- Question:-Clemson???
Does Clemson University have a Marine Biology as a major???? Please answer yes or no!!! one of my friends says yes but I cant find it on there website.
USC Charleston rocks but so does Clemson. and anyway my bf wants to go there, and we both want the same profession, Marine Biology. I have wanted that since 5th grade!! he has since 6th!!
Answer:-Through the biology department you can choose an interest in marine biology. The link below shows faculty members who are interested in that field. I would suggest contacting one of them for more information about that field at Clemson. Good luck. - Question:-what does it take to get accepted into Clemson University?
I have a GPA of 3.7, my class rank is 60 out of 400, and I am taking all AP and Honors classes also next year I will be taking IB and more AP classes. I am involved in many extracurricular activities, i would really like to go to Clemson when i graduate. Am i on the right track to getting in, and what could I do to make my chances of getting in better?
Answer:-Admission to Clemson is all about academics, academics, academics. And SAT scores. Your GPA and your class rank (top 15%) will definitely get Clemson's attention, as will your AP and IB courses. I'd say you're on the right track--just make sure you nail your SAT score. Take some prep courses if you feel you need to.
Clemson does not consider extracurricular activities in its admissions decision, so just keep that in mind. I don't ever want to tell students to drop their extracurriculars, but will only say to make sure they're not affecting your grades or otherwise distracting your academics.
If you have a relative who goes/went to Clemson, make sure you mention that. Clemson takes "legacy" status into consideration. And if you're in-state your chances are better than if you're out-of-state.
Long story short I think you've got a great chance. Good luck! - Question:-How does Clemson's undergraduate physics program rank nationally?
I'm trying to make an educated decision between NC State and Clemson, and as a physics major the quality of the undergraduate physics program is of great importance to me. I'm looking for any empirical data comparing the two physics programs; also, if anyone has any firsthand experience in Clemson's physics program, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Answer:-Clemson is better than NC State, for physics and most other programs as well. Undergraduate physics programs aren't ranked; grad programs are, and Clemson isn't in the top 100, but rankings are directly proportional to how many PhDs you graduate per year, and Clemson has a much smaller program than most schools. However, they do have a good number of great professors and a lot of opportunities for undergraduates to do research. Recent graduates from there have gone to some top graduate programs. - Question:-How to get college information mailed to you from Clemson University?
I'm a Junior in high school and I have been requesting information from many colleges to be mailed to me, from their website.
For some reason, I can't find any link on the Clemson site to fill out a form for information to be mailed to me.
Can someone help me out?
Answer:-Here's a link to request program information. Good luck!
http://www.clemson.edu/hehd/departments/prtm/pgm/prospective_students/request_info1.html - Question:-Do students who apply to Clemson from out of state usually get accepted?
I am a student attending high school in New York and my main choice for college is Clemson University. My grades are above 90 and I play baseball as well. I have yet to take my SAT's so that is the one thing I need to do well on before I apply to Clemson. Please, let me know any additional information on what else I need to do before I apply to Clemson.
Answer:-Clemson's student body is about 1/3 out-of-state students, but it's a competitive admissions environment for out-of-staters. I would recommend your SAT scores be above the 75th percentile, which is around 1360 (out of 1600; they require all 3 sections of the SAT now, i believe, but I don't know what the percentiles are for the scores out of 2400). Anything over 1400 (out of 1600) will definitely get their attention. If you're taking any AP courses, sending your scores to Clemson will get their attention as well--providing they're 3 or higher of course :) Also your class rigor (how many advanced classes you're taking), GPA, and class rank will have a big effect on their decision.
Clemson doesn't consider extracurricular activities in their admissions, so don't go overboard with those trying to be a "well-rounded" applicant--Clemson's more interested in your academic potential, with the philosophy that there will be plenty of time once you get there to become well rounded (and that's true--there are oodles of extracurriculars to choose from on campus).
Lastly, if you have a relative who's a Clemson alumni, you should absolutely mention that on your application. It does have an influence on admissions decisions.
Best of luck!! - Question:-What is the hardest majors at Clemson University in order from hardest to easiest?
