- Question:-Where are the stages usually located at the Rockefeller center Christmas tree lighting?
I'm going to the lighting ceremony on November 30, 2010. I've heard that there is not just one central stage for the performances, but there are many stages scattered around Rockefeller center. Where are these stages usually located? Or do the locations of the stages change every year? Would it be obvious where these stages are if I were to just walk around Rockefeller center a few hours before the show is about to begin?
Answer:-These stages are setup will in advance to the tree lighting. The main stage is by the statue of Prometheus on the rink. The other stages are on the plaza and are basically the same as those used by the Today show for performances on the plaza.
You need to get there very early because the place gets packed and you will not be able to move around. - Question:-What is the average attendance in the Rockefeller Center?
I need to know this for a school project i am doing. What is the average amount of people who go to the rockefeller center. This can be yearly, daily, weekly, etc. Thank you.
Answer:-Well, when you say "Rockefeller Center" you are referring to an area that is several square blocks in area, over 22 acres (see link, below), plus, many, many people pass through there every day on their way to work, too, plus, there's a huge underground shopping concourse there, too, so that's a LOT of people every day.
There's a very good article about it at the 2nd link, below, and perhaps there's an estimate of the numbers of visitors it gets in there.
Good luck!... ☺ - Question:-What is the best way to get from Rockefeller Center to the Statue of Liberty?
We are coming by bus to NY and getting dropped off at Rockefeller Center. One of the places we would like to visit is the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero. I know that taking a taxi would be a huge amont of $. What is the cheapest and most safe way to get to these places?
Answer:-To get to Ground Zero, you take the B, D, F, or M trains (on the downtown side) to West 4th Street and transfer to the A, C or E trains to Chambers Street-World Trade Center.
From Ground Zero, you can simply walk down to South Ferry and take either the free Staten Island Ferry to St. George, which passes by the Statue of Liberty, or take a special ferry to the Statue of Liberty (that you have to pay for)
I hope this was very helpful. - Question:-When is Rockefeller Center decorated for the holidays?
We will be in NY the week of Thanksgiving (leaving NY on Thanksgiving day) and are wondering if some of the sites/windows will be decorated for Christmas? Will Rockefeller Center be decorated by then, even though the tree won't be lit? Thanks so much for your help.
Answer:-Hey.. I hope you're having a great time in NYC.
They start decorating Rockefeller Center mid-november. As a matter of fact, today they put the tree on and tomorrow or later on in the week they will be putting the gigantic star at the top. While they decorate Rockefeller, you might want to considerate stopping by Macy's, which is already decorated! and lightened up!
Have a good time! - Question:-What day do they shut off the Christmas tree in Rockefeller center?
What day do they shut off the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center in NYC? Do they shut it down on Christmas day??? If so what day and time do they shut down the tree? What day do all the windows and evrything in Rockefeller Center go down?
Answer:-The tree stays up until after the new year. The only time the lights are shut off are on NYE (I think).
The store decorations should be up until January 1. - Question:-What is Rockefeller Center used for and what do people do there besides ice skate and shop?
I need this for my project about Rockefeller Center. I need to know what it's used for, and I need to know what people do there besides ice skate in the winter, shop, and dine. :]
Oh and I'm not allowed to use Wikipedia so I won't trust answers that were used from Wikipedia...sorry!

I am a student, I am wrinting a report and would like to know howm many visitors shop or visit the Rockefeller Center daily, monthly, the holiday season ?
Thank you in advance for the informations
Answer:-I love Rockefeller Center simply because NBC studios is right there. Saturday Night Live and Conan tape there. Rosie used to, too. The ice skating rink is also fun, but it's pretty crowded. The third website listed said over half a million people visit the skating rink each year.
Information from the last website:
Rockefeller Center is one of the most highly trafficked areas of New York City attracting 19 million visitors a year to the Music Hall, skating rink, NBC studios, and its Christmas tree. Christie's spokesmen say special traffic arrangements will be made for important evening sales. - Question:-When do they light the tree at Rockefeller center?
My husband and I want to travel to NYC for the first time this year (from Houston) and want to witness lighting the big tree at Rockefeller center. When do they light it? Any other tips for travel? great inexpensive hotels?
Answer:-The exact date hasn't been set yet; it will be either November 27th or November 28th 7 - 9pm (if you call [212] 632-3975 closer to the date, you'll get exact information)
http://www.nyctourist.com/xmas_rockcenter1.htm
If you will be in New for Thanksgiving, you might enjoy watching the preparation for Macy's parade the night before - you can watch them blow up those tremendous balloons, etc (warning - it's crowded and sometimes can get very cold)
http://manhattan.about.com/od/eventsandattractions/a/macysballoons.htm
Hotels in New York are expensive - don't even consider the Pennsylvania or the Carter (bedbugs).
