• Question:-what is a practical and creative way to display our Christmas photo cards from friends and family?
  I'll get about 100 christmas photo cards from friends and family over the next month. What is a creative and attractive way to display them in my home? Most of the cards are flat, like a large post card. My house is very small.
  
  Answer:-Well, I always put our cards up on our fireplace mantle with some decorations...I do that for every holiday. We don't get 100 cards though, that many cards up there would look tacky.
  
  If you don't have a fireplace, maybe find another type of ledge to put them on? You dont really need to display all of them, do you?

  Answer:-yesterday i received one of those types of Christmas cards from a good friend of mine. I haven't really spoke to them in quite a while since they moved out of state. It was sad that there was nothing attached to the card, not even a quick hi hand written on it. So here's what I think you should do: if you are sending your Christmas card to someone you see all the time then no, leave it just as it is and put it in the envelope and send it off. If it's to someone that you don't see very much, don't talk to very much or stuff like that go ahead and type up a quick letter saying what you were up to that last year.   Answer:-I did this last year. I got christmas cards made up with my son's picture on it. We decorate our tree right after thanksgiving (black friday) so this gave us plenty of time to add in a dvd of my son decorating the tree. My husband made a video online using a chipmunk christmas song...and had my son put ornaments on the tree while we video taped him and pose for pictures that also went into the dvd. We sent them to our close relatives and friends that could not join us for christmas.

Should I write something on the card to make it more personal? Where should I write it - on the front or back?   Answer:-I was wondering the same thing. In the past I haven't, but it is nice when you receive cards from others with a personal message, so this year I probably will. I think on the back- there is more space to write. Make it personal to the recipient, not general. I know it will take me a lot of time though!

  Answer:-Well, there's always the Wikipedia article for a start. But instead of trying to find out about any established history why don't you get the kids to make their own? That way the cornucopia takes on a personal meaning.
  
  You could do a "what are you thankful for" type of activity. Each child lists three or so things that they are thankful for ("my mom", "my gran," "my cat," etc) and then makes a picture of each. The picture gets cut out and then pasted onto a paper cornucopia. Either each child gets their own or you could make a big one for the classroom or hallway wall for all the drawings to be displayed on.

  Answer:-You can try leather shops locally. Also consider Farmers who raise goats locally.
  
  Paper mache would be a good choice also so here is a few tutorials to choose from. I would use some of the ideas and increase the size remember your armature is the support. Sealing them will make them protected from both the enviorment and from seeds and foods you put in it. If you plan to hang add a strong loop or other product for mounting to wall into the armature as you build it. (some trouble shooting for proper hanging will be needed so the placement is how you want it on the wall.
  If using as a center piece build into it a base. you can use cardboard or old styrofoam meat trays for this part. Paper mache can last life times if done correctly.

  Answer:- INGREDIENTS
  
  * 1 1/2 tablespoons margarine, melted
  * 1/2 teaspoon salt
  * 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  * 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  * 2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds
  
  DIRECTIONS
  
  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
  2. Combine the margarine, salt, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and pumpkin seeds. Mix thoroughly and place in shallow baking dish.
  3. Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  Answer:-Just soak them in water for a minute, salt them, then layer them in a pan and stick into the oven at 250 degrees, keep an eye on it and after a couple of minutes, BAM! you're done.

  This is a fun family project or rainy day activity.
  Preheat oven to 250°F.
  
  After removing as much pulp as possible from the pumpkin seeds, place the seeds in a colander in the sink and run cold water over them as you work to remove any remaining pulp. When the seeds are clean, drain them and place between two paper towels to dry.
  
  In a large skillet, sauté 2 cups pumpkin seeds, 2 tablespoons butter or 1 1/2 tablespoons peanut or safflower oil and 1 teaspoon salt. (For an interesting flavor variation, try Morton's Hot Salt or use Seasoned Salt.)
  
  Stir 3 minutes until seeds are well coated with butter.
  
  Spread evenly on a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
  
  Take a few out to try at this point (watch out-they will be hot so let them cool a bit first!)
  
  Some seeds are larger than others and will take longer to bake.
  
  If necessary, continue to bake 15 minutes longer or until lightly browned.
  
  Place on a paper towel to cool.
  
  Variation: After washing the pumpkin seeds, soak seeds for 1-2 hours in a mixture of 1 quart of water and 1/2 cup kosher salt. Be sure salt has dissolved. Remove seeds from water mixture after soaking and dry. Proceed as above.

  Answer:-I sprinkle cinnamon over mine and bake them on 450 for about 10 minutes or until crispy.

  Answer:-I clean the seeds then let dry. You can try to pat them dry with a paper towel....but they tend to stick to the cloth...so I just let them air dry for a little bit. Then I put them in a bowl with a little bit of veg. oil and mix them around to give them a little coating. Then I lay them out on a baking pan and sprinkle kosher salt on them...sometimes I sprinkle BBQ or cajin or hot peppers or garlic or old bay. I have also heard of people putting italian seasoning on them as well...but I have never tried this. I then put them in the oven at 350 for about 12 - 14 minutes and then I will go and try to turn them and just move them around a little bit. Then leave them in there for about another 12 - 14 minutes. The key is to get them to look a bit golden brown. If they do not get cooked thouroughly the first time you can always throw them back in the oven. If they are hard to eat and don't chew to well if they are not cooked good enough. Good luck and try experimenting with different flavors. Also....some people eat the outside shell...others break them apart and only eat the inside....I eat the whole thing (which most people do). I have never tried breaking them apart. Good luck!

  These crunchy, savory seeds will be devoured by the handful. You can find pumpkin seeds in the health food section of your grocery store - or use the ones that you scoop out of your Jack-O-Lantern.
  
  INGREDIENTS:
  
  2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
  1/4 cup butter, melted
  1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  1/2 tsp. cumin
  1 Tbsp. chili powder
  
  PREPARATION:
  
  Place pumpkin seeds on ungreased cookie sheet. Mix together butter and Tabasco sauce and drizzle over the seeds. Combine spices and sprinkle over the coated seeds. Toss well to coat.