I have been searching the web and can't find a place that shows the hardest majors at Clemson University...Does anyone know where I can find one or have a list of them in ranking?
Answer:-You won't find such a list because Clemson doesn't publish one--officially it doesn't exist. But unofficially and off the top of my head, the hardest majors at Clemson traditionally include
+ Architecture (Clemson has an elite architecture school)
+ Engineering of any kind
+ Nursing
+ Business
+ Accounting
+ Graphic Design
+ Microbiology
Clemson also has an outstanding education department; I know it's considered very challenging, but I don't know if it's considered "hard".
Easiest majors are traditionally ones like PRTM, Language and International Trade, English, and some of the liberal arts courses. But to be honest, I think that's misleading--those majors are all very challenging! I don't know of any majors at Clemson that are "easy". Your guidance counselor would probably have better insight at what majors are easier to *get into*, though. - Question:-How is the undergraduate engineering program at Clemson?
I have a previous degree in bio and am considering transferring to Clemson for engineering. I have an interest in biomed/mechanical engineering...how is the program and the school/ area overall? Any advice?
Thanks!
Answer:-Clemson has an outstanding undergraduate engineering program in all the engineering disciplines, including Mechanical engineering. It is known as an engineering school, and with good reason. - Question:-What are the good restaurants and bars in Clemson, South Carolina?
We are going to Clemson for a football game and want to know which bars and restaurants we should go to. Love dive bars but is there anything nicer?

I would like to know the ranking of Clemson university. Is it a top university?Is it a private university? Is it among the top-graded universities? What about the placements?Please help.How do you compare Goergia Tech with Clemson ?Is the former a good university?
Answer:-Clemson is a public, land-grant university. It has been ranked the 22nd-best public university in the country for 2 years in a row now (and I believe 61st best university overall?), so yes it's an excellent school. It has an outstanding engineering program that is highly respected throughout the Southeast, in engineering hubs around the country (i.e. Washington DC, Washington State), and indeed nationwide. It is one of the harder schools to get into.
Georgia Tech is absolutely an excellent school as well and you would do well to be accepted by either institution. I think Georgia Tech probably has a better reputation than Clemson as an engineering school, but I suspect that's because it has a huge focus on engineering itself while Clemson has a much broader set of majors in engineering, science, humanities, and the liberal arts. - Question:-Has Clemson ever worn orange jerseys and purple pants? If so do you know when was the last time they did?
Has Clemson ever worn orange jerseys and purple pants? If so do you know when the last time it was?
Answer:-No, they've never worn that combination. They've worn the opposite combo (orange pants and purple jerseys) multiple times, but never orange jerseys and purple pants. It's the only combination of orange, purple, and white they haven't worn.
I believe that before the 2006 Georgia Tech game, the team warmed up in purple pants and orange jerseys. But they switched to all-purple before the game started.

christmas tree tax
- Question:-is a new 0bama christmas tree tax the way to go?
http://blog.heritage.org/2011/11/08/obama-couldnt-wait-his-new-christmas-tree-tax/
the tree's are already taxed like all trees but is it right to charge extra tax on these trees just for the holiday session? then why not a special turkey tax for the month of november? or extra beer tax in october? etc...
Answer:- - Question:-Is this Christmas tree tax thing Constitutional?
Is it constitutional for the government to put added taxes on a token of religious worship? If it were more blatant, like a 70% tax on crucifixes, or prayer mats or something, wouldn't this be obviously unconstitutional? How is this different? Is it different? Your thoughts.
You're absolutely right, they were the ones that wanted the fee, but that doesn't change what it is. If Muslims wanted a .15 cent tax on prayer mats in order for the government to promote prayer mats, there'd be a riot.
Answer:- - Question:-Is anyone else excited about Obamas Christmas Tree tax?
President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees. (7 CFR 1214.46(n))
http://blog.heritage.org/2011/11/08/obama-couldnt-wait-his-new-christmas-tree-tax/
Answer:- - Question:-Do you know who is poised to receive the millions in taxes from n0bama's new Christmas Tree Tax?
wait for it.....
the christmas tree industry !!!
