for all sorts of things from business to education to entertainment.
My website has grown pretty large and I now have several hundred review articles posted. The problem is that a lot of my content comes across too much like an advertisement with not enough of my opinions or even pizzazz to be entertaining in the process. Amazon.com does well, in part, because people post their opinion of books, movies, music and products so you can really get a pretty good impression of things just by reading the various customer reviews.
So if you're new to internet marketing you can learn from my mistake and focus on content that informs, offers opinions and entertains . There are six hot buttons in journalism that hold true in internet marketing. Those hot buttons are:
The taboo.
The unusual.
The outrageous.
The hilarious.
The remarkable.
The secrets.
If you can work your website or blog content around any of those six hot buttons, then you'll have a better chance to grab your readers attention.
When you're trying to come up with a catchy title, go to Yahoo.com and see how well their headlines capture your attention with the titles they use. Of course they have employees whose job it is to create those intriguing article headlines, but it will give you an idea of what works. It could even give you some ideas.
The two most important aspects of internet marketing is coming up with unique content that people will be interested in and then marketing the heck out of it to get people to visit your site. There are other tasks that are important too, but I believe that content is king. So if you're sick of being pitched to, then don't be like everyone else. Give your readers what they are looking for.