Check out Radio City Apartments on West 49th Street (great location - less than a block from the tree - only a few blocks from the Theatre District). Every room has a kitchenette with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and range. You'll save money if you can take back your restaurant left overs. There are suites and studios - very reasonable prices (for New York)

Read what previous guests think about Radio City Apartments - would they stay there again?
http://www.tripadvisor.com/hotel_review-...
My brother and his family always stay at The Belvedere - spotless, great staff, in the Theatre District, subway and bus at the corner, microwave and fridge in every room, so you can take back the restaurant leftovers - he always gets a good price from Orbitz or PriceLine or Travelocity
http://www.belvederehotelnyc.com/......
There are five Apple Core hotels in Manhattan - they are inexpensive and the New York Times says they are all very clean (they are also in good areas)
http://www.applecorehotels.com/......
Before you choose a hotel, look it up at
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ See what previous guests think about it and would they stay there again. Look at the photos taken by the guests - not the ones posted by the hotel. The professional photographers make a box look like a spacious mansion.
Get a copy of TimeOut New York - part of it is online here:

This should help you plan what you'd like to see. Read other questions and answers here and see other recommendations. Wear comfortable shoes - you should do lots of walking. Have a great time! - Question:-What is the last day that I can go to Rockefeller Center during a year and see the tree lit?
I am planning a trip to NYC on the weekend of 1/5 and was wondering if the tree would still be lit at Rockefeller Center. Any ideas?
Answer:-The tree will be lit through "approximately January 6, 2007". Call the number at this site in a month or so, they may know the exact dates by then.

christmas photo cards
- Question:-what is a practical and creative way to display our Christmas photo cards from friends and family?
I'll get about 100 christmas photo cards from friends and family over the next month. What is a creative and attractive way to display them in my home? Most of the cards are flat, like a large post card. My house is very small.
Answer:-Well, I always put our cards up on our fireplace mantle with some decorations...I do that for every holiday. We don't get 100 cards though, that many cards up there would look tacky.
If you don't have a fireplace, maybe find another type of ledge to put them on? You dont really need to display all of them, do you? - Question:-Would it be strange to send out Christmas photo cards with only a single adult on it?
I love photo cards at Christmas and would like to personally send them out. Unfortunately I don't have a husband or family so I'm wondering if it would be strange to put a picture of just myself on a card. Thoughts?
Answer:-That's fine I don't find it strange! My mom always sends out photos of me alone and my sister alone.. cause my family likes to see how different I look haha !
Hope I helped & Merry Christmas,
Laura - Question:-Where can I get templates for Christmas photo cards?
I'm trying to make some Christmas cards but where can I get the template?
Answer:-Well, you can go here http://www.VistaPrint.com and upload photos into the different designs they offer.
Or if you want to make and print them yourself there is this http://www.dcmag.co.uk/10_Christmas_card_templates.YSb6_hlokZSIBw.html
or maybe here? http://crafts.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Free_Ideas_for_Making_Your_Own_Christmas_Card_Templates
If you put "christmas card templates" in quotes just like that into Google, you'll end up with a ton of options. - Question:-Who does the best Christmas photo cards online? Cutest and best price??
I'm looking for ones where you can put multiple pictures and use them as Christmas cards. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg though.
Answer:-hallmark.com - Question:-Which company offers the best deal on Christmas photo cards?
I have been able to find prices on photo cards from several companies already (walgreens, CVS, Snapfish). But I am curious if anyone knows of anywhere really cheap to get 4x8 photo cards. The prices I have found so far are around $32 - $39 for 60 cards (The amount I need is 60). Is there any better deal?
Answer:-Hallmark - Question:-When you send photo Christmas cards, do you also write a message on the back of the photograph?
For the first time this year I orderd photo christmas cards and now I am wondering if I need to write a personal note to each recipient on the back of the photograph? What do people usually do with these sorts of cards? Thanks!
Answer:-yesterday i received one of those types of Christmas cards from a good friend of mine. I haven't really spoke to them in quite a while since they moved out of state. It was sad that there was nothing attached to the card, not even a quick hi hand written on it. So here's what I think you should do: if you are sending your Christmas card to someone you see all the time then no, leave it just as it is and put it in the envelope and send it off. If it's to someone that you don't see very much, don't talk to very much or stuff like that go ahead and type up a quick letter saying what you were up to that last year. It's nice to read about what has been going on. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays! - Question:-Do you like receiveing photo Christmas cards, or do you prefer traditional Christmas cards?