...and you thought it was to help pay off the national debt
Answer:- - Question:-Instead of a Christmas Tree Tax why doesn't n0bama create a Hanuka Candle Tax?
or a Muslim Prayer tax?
Answer:- - Question:-Poll: federally imposed Christmas tree tax add?
Do you agree with the federally added 15 cent tax add on Christmas tree sales this year as a good idea?
Also, do you agree that fake Christmas trees should be banned (sounds like there are some people who agree with this as well)?

What are yours? Explanations to add to your answers are welcome.
My answers: no and no.
Answer:- - Question:-Thief in Chief, imposes 15% Christmas Tree Tax, like it?
Next year, The Thief in Chief, has a really, really good idea, An Easter Egg Tax. Shows the insanity
of this administration. Suppose he has a Christmas tree Czar too. Boot this commie a$$-clown and all
his marxist buddies out, 2012.
Answer:- - Question:-Since Obama is imposing a Christmas tree tax. Will he also tax prayer rugs?
Answer:- - Question:-Rush broke the news that the Christmas Tree tax isn't caused by Obama. But will anyone listen?
Listening to second hour of Rush Limbaugh today, I heard him say the tax was actually from the USDA.
It was added after lobbying Christmas tree growers association, to help fund an add similar to the "Got Milk" ads. While Rush (as usual) was against the tax, he stressed that this wasn't Obama's doing.
Question is does any one care? All the "blame America first"ers seems to be happy to blame this on President Obama.
More details : http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=142188364
The program — similar to familiar industry campaigns like "Got Milk?" "Beef: It's What's For Dinner" and "The Incredible Edible Egg" — would have been fully funded by fees on the industry at 15 cents per Christmas tree sold. The industry had asked the USDA to set up the program.
Conservative critics said the costs could eventually be passed on to consumers. The National Christmas Tree Association said it wouldn't have an impact on the price consumers pay for their trees.
White House spokesman Matt Lehrich said the USDA would delay the program, but defended it, saying it was not a tax.
"I can tell you unequivocally that the Obama administration is not taxing Christmas trees," Lehrich said. "What's being talked about here is an industry group deciding to impose fees on itself to fund a promotional campaign."
@RoadRunner
to be fair he has already stopped it (see link posted in question).
"the White House said Wednesday it was reversing its decision to approve an industry-sponsored Christmas tree promotion program after conservatives accused the Agriculture Department of spoiling Christmas with a new tree tax."
Answer:- - Question:-Obama's Christmas tree tax, libs are blaming Bush, but Clinton was in office in 1996?
President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).
To pay for the new Federal Christmas tree image improvement and marketing program, the Department of Agriculture imposed a 15-cent fee on all sales of fresh Christmas trees by sellers of more than 500 trees per year (7 CFR 1214.52). And, of course, the Christmas tree sellers are free to pass along the 15-cent Federal fee to consumers who buy their Christmas trees.
Acting Administrator Shipman had the temerity to say the 15-cent mandatory Christmas tree fee “is not a tax nor does it yield revenue for the Federal government” (76 CFR 69102). The Federal government mandates that the Christmas tree sellers pay the 15-cents per tree, whether they want to or not. The Federal government directs that the revenue generated by the 15-cent fee goes to the Board appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out the Christmas tree program established by the Secretary of Agriculture. Mr. President, that’s a new 15-cent tax to pay for a Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
Nobody is saying President Obama doesn’t have authority to impose his new Christmas Tree Tax — his Administration cites the Commodity Promotion, Research and Information Act of 1996. Just because the Obama Administration has the legal power to impose its Christmas Tree Tax doesn’t mean it should do so.
Libs owned again. Does the stupid ever end in the DNC?

crimson tide
- Question:-Where do you think the Crimson Tide will be ranked now that they have beaten #9 Clemson?
I was just wondering how they would do in the AP polls. I hope they move up to 16-17, but I don't know if they will go that high.
Any prediction on the new ranking of the Crimson Tide would be greatly appreciated.
Can't wait to see those polls!
Roll Tide!
