college football scores

  • Question:-Where can I find old college football scores and stats from the 1980's and 1990's?
I need to find some college scores for schools that I do not see scores for anymore like Campbellsville State from NCAA D2 and for Evergreen State from Washington state.

    Answer:-Youtube
  • Question:-what is the best web site for real time college football scores?

Answer:-ESPN, Yahoo sprots page or CBS Sportsline are all very adequate.
  • Question:-college football scores text to my phone how to?
is there a site that will text the top 25 college foot ball teem scores to my phone for free

    Answer:-check ESPN
  • Question:-College Football Scores?
Where can i watch College Football Scores online.
Is http://www.DigitalTVforPC.org really good for live games as they say?

    Answer:-espn.com would work
  • Question:-is there a phone number I can call and get up to date college football scores?

    Answer:-Try 1-888-75-SCORES (72673)
  • Question:-Impossible college football scores.?
Ok all you college football fans. I have a football puzzler for you. Using NCAA football rules what are the only scores that are completely impossible to have? By this I mean team A has X points and team B has Y points. I want you to list the actual scores that are impossible. My guess, and I am not completely sure, is that there are only 6 combos that are impossible. I will list my 6 after I hear some answers. Have fun.
Thanks for the responses. So far, the only responder to come close is "Billy", but there is a technicality error to his answer. He is absolutely correct that it is possible to score 1 point through a "one point safety" by the defense off a conversion. However, it is also possible for a final score to be 1-0. This would make a totoal of only 6 impossible scores. Can anybody figure it out? Good luck.
Well done "Better than Most". However, I was including the 1-0 technical forfeiture score as a possible "official" score and that is why I came up with 6. However As far as the 0-0 score, I too am not 100% sure of the rules in terms of game termination but presumed that play would continue until someone in fact scored.
This is an interesting topic for another puzzler. Peace and thanks for playing. Hope you enjoyed..Scott

    Answer:-Good question.

I don't think that 0 - 0 is possible. I'm not positive but I'm not reading the overtime rules to figure it out. Presumably they would play until one team or the other scored and then held the opposing team. Maybe they would call it a draw after 10 overtimes. Who cares?

By my count the impossible scores are:
I think 1 - 1 is impossible because a team must score at least a touchdown to earn a 1 pt safety.
I think 1 - 2 is impossible because a team must score at least a touchdown to earn a 1 pt safety.
I think 1 - 3 is impossible for the same reason as previously stated.
    Same is true of 1 - 4 and 1 - 5.
A score of 1-6 is possible if the defense scores a one point safety after the first touchdown of the game. I believe that this is the lowest possible score when one team has but a single point.
I think 1 - 7 is the last impossible score. I can't figure a way for Team A to have exactly 7 points if Team B already has 1.

So I came up with 7.

That's right. You won't catch me on the old forfeit rule which allows for a final score of 1 - 0.
  • Question:-Need online college football scores from September 30th, 1950?
Sports nuts - I need a site that has results of all college football games played on September 30th, 1950. What makes this more difficult - I need scores from smaller schools - especially a game played between Norwich (Vermont) and Coast Guard on September 30th, 1950. The score was 41 - 0, but I have conflicting info on who won and where the game was played. Have not been able to confirm anything online so far. Any football researchers out there who know the definitive answer? (Coast Guard or Norwich alumni might also know...)

Answer:-Coast Guard beat Norwich 41-0 in New London, CT.

    Go to cfbdatawarehouse.com.

They have the scores for every game every team has ever played going back pre 1900. It has the location the game was played, the score, etc. AMAZING INFORMATION.
  • Question:-How do I get College Football and NFL scores on my cell phone?

Answer:-go to your web browser and look up www.m.espn.com

It will give you the option to go to the scoreboard.

  • Question:-Where are the college football scores?

    Answer:-They're here: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/scoreboard
  • Question:-Who is going to win next weak in college football? name the scores of your games you want to watch and rank‼?
I really want to watch BYU at Utah

    Ranks Champion series
    BYU:14
    Utah:7
BYU lost to TCU and Utah is undeafeted
They are rivals that are in state. And I think whoever wins might have a chance at a BCS game

    Scores
    BYU: 38
    Utah: 36

Answer:-I agree with you, the Holy War should be very interesting this week. It's going to be a thriller! This game is going to come down to who has a better 2 min. drill and who has the ball last. Who is that team? BYU!

    BYU 34
    Utah 31

Texas Tech and Oklahoma should be very interesting too. I think here, particularly in Norman, Oklahoma is going to throw a monkey wrench into Texas Tech and into the BCS standings.