I don't mind the photo cards if they fold so that I can display them. But of course I always am happy to receive a card. :)
Answer:-I like the photo cards better. Especially when it is from someone I don't see that often. - Question:-What kind of paper is the paper they use to make Christmas Photo cards?
I am looking for that hard glossy paper to make christmas photocards...what is this paper called and how can i buy some?
Answer:- - Question:-Will you be sending out those family photo Christmas cards this year?
I think we are going to. I've been looking on-line for inspiration. What are you planning to do for your Christmas cards this year?
Alex! That is precious!!!!
Rosie, I can't see the link. :-(
Answer:-I did this last year. I got christmas cards made up with my son's picture on it. We decorate our tree right after thanksgiving (black friday) so this gave us plenty of time to add in a dvd of my son decorating the tree. My husband made a video online using a chipmunk christmas song...and had my son put ornaments on the tree while we video taped him and pose for pictures that also went into the dvd. We sent them to our close relatives and friends that could not join us for christmas. - Question:-Should I write on Christmas photo cards?
This year I ordered Christmas photo cards from a website, and they already have a holiday message and our name printed on them (next to a photo of us). Should I write something on the card to make it more personal? Where should I write it - on the front or back? What should I write given that the card already says season's greetings, happy holidays, and our names?
Answer:-I was wondering the same thing. In the past I haven't, but it is nice when you receive cards from others with a personal message, so this year I probably will. I think on the back- there is more space to write. Make it personal to the recipient, not general. I know it will take me a lot of time though!
a christmas story
- Question:-How do I tell the Christmas Story to Kindergarteners?
I was assigned a project for my Bible class where I have to teach the Christmas/Nativity story to a Kindergarten class. Any ideas on how I can tell it at their level and keep their attention?
Answer:-Get a children's book with nice pictures and the story told in simple words. You can read and stop to show the pictures. Have one for my grandchildren they love it. - Question:-what is the name of the Christmas story of Santa accompanying a dying soldier?
it was on the radio this year on christmas of a dying soldier how was accompanied by santa while on his death bed. i am trying to find it on youtube but i cant, can anyone give me the name of the story.
Answer:-Is this some kind of South Park humor? - Question:-What is the title of the christmas story in the description?
I can only remember parts of the story. I know it is about four different peoples christmases, and one is an orphan. They all tie together in some way and one of them ends up adopting the orphan(or the sister does) when they find her nearly frozen behind (a dumpster?) because she ran away. one person is rich and in her dads restraunt they have a christmas tree people can put wishes on (One is a ski trip and another is new shoes) and the little orphan puts her wish on it asking for a family.
Answer:-What Child Is This? by Caroline B Cooney
From School Library Journal
"A heart-tugging story with an upbeat ending, told in alternating chapters by the young people involved. Eight-year-old Katie, an emotionally starved foster child, writes a wish on a paper bell that will be hung on a Christmas tree in a local restaurant. There, members of the community can choose a request and give a gift to a needy child. However, Katie doesn't ask for toys or clothing?she wishes for a family. Although the social worker says her request is inappropriate, Matt, a high school student who lives in the same foster home and works in the restaurant, hangs the bell on the tree. Liz, Matt's classmate, is upset when her uncaring father reads the wish, calls it ridiculous, and tears up the bell. Meanwhile, Liz's older sister struggles with her grief over the recent death of her baby. When Matt tells Katie on Christmas Eve that her wish will not come true, the devastated girl runs out into a blizzard, setting off a chain of events that brings about a resolution befitting a holiday tale." - Question:-What should I write my Christmas story about?
I need to write a short Christmas story or poem for my school. It's for a club I'm in called Young Authors. For every major holiday we make a booklet filled with short stories, poems, and songs that we write. I'm looking for some good ideas for mine. I don't want whole stories, just ideas.

Have you already gone to look at Christmas lights? Will you?
I went tonight to Rema Bible College in Tulsa, OK.
Amazing.
Answer:-Yes I have! My family and I drove by a few parks in downtown Milwaukee this afternoon. They were beautiful. Lots of blues and whites.
There are a few other light displays around that we'll be going to that raise money for children's charities and such. Always lots of fun. I love the house with the giant Grinch setup. :) - Question:-How can Christmas lights be utilized indoors to add a subtle ambience to a room without being overpowering?
Would it be better to use the Christmas lights that come in tinted shades and give off a soft light orange light as opposed to white light or other colors? I don't want it to look like a Christmas decoration/theme or look tacky. Also, what are some safety precautions to keep in mind when decorating with them? Are they a fire hazard if draped over fabric, for instance?
Answer:-I have often decorated tall indoor plants with those tiny white lights. They give off a soft light that doesn't look particularly Christmasy. I usually leave them on throughout the nite as they light the way to other parts of the house when all is dark in the middle of the night.