Answer:-I'm gonna guess between 11 & 14 the reason they would jump so much is because they spanked clemson pretty good. - Question:-Why is the Alabama Crimson Tide called that?
Why is Alabama's Crimson Tide called that other than for the obvious fact that Crimson is the color of brick red? And why is the mascot an elephant? I know we have red dirt in alabama, but what is up with the elephant?
Answer:-From Wikipedia:
Early newspaper accounts of the University's football squad simply referred to them as the "varsity" or the "Crimson White." The first nickname popular with the media was the "Thin Red Line," which was used until 1906. Hugh Roberts, former sports editor of the Birmingham Age-Herald, is credited with coining the phrase "Crimson Tide" in an article describing the 1907 Iron Bowl played in Birmingham. The game was played in a sea of red mud with Auburn a heavy favorite to win. Alabama held Auburn to a 6-6 tie, thus graduating to their newfound nickname. - Question:-What has happened to the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Program, and Why cant they ever win a Big Game Anymore?
When I was growing up, the Alabama Crimson Tide were footballs Elite program, Bear Bryant ruled the sidelines, and Bama football was on top. This Saturday against a top ranked Georgia team, I will be very interested to see if Alabama can finally rise up again, and finally knock a top team out.
Answer:-Alabama is Rising. Nick Saban knows how to handle all facets of a college football program. Recruiting is a big strength of his. This past off season Alabama had the #1 recruiting class in the nation.
Alabama is a young team with some mature and disciplined personnel.
This has all been reflected ahead of schedule.
As I am sure you are aware by now, Alabama crushed Georgia last night. So far, Alabama has crushed two top ten teams in the first five games. I would say Bama is back. ROLL TIDE!!! - Question:-Where can i get Alabama Crimson Tide stuff besides online?
My girlfriend loves the women's college team, Alabama Crimson Tide and i was thinking of getting her hats, sweaters or other apparel like that for her bday. But her bday is coming up fast and i wont have enough time to order them online. Does anybody know where i could try to get them at? Like Sports Chalet or something like that?
Answer:-some sports stuff carrys bama.. Walmart has some stuff. but usually sports stores. here in pensacola fl there is a sports store in unvierstiy mall that has lots of bama stuff. - Question:-Did the Alabama Crimson tide have an off night?
I am a diehard Crimson Tide fan but I want a non bias answer. Do you think Utah was the better team or did Alabama go into the game thinking they had it won before the game began?
Answer:-I don't think you can say we were at full strength for one, we didn't have our All-American tackle, and 3 of our offensive linemen were playing out of position, not to mention that Utah's defensive end is a stud playing against a third string offensive tackle. I'm not making excuses, we got beat, and on that night utah definitelytely a better team then Alabama and bama got it taken to them, no doubt in my mind.
In Bama's defense however, i think that we didn't play Bama football, we never got the running game going because your offensive line weakness and a well schemed game by Utah.
Look at what happened when we played Tulane without Smith, it screwed us and our offensive output was atrocious. Do I think Utah is a better team, no, not at all. Do i think they were better on that night, damn straight they proved it. - Question:-I am doing a poll if your a crimson tide fan post a comment?
In the comment explain why you are a crimson tide fan
ROLL TIDE ROLL!
Answer:-Born in Bama.....only one real football team in Bama is the tide.
I am a U of Michigan fan now because I live in Michigan, but Bama still has a special spot in my heart.......they have a lot of tradition and pride. - Question:-What is this about the crimson tide getting sanctions?
I know it's for some way that students were getting free textbooks. But what kind of penalties is the tide going to receive? For how long?
Please help!
Answer:-It's a very minor infraction that will basically get them a slap on the wrist. At most they will lose a recruiting trip or two. No big deal.
Tornado, you are a fine one to talk about a cheating school. Can you say pay for play? As in Oklahoma players being paid to do nothing by car dealerships in Okie? I hardly find getting a few free text books to be cheating on the field. I used to like you but, that is slowly fading. - Question:-How well is the Crimson Tide gonna do in the SEC?
I don't think that the tide will be a national title contender. But they are probably gonna turn some heads. Any ideas? If you are an SEC hater, then keep your opinion to your self.