    TxT 42
    OU 49

Boise State at Nevada has the potential of being interesting too... However, Boise State will be too much for the Wolfpack.

    BSU 42
    UN 21

    Cheers!

  • Question:-Are you familiar with Benetton ad campiagns and if so?
do you know how they relate to any of Calvin Klein ads

    Answer:-sorry i am not
  • Question:-I have to write a five page paper and I don't think it will be possible can you please help?
We have to pick two ads, one from any of Benetton ad campaigns and another by Calvin Kelin, and do a formal analysis of their rhetorical strategies and the meanings the wish to communicate.

What does it mean to do a formal analysis and what are rhetorical strategies

Answer:-oh sweetie... five page paper.... i was just looking at the homework help advice that others have given you, and they are all great!!!...

But I would like to add one more thing... I didn't really have an answer for you, but one thing did strike me when I read your question.

It's the part where you said... "and I don't think it will be possible..."

If you 'think' it is impossible and 'believe' it is impossible, then it WILL be impossible. You've sealed your fate before you have even started writing!

But now that you've gotten some REALLY helpful advice from others, NOW do you think it is possible??? Believe that it IS possible, and you'll be able to start writing. WOW...You're sooo lucky to have so many people helping you. =) Good luck writing. Believe it is possible. I believe you can write this 5 page paper. Now you just have to believe that you can, too! That's all.... Rooting for you at the sidelines!!! GO-GO, LaLa!! You can do it!
  • Question:-What do you think they're trying to say with their eyes... and how is this ad effective in selling ads?
snob appeal? harsh gaze filled with contempt?
    idk.....

    http://www.fashionising.com/pictures/p--United-Colours-of-Benetton-Spring-Summer-2010-Ad-Campaign0-5056-75985.html

Answer:-I think they are trying to disrespect me by giving me the up-down. Grrrrr
I won't be buying their knits, no way!
  • Question:-provocative ads?
i was wondering if anyone knows where can i get some provocative ads. i have an oral presentation soon. i know United colours of benetton has loads of provocative ads but i want something worse.. something more radical.

    thanks (´´, )
    printed ads.

Answer:-Do you mean like print ads? Go to the library and read through the magazines. I would suggest Stuff, Maxim, and FHM. These are men's magazines and the content is socially unacceptable so the ads are about ten times worse. If you can get the back copies for free great, if not you could go out and buy the magazines with the ads that caught your eye.

tanuki

  • Question:-What is the diffrence between a tanuki and a raccoon?
So far the only difference between tanuki and raccoon that i know of is that tanukis are from Japan and raccoons from America. Is there a bigger diffrence then that?

Answer:-'Tanuki' is the Japanese word for the raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides). This is a member of the dog family, Canidae, which is found in Eurasia. It is a completely different animal to the raccoon (Procyon lotor) of North America, which is a member of the family Procyonidae. It resembles the raccoon in shape and colour, hence its name, but the two are not related beyond both belonging to the order Carnivora. Here are some images:

  • Question:-What is the origin to the Japanese mythology about Tanuki testicals?
Where does it come from? They say all myths are based off of some small truth.

    Answer:-Japan
  • Question:-Is there a pokemon based on a badger or a tanuki?
I've been sucked back into the fandom by a friend, but I missed the generation III pokes (or maybe I missed an older one). I know there are plenty of poke fans out there! ;) Can one of you answer? Thanks ♥

Answer:-Also they said that the Pokemon Typhlosion is possibly based on a badger/wolverine...
Zigzagoon can be possibly based on the tanuki
Linoone can possible be based on a Wiesel/badger
  • Question:-do they teach stealth and cloaking techniques as well as fighting at the Tanuki Bujinkan Dojo in New Jersey?
Is this the true art of the ninja or just fighting techniques?

Answer:-Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is the true art of Ninjutsu. You will learn all of the techniques of the Ninjas including stealth.
  • Question:-Where can I go to see wild Tanuki in Japan?

the native japanese raccoon is the tanuki.. i see lots of pics but where do i find them!!

Answer:-Tanuki are furtive and nocturnal-I have come across kamoshika and plenty of monkeys while hiking in Japan, but never a tanuki. It's not as if they are rare, they are out there but you just don't see them. If you really want to see one the best approach would likely be to set up a "stake-out" overnight near a garbage can or wherever else humans would be likely to leave something edible they could grab. I imagine they are crazy about salt just like raccoons so they are likely to seek out chip bags and the like . My guess is Chichubu would be crawling with them.
  • Question:-Can anyone tell me about Inari Kitsune or Tanuki or Neko? Are they all shapeshifters?
I read a little about Inari foxes on Wiki but I'm wondering if you have anything else to tell me. Was there any special kitsune? Do all neko shapeshift or just the very old ones? Can racoons shapeshift?

