6 Ways To Generate Free Traffic To Your Blog

Now that you have your blog all set up you now have to get traffic to your blog. How do you do this without spending money you may ask?  Going down this route means you won't be spending money but you will have to invest your time in generating this traffic. Here are a few ways to get you started. 1.  Article Marketing. Article writing is a great way to get free traffic to your blog but it will not happen overnight. The secret here is to take consistent action  by posting about 5 articles a week(more if you want) to ezine articles and other article directories. After a few weeks you will start to see a significant rise in visitors to your blog through people reading your articles and clicking your link in your author's bio at the bottom of your article. As I said keep doing this consistently for massive results. 5 articles a week for a year is 260 articles all pointing back to your blog, imagine the traffic you are generating by then. 2. Social Media You have probably heard about the traffic you can create from facebook, twitter etc... just post your blog posts url's on these sites and people then have to go to your blog to read the post. When they are there make sure you have a free gift for them to entice them to sign up to your list. I have a course on this subject you may want to look at "The Secrets Behind Social Media" go there now it great value and free:) 3. Hub Pages If you have not used hub pages to create traffic yet you are in for a pleasant surprise. Go to hubpages.com and sign up for an account. You can then create a hub page using the article you have written. Google loves hub pages, I have had my hub pages on page one of google the very next day using this method. Page one means more traffic right? 4. Squidoo Lens Next you can create a squidoo lens which is similar to hub pages. Hub pages call them pages squidoo calls them lens. Google will also rank your squidoo lens quite highly but not as highly as hub pages. You will find creating these lenses quite addictive as they are fun to do, you can also monetize them, which is even better. 5. Social Bookmarking Another way to create free traffic is social bookmarking. Using a free tool called  Onlywire, there is also a paid version but free is better. You can send your content all over the internet using this tool. It takes a bit of time to set up as you have to join up to all the social bookmarking sites such as digg, redditt, delicious etc... I think there are 35 in all but once you have done this, every time you create a piece of content you can send it to all these sites at a click of a button. Used in conjunction with the next tool traffic will increase massively. 6. Tribe Pro If you haven't heard of tribe pro before, basically it is where lot's of marketers(a tribe) share each others content which means your content is getting shared everywhere. You set up Onlywire in the back office of tribe pro and that is it. You get points for sharing other people's content for them and then once you have 15 points you can add your content for others to share. There is a couple of upgrades in tribe pro but as we are talking free traffic stick with this at the moment. Go here to sign up to tribe pro for free. I must mention  the upgrade in tribe pro. With it you can auto syndicate people, which means every time they upload content you automatically share for them and they will do the same for you. You can also set it to upload your posts from your blog using your rss feed, meaning you don't even have to log in for your content to get shared. But that's the paid version. Something you may consider in the future.