Answer:-I hope for my boyfriend's sake they do quite well. - Question:-What will be the Alabama Crimson Tide's biggest weakness going into this next football season?
I like what Saban has done with that program. I'm not really an Alabama fan, but there is something special about Alabama football. It's just very American.
However, the quarterback position does seem to be a problem. I've never even seen their backup quarterback. I know the defense will probably be stocked.
What's the biggest hole the Tide has to fill this year? Quarterback? Running back?
Answer:-Thanks for the compliment. Saban has done a wonderful job hasn't he? Defensively we are pretty set. There are 9 starters returning & a lot of kids got to play in back-up roles. Offense: Big question definitely is the QB position. A.J. Mccaron is the only Qb we have with any experience. He played in a couple of games last year after the games had already been decided. He was able to play almost the entire second half vs. Michigan State in the Capital One bowl. So that was some needed experience. The QB slot will most likely be his or a kid named Phillip Sims who has a bad A*S arm but no experience. We will be fine at the running back slot. We have Trent Richardson coming back for his junior year. He may just end up being a better running back than Ingram was. We also have 2-3 more RB's that got to play a lot during the season. RT - Question:-What do the crimson tide fans think about our new era?
I thought they looked a lot better, especially the running game. Wilson looked like he struggled at the long pass. The defense is still young. I see 10 or 11 wins this year. What do ya'll think?
Answer:-An Auburn fan here,
Alabama looked impressive yesterday.It is going to be hard for Auburn or anyone else to beat Alabama this year.Congratulations.
After yesterday I am very concerned about playing Alabama this year.

florida state football
- Question:-Florida or Florida State football: which program is more popular in FLORIDA?
I have a question for current (or former) Florida residents. Which college football program is more popular (or has a more dedicated fan following) in the state itself: Florida or Florida State? And why? Thank you!
Answer:-Florida, because the Florida Gator has an orange sweater and is a bad ass. - Question:-Would the Florida State Football program be anywhere near what it is if Mr.Bobby Bowden never touched it?
The Florida State football program would not even be anything if Mr.Bobby Bowden did not build it. that is just my view.
What is your opinion on this?
Answer:-Bobby Bowden put the entire state of Florida on the college football map when he went there. What he did to Florida State is similar, but not as significant as the turnaround of the Hurricanes in the 80s, though. - Question:-What do I need to do to bring an RV to a Florida State Football game?
Is there a specific parking lot for RVs at Florida State? Do you need a permit? How do you get a permit?
Answer:-Lots of Gas ;) - Question:-Anybody Excited About Florida State Football?
With a new offensive coordinator, do you think Florida State can bring its football team back to the top 15?
Go Noles!
Answer:-All of these people are just hating because of what's going to happen. We might not when it all this year but in year 2 or 3 we are going to have the best recruits in the nation coming to play. Fisher and Amato are some of the best recruiters in the nation. Bobby will be there to win one more before he leaves then Fisher is going to take over. We are going to get a running game going and then it'll open more for the pass. Trickett is going to get the O line to open those holes and take the pressure off the quarterbacks. I'm not worried about the D because we reload every year. I'm confident that we will be in the top 10 and playing in a BCS game this year. If we were 8-4 and played Penn State in the Orange Bowl 2 years ago, then the sky is the limit. - Question:-How much would this Florida State signed football sell for?
I have an official NCAA football signed by all of the 2009 starting defense and offense of the Florida State Seminoles.
Answer:-Looks like $129.99 on up from auctions on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-FSU-FLORIDA-STATE-SEMINOLES-team-signed-FOOTBALL-/330534519657 - Question:-Do any sattellite radio providers broadcast Florida State University football games?
I'm looking into buying a sattellite radio for my boyfriend who is a HUGE Florida State University fan. It's important that he get a provider that broadcasts all FSU football games. Is there a provider out there that does this? I'm having difficulty locating this information on XM or Sirius' sites.
Answer:-why would you want to listen to them play anyways...lol 45-12 GO GATORS!!!!! - Question:-What Florida State Football Jersey Should I Get?