Answer:-I'm pagan, and one of my primary dieties is (are?) kitsune. Most that are devoted to them simply refer to them as kitsune, which I believe simply means "fox".

Kitsune are servants of the rice-god Inari, and are typically mild-mannered or unthreatening, due to whom they're serving. Their counterparts, called nogitsune, are the "wild" foxes, sort of free agents, and cause mischief and mayhem, sometimes harmless pranks and sometimes much more serious. If you've ever heard the term foxfire (or, more likely, the internet browser firefox), in japanese it is called kitsune-bi, a globe of white or blue light under the control of a nogitsune, often used to lure travellers to their doom on dark nights. Some say if you can catch a nogitsune's kitsune-bi, it will grant you a wish to get it back.

Kitsune can shapeshift into anything they wish, but most tales have them turning into incredibly attractive men and women (who usually go on to seduce someone) that sometimes have their true nature revealed accidently by way of a shadow or reflection that shows a fox body, or a tail or tails sticking out of their clothing. Kitsune have also been known to be succubi or incubi (female or male form, respectively) - sensual vampires known for stealing life-force through sex with their victims.

The number of tails a kitsune has denotes its age, from one up to nine, which, depending on what account you're reading, means they are 1,000 years old or immortal. When a kitsune has nine tails, the fur is usually white, too.

As far as noteworthy kitsunes go, check out Neil Gaiman's Sandman series for a more recent mention, or do a google search on the name tamano-no-mae.
  • Question:-Can I get a tanuki in the USA, if possible, and is it legal?
I am looking to purchase a tanuki, is it possible to obtain one in the USA, preferably the New England region. If yes, how much is the average price, and is it legal to get one in PA (considering PA's ridiculous exotic pet laws).
Also, if you don't know what a tanuki is, don't answer. Also, don't answer a part of the question that you don't know, I don't mean to be rude, but I've gotten a lot of vague answers for that very reason on my previous questions.

Answer:-I am pretty certain tanukis aren't available in the US as pets. The only way this may happen is if they are smuggled in as labeled 'normal dogs' and bred in the US. But even that would be illegal.

Apparently they adapt well as pets. However being a wild animal (even if born in captivity) they will not have the traits of a domestic dog (which are bred for living with humans). People can keep them as pets in Asia and Europe.
They rarely hibernate in captivity although their appetite will decrease in winter and they will be more lethargic.
  • Question:-what is the difference between Raccoon dog, Raccoon, and Tanuki?

This is supposed to be TANUKI. But what does it say ? hehehe.
    http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%BF%E3%83%8C%E3%82%AD

Answer:-It seems like Tanuki is the Japanese name for raccoon dog, so they are the same thing, and a raccoon is a bit different
here's that site you have in English
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanuki

as fro the difference between a raccoon, and a raccoon dog, they look a pretty similar, but not exactly the same

  • Question:-Can Tanuki Fly in Japanese Mythology?
    In so, what story?

    Don't ask why I need to know. It's a bet. :)

And I know they have magical powers, but I need a specific example of them flying. Thanks!

    Answer:-No, its a type of raccoon-dog

  • Question:-Is tanuki jiru available in the us?
    I want to try it.

Answer:-Tanukijiru(たぬき汁)does not mean literally Raccoon soup although it was originally made with its meat centuries ago but for long time now instead of Raccoon, Konnyaku(made of devil's tongue bulb) is used.
Only if you can get Konnyaku locally, you can make tanuki jiru yourself without much hassle.

ponder

  • Question:-Is it silly to ponder deeply and appreciate every scenario you enter?
Ok, lets say you go to a movie, and you ponder deeply about it's message..
And then you meet a few aquaintances for lunch and you notice the way the tables or the food is aligned.
And then you appreciate that you're outside in bustling surroundings with two potential friends.
And while you're walking back you take in the breeze of the night?

..does anyone do that, or planning to? Is it silly?
Cos I know alot of people shut off their thinking and emotions in daily life. Are we missing messages this way?