I wouldn't use them over fabric for any length of time as they might scorch the fabric if it came into direct contact. - Question:-What are the best christmas lights to use that wont burn out quickly?
I am looking to buy some new christmas lights for outdoor use. Maybe some isicle lights or something. I just want to know what to look for when purchasing the lights. I have had way too many experiences with the lights burning out or not working after one season. What are the best lights to get and where can I find them? Does anyone have any that they had good experiences with first hand? Thanks in advance . Merry Christmas!
Answer:-If you want long life go for LED lights. The globes themselves will last for about 20yrs. Where they will fail is in the cable and the connections, so go for some with a thicker cable, strong joins and preferably with the cable loomed (bundled) together the give the whole thing some strength.
If you are going to use them outside make sure they are the 12v or 24v version for safety.
As with all bud style lighting handle with care when installing, dismantaling and storing and it will last you many seasons. Remember one small snag is enough to ruin the whole chain.
As to where to find them most stores stock them these days you can even get them at discount stores, China is flooding the market with cheap LED at the moment. Hope this helps. - Question:-How to hang Christmas Lights on the inside of my screened Lanai?
Whast is the best easiest way to hang Christmas Lights f=on the inside of my screened lanai where the pool is? Im having a pool birthday party for my son and he wanted there to be christmas lights.
Answer:-i'd like to know that also. i've used little sticky tabs with velcro and clips to hold them up (got them at walmart) but they fell down after a few weeks (the stickiness wore off). i've also tried a hot glue gun every few feet and that lasted a little longer but i still had a few give out after a month or so. if it's only for a single event, and you don't have time or can't find those sticky tab/velcro/clip things, i would go with a hot glue gun. make sure the glue blob wraps around the wires because the wires can pop out of the glue pretty easily. this should be adequate for the party but if somebody else has a more permanent solution, i'd be happy to know about it also. - Question:-How did the whole christmas lights decoration begin?
I see in my neighborhood a lot of houses are full of christmas decorations on the outside. So many decorations that people come from different parts of the city just to see the lights spectacular. How did this christmas lights decoration begin? Why did people start decorating their houses for Christmas and not any other holiday as much?
Answer:-make sure santa sees your house - Question:-Christmas-How do Christmas lights make a Christmas tree come alive and look more beautiful?
What do people mean when they say that Christmas lights make any Christmas tree come alive and look nice than trees decorated with out Christmas lights,my family has Multi colored lights and there tree and when it is day time, the tree looks lifeless but when night comes and the sun goes down and the tree get turned on and it has a turn-able stand,it seems like it comes alive with all of those Multi colored lights on it.
Answer:-I think it means that lights can add that extra sparkle to the tree. They make the tree stand out from anything else in your house, because it is so bright and illuminated. Also, the way the lights reflect off the ornamnts really draws your eye to the tree and it really makes the tree come alive :) Can't wait to put my tree back up again! - Question:-Can leaving Christmas lights on kill a pine tree?
We have a small pine that my husband left Christmas lights on for over a year. I recently noticed that it is dying and some needles and branches are turning brown. I had my husband take the lights off, but I want to know if there is anything else we can do to help restore this tree. I heard that 7 up works. Is that a myth or are there any other home remedies that could help?
Answer:-I cannot see Xmas lights being the cause of your problems. Without seeing the tree or knowing its history it is impossible to give an opinion.

What is the name of Miss Piggy's dog?
Answer:-Foofoo! - Question:-How are the muppets and sesame street related?
I am doing a research project on the muppets for school, and whenever I search for Jim Henson, the creator of the muppets, I get stuff about both the muppets and sesame street.
For those of you that know, can you please post a link to a website stating that, because my teacher requires "proof" for everything I say in my research project.
Answer:-They all have the same father, Jim Henson, (well the majority of characters do anyway). - Question:-How well do you think the new Muppets film coming out in November will do at the box office?
I wonder about that. I like the Muppets and I am interested in seeing the movie but I think the Muppets are kind of out of style nowadays and that the movie just might flop. Still, seeing the Muppets on the big screen would be a nice change from the overdone CGI Characters. What about the rest of you?
Answer:-They are making new muppets.
I dont know. probably good. - Question:-What was the name of the muppets Christmas special where they were in a farm house with fraggle rock?
There was a special on tv when I was a kid with the muppets stranded in a farm house. John Denver was there and fraggle rock was in the basement. Either it was a special round the 80's... or I was tripping. Any help?
Answer:-John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together. There is another Muppet Christmas special called A Muppet Family Christmas where Fozzie Bear takes the gang to meet his mother on the farm during Christmas.