I've been out of the loop for the last couple years for personal reasons...
Any suggestions on what jersey I should get?
Good call.
Answer:-Since college players have a tendency to graduate and/or move on, I'd say pick a number you like because a year or two from now the player wearing it now will be gone. College players jerseys in stores don't come with a name for amateur status reasons. - Question:-What is your prediction on how Florida State football will do this year?
they revamped the entire coaching staff and now have one of the best staff's in the country with the additions of Amatto and Fisher, but they have a BRUTAL schedule. With the schedule, they might have a worse year than last year, but im hoping for better.
what does everybody think?
i am about as big of an fsu fan as you will find, and im interested in more than beating florida, but if you think fsu has any chance of beating them at the swamp at this point, then you are smoking something better than my camel cigs!
you might wanna re evaluate tim tebow, this kid is the real deal. i am still curious to see if he can drop back and throw the ball 30 times a game and be successful, but we havent seen anything that says he will not be good. i hate florida too, but they are gonna be stacked for many years to come.
can we get some real speculation in here or are these the answers i am gonna have to choose from?
wow...this guy says we will go 12-1! the chances of that happening are as slim as me winning the heisman next year. good try though. us losing to clemson and nc state had NOTHING to do with them knowing our plays. that is the weirdest, most basic thing ive ever heard. we just werent any good, face it. we open the season at clemson and that will be a very tough game. we play Alabama, who may be on the rise this year, @ Va Tech, @ Florida, @ Clemson, @ Wake Forest, @ Boston College, @ Colorado, and Miami and Maryland at home. There are 2 for sure games on the schedule. We could end up 3-9, or 4-8 with that schedule and you say we will go 12-1! haha. unrealistic fans are the best. i think we can be around 8-4 if we drastically improve, but that is a nasty schedule so who knows.
thanks though
Answer:-if they finish at .500 id say it was a good year...theyre in a rebuilding stage and have a tough schedule... - Question:-Where can I find authentic Florida State football jerseys to buy?
With the number 9 or 4.
Answer:-Ask Peter Warrick to go to Footlocker and get his special discount price. - Question:-What was the score of the Florida, Florida State Football game today?
and who won?
Answer:-Florida-45
Florida St.-12(kicker made 4 field goals including a 60yd)
Gators Chomped Them!!!

- Question:-palindrome?
what is the longest palindrome you can come up with? I once heard a sentance that was one, but I forgot it...have at it!

HURRY ITS FOR MY SENIOR SCAVENGER HUNT NOW!!!
Answer:-boob? - Question:-How to write a palindrome program in Java?
Create a Palindrome application that prompts the user for a string then displays a message indicating whether or not the string is a palindrome. A palindrome is a word or phrase that is spelled the same backwards and forwards. For example, “mom” is a palindrome, as well as “kayak” and “Never odd or even”.
Answer:-Here ya go be sure to best answer
public class Palindrome {
private String pal;
public Palindrome(String initPal) {
pal = initPal.toUpperCase();
}
public boolean isPalindrome() {
if (pal.length() <= 1) {
// String has only one character so it
// is a Palindrome by definition.
return true;// BASE CASE.
}
// Get the first and last characters of the String.
char first = pal.charAt(0);
char last = pal.charAt(pal.length()-1);
if (Character.isLetter(first) &&
Character.isLetter(last)) {
// The first and last characters are both letters..

} - Question:-What is the first palindrome greater than 10000 and divisible by 3?
What is the first palindrome greater than 10000 and divisible by 3? Please help!
Answer:-10101.
Any number less than this (and greater than 10000) will not be a palindrome. Moreover, 10101 / 3 = 3367.
I hope that helps! - Question:-What is the longest palindrome you can think of?
I saw a person ask what a palindrome is. What is the longest palindrome? Or, longest one (most letters) that you can think of?