Answer:-This is a great way to live, finding the beauty in a flower growing by the road, or a bird singing in the trees, you are enjoying life's little wonders, try to remain on this path, it helps with life's problems and you see that what you think is a major problem is really only small and can be solved.....
  • Question:-Who else thinks Christian Ponder was a good pick for Vikings?
He's crazy accurate, and best QB available for the West Coast offense. Everyone says he killed at the combine with interviews and played well in the Senior bowl. We can trade or Mcnabb and sit Ponder for a year or so. I say good pick.

Answer:-I don't think he was as he was a very average football player last year in College. There were several picks that went in the second round that were better than him including Andy Dalton.
  • Question:-Easiest way to Heathrow Airport from Ponder's End with two huge luggages?
What is the cheapest way to get to Heathrow with two large luggages from Ponder's End? I know some tube stations are wheelchair accessible (so is Heathrow), but the closest to me would be Oakwood, which is not, and I'd be clumping my luggages down the stairs to the platform.

Answer:-Take a taxi. This is for sure the easiest thing to do, and quite frankly one of the only options with a lot of luggage. It will cost a little more but it will save you a mountain of headaches. If you must take the tube, try to transfer as little as possible and don't travel during rush hour.
  • Question:-Is it time to begin the Christian Ponder experience in Minnesota?
While I don't blame it all on Mcnabb, the ugly truth is the team is still 0-2. Why not go with Ponder now and get him the experience and reps he needs going fwd. Look at Newton, Dalton, and now Gabbert. He needs to start!

    Answer:-
  • Question:-Is it usual for teenagers to ponder over sexuality and become very anxious?
Is it usual for teenagers to ponder over sexuality and become very anxious?

    Answer:-Yes.
  • Question:-Will Christian Ponder be a frontrunner for the Heisman next year?
If FSU has a defense next year, do you think Christian Ponder will be a possible Heisman contender?

    Answer:-Jacory Harris, Miami
    Christian Ponder, FSU
    Mark Ingram, Alabama
    Jeremiah Masoli, Ore
    Matt Barkley, USC
  • Question:-What films make us ponder on our existence?
Not exactly existentialist movies, but movies that actually make you think "what are we?" what is our purpose of living. because some films can also be described existentialist because they focus on the condition of human life. that's not what i'm searching for because it doesn't interest me. what films actually ponder on the meaning of our existence and the meaning of our life?

Answer:-Two come to mind: 2001 Space Odyssey and Contact....but that's just me.
  • Question:-Should it be against the law for non-scientists to ponder the origins of existence?
They just come up with wacky religions and sky daddy explanations, then try to force us all to follow them. I think it's dangerous for less intelligent people to ponder questions so heavy.

Answer:-well smarty pants all that science mumbo jumbo don't mean nothin' cuz God says hizself in the good book how it all happened and thatz all there is to it!

Ifn ye ask me we can just stop all this riten books n' such cuz ain't no body needs to know all that stuff anyways.
  • Question:-Even though the Vikings took Ponder in the first round, should they go after Kevin Kolb?
A friend and I have debated this since the draft. I am believer in putting this kid in from day 1 and let him learn on his own. He wants Mcnabb or Kolb, more leaning towards Kolb.

What do think a Veteran(like we always do) or put Ponder in and see what the kid can do?
Plese don't assume because I want to start the kid that agreeing with me will get BA. Best argument gets it!

Answer:-I think the plan should be to start Ponder from day 1 and if he doesn't work out, make a midseason trade to acquire a veteran quarterback like Kolb or McNabb. I agree with you, and I don't want/need BA. The Vikings sound pretty confident about Ponder so I think they should reflect that confidence on him by making him the starter.
  • Question:-I ponder, if it is possible for a child (born) in Canada, to get Canadian citizenship, while none of the paren?
I ponder, if it is possible for a child (born) in Canada, to get Canadian citizenship, while none of the parents has Canadian resident permit (or citizenship) and they are there for some business purpose.
Will the child automatically get the Canadian citizenship?

Answer:-Yes. The child could easily get citizenship then. But that is not considered a foot in the door for the parents to become citizens. Also, customs officials tend to be suspicious of a woman, who is far along in pregnancy, traveling into Canada. If you cannot provide an extremely valid reason for the trip, the money to cover the cost of staying here for the duration of her pregnancy, and the money it will cost for medical services to deliver said baby, prenatal and postnatal care, its likely the pregnant woman will not be allowed entry. Not to mention many airlines do not allow women pregnant past 32-35 weeks to travel by plane, and the airlines that do, usually require a physicians note. Many people would love to have their baby born into Canadian citizenship, hoping it will also give themselves access. It does not work that way. Check the links.