chanukah
- Question:-What is the difference between Hanukkah and Chanukah?
Everytime I look up Hanukkah I also see Chanukah, are they the same thing or is there a difference between the two?
Answer:-Same day...different spellings. That's all.
"Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights or Festival of Rededication, is an eight day Jewish holiday that starts on the 25th day of Kislev, which may be in December, late November, or, while very rare in occasion, early January (as was the case for the Hannukkah of 2005–2006). The festival is observed in Jewish homes by the kindling of lights on each of the festival's eight nights, one on the first night, two on the second night and so on.
In Hebrew script, the word Hanukkah is written ×—× ×›×” or ×—× ×•×›×”. It is most commonly transliterated to English as Hanukkah or Chanukah. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanukah - Question:-For all the Jewish Chanukah kids, What did your Mom cook for Chanukah dinner when you were young?
I'm Bar Mitzvahd and grew up reformed Jewish in NY and had stuffed cabbage in tomatoes for Chanukah's first night. Latkes, Sweets, Marzupan, Matzo, etc...What did your Mom feed you on Chanukah?
Answer:-chicken , latkes, sweet potato pie, matza ball soup - Question:-Would any Jew on here be willing to help me figure out how to properly celebrate Chanukah?
My brother and I want to start a tradition of celebrating Chanukah, but we don't know where to start and would like a real Jew's help in making sure we get it right.
Answer:-http://www.jewfaq.org/holiday7.htm
it says everything you need to know. Chanukah is not a very complicated holiday. you only have to do one thing: lighting the candles the rest is just optional. - Question:-How do people in France celebrate Chanukah?
is it the same way Americans celebrate Chanukah?
Answer:-It is celebrated world wide the same way. How kwel is that? - Question:-What is the difference between Chanukah and Hanukkah?
Are they just two different spellings for the same thing? What is the reason for the two spellings? thanks!
Answer:-Two different spellings, that's all. They are the same thing: an eight night long holiday that honors the rededication of the Temple. The reason for the two different spellings:
It is originally Chanukah, or Chanukkah. Hanukah or Hanukkah is the Americanized version. In Hebrew, "ch" makes a kind of and "h"- ish sound, like saying the h sound and trying to scrape a piece of popcorn along your thorught at the same time.
Hope this cleared up some of the confusion that Americans have about the Chanukah/Hanukah thing! - Question:-Can someone tell me what Chanukah is?
I need to know what Chanukah is for a report im doing in school. Can anyone help?
Please only logical, educated answers.
Answer:-The festival of lights. To celebrate and remember the Maccabean revolt against Antiochus Epiphanes of Greece. Pax Christi - Question:-Is Chanukah as big a holiday for the Jews as Christmas is for the Christians? ?
What is the biggest Jewish holiday? And also, why are Chanukah and Christmas celebrated around the same time every year?
Answer:-No, Channukah is actually a minor holiday for us, though still important. Our major holidays, what we call the High Holy Days, are Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Passover/Pesach (the holiday remembering our exodus from Egypt).
Channukah occurs on the 25th of Kislev (a month on the Jewish calendar). The Jewish calendar is lunar based, so there are 12-13 months due to the 12.4 month solar cycle...when putting Channukah on the Christian calendar the date changes each year since there are only 12 months on that calendar. But Kislev is always around December, so Channukah can fall on the end of November through around Christmas. Hope that wasn't too confusing lol...it's hard to explain :) Here is a wikipedia article explaining it more thoroughly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_calendar
Hope that helps :) - Question:-A Messianic Jewish family puts a Menorah in their window at Chanukah - is this wrong?
I live in an area with a mix of religions, races and creeds. I read here that Messianic Jews shouldn't use Jewish things. Is it wrong for these Messianic Jews to put a menorah in their window? They light Shabbat candles too.
Is this wrong for them to do?
To answer that asked if I asked "Why can't people get along", I did NOT ask that question.
Answer:-No. From a Christian viewpoint, Jews practicing Jewish Customs and following the Jewish Messiah is what God desires. Messianic Jews continue traditional practices and celebrate Christ in the Passover next week. Please bear with some background:
Israel as a nation rejects Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah prophesied by Moses, Prophets and the Writings. But there are many individual Jews who believe the Prophet Isaiah who said that the Messiah must suffer and die and would return as a glorious King - (Isaiah 53) (King David in Psalms 22:1 suffering Messiah) Zechariah 11:1 Two Shepherds....there are hundreds. This was actually taught by the Midrash Cohen in the Talmudic Period but later dropped as Christianity threatened Judaism. All the first century followers of Jesus were Jewish and continued in the Jewish customs and laws. - Question:-When exactly does chanukah start this year?
Please excuse my ignorance, but i"m not Jewish. I just don't want to wish my the Jewish people I know a Happy Chanukah too early or to late.
Answer:-Hanukkah begins on December 16th, this coming Saturday, with the first candle being lighted Friday evening evening at sundown; the Jewish day goes from sunset to sunset, rather than from midnight to midnight.
Happy Holidays, whatever yours may be! - Question:-Is there a scriptual reason Jewish give gifts on Chanukah.?
The background of CHRISTMAS gifts came from the Bible story of the three wise men or Magi, bringing Gold, Frankencense and Myrrh to the new born Christ.
Where did the tradition of giving gifts on CHANUKAH come from?
Answer:-The custom of giving Christmas gifts does not come from the Bible story of the wise men. That's absurd. Gift-giving at the Winter Solstice and New Year feasts was customary in both Republican and Imperial Rome and long pre-dated any Christmas celebrations. No doubt, since the Wise Men story is there, and a good story, it offers religious encouragement and justification for gift-giving ... but we give gifts to one another because we gain pleasure from doing it, and because it adds to the seasonal merriment ... and that is sufficient reason.

christmas tree tax
- Question:-is a new 0bama christmas tree tax the way to go?
http://blog.heritage.org/2011/11/08/obama-couldnt-wait-his-new-christmas-tree-tax/
the tree's are already taxed like all trees but is it right to charge extra tax on these trees just for the holiday session? then why not a special turkey tax for the month of november? or extra beer tax in october? etc...
Answer:- - Question:-Is this Christmas tree tax thing Constitutional?
Is it constitutional for the government to put added taxes on a token of religious worship? If it were more blatant, like a 70% tax on crucifixes, or prayer mats or something, wouldn't this be obviously unconstitutional? How is this different? Is it different? Your thoughts.
You're absolutely right, they were the ones that wanted the fee, but that doesn't change what it is. If Muslims wanted a .15 cent tax on prayer mats in order for the government to promote prayer mats, there'd be a riot.
Answer:- - Question:-Is anyone else excited about Obamas Christmas Tree tax?
President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees. (7 CFR 1214.46(n))

Answer:- - Question:-Do you know who is poised to receive the millions in taxes from n0bama's new Christmas Tree Tax?
wait for it.....
the christmas tree industry !!!
...and you thought it was to help pay off the national debt
Answer:- - Question:-Instead of a Christmas Tree Tax why doesn't n0bama create a Hanuka Candle Tax?
or a Muslim Prayer tax?
Answer:- - Question:-Poll: federally imposed Christmas tree tax add?
Do you agree with the federally added 15 cent tax add on Christmas tree sales this year as a good idea?
Also, do you agree that fake Christmas trees should be banned (sounds like there are some people who agree with this as well)?

What are yours? Explanations to add to your answers are welcome.
My answers: no and no.
Answer:- - Question:-Thief in Chief, imposes 15% Christmas Tree Tax, like it?
Next year, The Thief in Chief, has a really, really good idea, An Easter Egg Tax. Shows the insanity
of this administration. Suppose he has a Christmas tree Czar too. Boot this commie a$$-clown and all
his marxist buddies out, 2012.
Answer:- - Question:-Since Obama is imposing a Christmas tree tax. Will he also tax prayer rugs?
Answer:- - Question:-Rush broke the news that the Christmas Tree tax isn't caused by Obama. But will anyone listen?
Listening to second hour of Rush Limbaugh today, I heard him say the tax was actually from the USDA.
It was added after lobbying Christmas tree growers association, to help fund an add similar to the "Got Milk" ads. While Rush (as usual) was against the tax, he stressed that this wasn't Obama's doing.
Question is does any one care? All the "blame America first"ers seems to be happy to blame this on President Obama.
More details : http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=142188364
The program — similar to familiar industry campaigns like "Got Milk?" "Beef: It's What's For Dinner" and "The Incredible Edible Egg" — would have been fully funded by fees on the industry at 15 cents per Christmas tree sold. The industry had asked the USDA to set up the program.
Conservative critics said the costs could eventually be passed on to consumers. The National Christmas Tree Association said it wouldn't have an impact on the price consumers pay for their trees.
White House spokesman Matt Lehrich said the USDA would delay the program, but defended it, saying it was not a tax.
"I can tell you unequivocally that the Obama administration is not taxing Christmas trees," Lehrich said. "What's being talked about here is an industry group deciding to impose fees on itself to fund a promotional campaign."
@RoadRunner
to be fair he has already stopped it (see link posted in question).
"the White House said Wednesday it was reversing its decision to approve an industry-sponsored Christmas tree promotion program after conservatives accused the Agriculture Department of spoiling Christmas with a new tree tax."
Answer:- - Question:-Obama's Christmas tree tax, libs are blaming Bush, but Clinton was in office in 1996?
President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).
To pay for the new Federal Christmas tree image improvement and marketing program, the Department of Agriculture imposed a 15-cent fee on all sales of fresh Christmas trees by sellers of more than 500 trees per year (7 CFR 1214.52). And, of course, the Christmas tree sellers are free to pass along the 15-cent Federal fee to consumers who buy their Christmas trees.
Acting Administrator Shipman had the temerity to say the 15-cent mandatory Christmas tree fee “is not a tax nor does it yield revenue for the Federal government” (76 CFR 69102). The Federal government mandates that the Christmas tree sellers pay the 15-cents per tree, whether they want to or not. The Federal government directs that the revenue generated by the 15-cent fee goes to the Board appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out the Christmas tree program established by the Secretary of Agriculture. Mr. President, that’s a new 15-cent tax to pay for a Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
Nobody is saying President Obama doesn’t have authority to impose his new Christmas Tree Tax — his Administration cites the Commodity Promotion, Research and Information Act of 1996. Just because the Obama Administration has the legal power to impose its Christmas Tree Tax doesn’t mean it should do so.
Libs owned again. Does the stupid ever end in the DNC?

andy williams
- Question:-andy williams?
Are the brothers of Andy Williams alive and well?
Answer:-Good question. I could only find that they were older and their names - Bob, Dick, and Don. But couldn't find if they were alive or not. Being that Andy was born in 1927. I would say there is a good chance that they are not. - Question:-Andy Williams?
I have heard rumors that Andy Williams actually provided the singing voice for Lauren Bacall in the movie To Have and Have Not-has any one else heard this?
Answer:-That is so silly
I know her and she did it - Question:-What song did Andy Williams sing at the end of every Andy Williams Show episode?
My grandmother would really like to know what song he ended each one of his shows with... it'd be a great Christmas gift to figure it out!

Mike Dennis. - Question:-How many wives has andy williams had?
One was Claudette or something like that but I know that marriage ended in divorce.
Answer:-In 1961 Andy married a stunning, whispery-voiced French chanteuse named Claudine Longet (born in Paris in 1942), who was 15 years younger. The couple had three children. She made a mild hit of the song "Love Is Blue" and enjoyed slight celebrity status. Like the Crosby family, Andy's clan became an integral part of his annual classic Christmas TV specials. Despite the fact that the couple separated in 1969, Claudine continued to appear in these specials in the early 1970s.
In tandem with his famous TV show, Andy opened Caesar's Palace in 1966 and went on to headline there for 20 years. Following the demise of his TV success, Andy continued to tour both here and abroad. He laid low for a time to protect his children through a tragic crisis when his ex-wife Claudine (since 1975) became enmeshed in a tabloid-styled shooting in March of 1976. The 1970s also deemed the cardigan-wearing Andy as too square and clean-cut to prod younger audiences. Nevertheless he hosted the Grammy Awards a few times and returned to a syndicated series format in 1976, which was short-lived. Andy remarried happily in 1991 to non-professional Debbie Haas.
Inspired by singer/friend Ray Stevens, Andy had built a $12 million state-of-the-art theater, which opened in 1992 and was christened the Andy Williams Moon River Theater. Andy became the first non-country star to perform there and other theme shows have since been inspired to populate the small town--now considered the live music capital of the world. At age 70+, he continues to perform in Branson, where he and his wife reside, and in Europe. - Question:-What advert / film was the song you're too good to be true on by andy williams or orignally by frankie valli?
I know this has been on an advert or in a film and it's annoying me as I cant remember what it was on... pretty sure it was an advert although someone at work says its a film!!
Answer:-Rogue Trader?
Good luck! - Question:-Does anyone know if this is Andy Williams song?
What is the name of this song and does Andy Williams sing this song?
And yes- I know how loney life can be – the shadows follow me – and the night won’t set me free –but I don’t let the evening get me down – wow that you’re around me.
Thank you
Answer:-"And I Love You So" by Perry Como (others have sung it too, but I remember him singing it).

http://www.lyricsfreak.com/p/perry+como/and+i+love+you+so_20106586.html - Question:-When will the 2010 Andy Williams Christmas Show air?
On public television, in the Chicagoland area if that changes anything? I like to see it every year so I don't want to miss it. Thanks (:
Answer:-Unfortunately, there is no 20l0 Andy Williams Christmas Show TV special. It is possible that PBS may be running an old one. However, if you want to see Andy perform his holiday show, he'll be at his Moon River Theatre in Branson, Mo through Dec. 11, then he'll be in Costa Mesa, CA 12/16-18, Rancho Mirage, CA, 12/21-22 and at The Hilton in Las Vegas 12/23-24. - Question:-Where's Giancarlo Varanini, Drew Williams, and Andy Meyers of Nintendo Power?
Giancarlo seemed to come and go, and Andy seemed missing when Future US took over the magazine. Drew Williams also went missing the same way.
Anyone know what happened?
Answer:-Future US brought in its own staff, presumably those guys were sacked or didn’t want to work under the new management. The internet says that Giancarlo has worked for Official US PlayStation Magazine, maybe he’s still there. Is it Meyers or Myers? I didn’t turn up much on “Andy Meyers”, but there IS an “Andy Myers” who worked at Nintendo( including Nintendo Power) until August. He now works for Microsoft. “Drew Williams” is too common a name, making research difficult, sorry. - Question:-How old is Andy Williams?
Answer:-his Date of Birth: 3 December 1927 that makes him about 78 - Question:-Did any of you realize that Andy Williams was still alive ?
I was thinking that NBC holographically digitized his corpse !
Answer:-No, I did not realize it. In fact, i didn't even believe you so I had to look it up. He IS alive. And hes 77 years old. He will be 78 in December. Wow. Makes me feel kinda young.

crystal cathedral
- Question:-Are front row seats good for the Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove?
I want to purchase tickets to see the Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, my first instinct is to get front row seats as I will have a 6 and 8 year old with me and I want them to be able to see but does anyone have any advice about the front row? good or bad seats?
Answer:-Don't get the front row seats.
Because you are kind of close to the stage.
And if you are close to the front. Then you
might have to lift your head up all the time, and
that can be tiring for you and your children.
So why not get seated in the middle, so you
don't have to lift your head up. - Question:-Where should I sit in the Crystal Cathedral of the Glory of Christmas?
I am going to see the Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove and I wanted to know the best seats to sit in. I dont want someone's big head in my way, I dont want to strain my neck and I dont want to be far away either!! Thanks!!
crystalcathedral.org is the website
Answer:-All the seats are good but I wouldn't sit in the very front because the animals are there and it gets smelly. Bottom middle is probably best. - Question:-What is the volume of the Crystal Cathedral in Orange County, California?
It's a pretty big cathedral and it got me curious. I haven't been able to find out what the area is though.
Answer:-The Crystal Cathedral
12141 Lewis Street (at Chapman Avenue),
Garden Grove, CA. / (714) 971-4000 or (714) 544-5679
The church seats almost 3,000 worshipers for Sunday services. But giant, sliding glass doors on the side of the church allow even more worshipers to watch the services from their cars in the parking lot. - Question:-How can I play inthe orchestra at the Crystal Cathedral in California?
Who do I contact? What orchestra is it?
Answer:-It seems there's not an orchestra page on their website, but the choir page does have a phone number and I'm sure they'd be happy to help. - Question:-Now that the Crystal Cathedral has gone bankrupt, would that be a good place for a mosque?
They were only bringing in $2,000,000 a month and some salaries were quite high.
But the Saudi Prince and Fox news owner could easily afford it.
Answer:-I think the Superfriends should make it their new lair.
The Hall of Justice looks so 70's. - Question:-Why wasn't God able to prevent the suicide at the Crystal Cathedral?
Wouldn't it stand to reason that a holy, loving, omnipotent God would not allow a parishioner to commit a sin and kill himself in one of his places of worship?
Answer:-Free will. - Question:-Who is a good compare/contrast for Robert H. Schuller, the New Age Pastor of the Crystal Cathedral?
I am looking for a historical figure, perhaps a minister or pastor, perhaps not. Someone to compare leadership styles.
Answer:-What about Joseph Smith? You'll have little trouble finding information on him. He invented the Mormon religion. Ted Haggard might be better to compare with someone like Robert Schuller, though. - Question:-On this VJ day should the US propose building a Crystal Cathedral in Hiroshima?
Even if Japanese law would allow it, would it be insensitive, to say the least, for American evangelicals to propose a christian church at the site of a WWII disaster - in light of the Muslim plans for NYC?
Answer:-No liberal in this country would ever endorse that. Liberals only enjoy desecrating American mass graves. - Question:-where can i get a program or schedule of the Crystal Cathedral Glory of Christmas at LA California?
I want the original one scanned or photos of it. (2009 by the way) PLEASE I NEED IT TODAY!!!
Answer:-Try to google it. - Question:-Does the Crystal Cathedral qualify as the Studio 54 of the fundamentalist Christian world?
Answer:-It will when they get the disco ball installed.