Answer:-The longest single English word in common usage which is a palindrome is REDIVIDER, although the contrived chemical term DETARTRATED is two letters longer. In Finnish there is a 25-letter palindromic word: SOLUTOMAATTIMITTAAMOTULOS which means the result from a measurement laboratory for tomatoes, although technically it is a compound of four words. There is also the equally long SAIPPUAKUPPINIPPUKAUPPIAS which means soap cup trader. - Question:-How can I write a java program to check a palindrome of a string?
My Lecturer asked me to write a java program to check a palindrome of a string? Could you kindly show me how to maybe be give an example.
Answer:-boolean isPalindrome(String s){
for (itn i=0; i < string.length()/2; i++)
if (s.charAt(i) != s.charAt(string.length()-i))
return false;
return true;
}
... you might want to check the end points .. but its the general idea
this is a palindrome
asdffdsa - Question:-What's the longest palindrome made without using a palindrome-generating program?
I'm trying to make the longest palindrome that doesn't make use of a generator. How long is the longest one that doesn't use a generator?
Answer:-Finnish has the longest single-word palindromes, with two entries: “saippuakivikauppias,” which means “soap stone dealer”; and “solutomaattimittaamotulos,” which means “the result from a measurement laboratory for tomatoes.” Depending on who you ask, “tattarrattat,” “kinnikinnik,” or “detartrated” is the longest single-word palindrome in English, though some would say these words are not really part of the English language, since they are contrived or almost never used. - Question:-3digit postive integers.What is the probability that any thee-digit palindrome is also a multiple of eleven?
You are given a special set of numbers that contains all three-digit positive integers that are palindromes. What is the probability that any thee-digit palindrome is also a multiple of eleven?
Answer:-Since the numbers are in a form xyx, There are nine possible digits for x (1-9) and ten for y (0-9). So off the bat, there are only 90 numbers in this set.
101x + 10y = 11z
For any given x, only one value of y at most is going to produce a multiple of 11. That's because whichever value it is, the next one up will be y+11, and y only goes from 0 to 9.
At x=1, the value of y has to be 2, for the number 121.
At x=2, y=4, for 242.
x=3, y=6: 363
x=4, y=8: 484
As you can see there's a pattern where y=2x. If you add or subtract 11 to y you can still have a multiple of 11.
At x=5, y=10, and since y=10 is not an acceptable value, there is no multiple of 11 where x=5.
At x=6, y=12. y=12 is not valid but you can subtract 11 to get it back into range. x=6, y=1: 616. And 616 = 11 × 56.
x=7, y=14 -> 3: 737
x=8, y=16 -> 5: 858
x=9, y=18 -> 7: 979
All nine values of x except for 5 had a single palindrome divisible by 11. So out of 90 palindromes, 8 were divisible by 11.
8/90 = 4/45 - Question:-How to write a class Palindrome() to identify palindromes from a set of strings?
Palindrome is a word that reads the same forward and backward. Needs to accept the strings and confirm or deny its palindrome.
Answer:-yeah, you want to read in the words (strings)
eg string a = "hannah"
string b = "doctor"
string c = "flower"
now reverse each string
string a2 = "hannah"
string b2 = "rotcod"
string c2 = "rewolf"
now create an argument that says
if a = a2,
give output as "this word is a palindrome"
else
give output as "this word is not a palindrome"
you could also include something in there which tells the program to ignore whether characters in the string are upper- or lower-case, so that it doesn't tell you that "Hannah" is different to "hannaH"
hope you can form a program from this in whatever language you're using - Question:-How do I can write a program "Palindrome"to testing if a line of text (read from the keyboard) is apalindrome?
A palindrome is a text consisting of the same sequence of characters read
backwards, as if read from the front. Ignore all characters that are not letters, and consider
an upper case letter to be equal to the corresponding lower case letter. Examples of
palindromes:
"Anna" "x" "Ff" "A1 n2%}=3N{[a]" "Was it a rat I saw?”
Sorry! In Java.
Answer:-in java.
import java.util.*;
public class Palindrome {
public static void main(String args[]){
Scanner sc=new Scanner(System.in);
isPalindrome(sc.nextLine());
}
public static void isPalindrome(String s){
s=s.replaceAll("[^a-zA-Z]","");
s=s.toLowerCase();
char[] orgStr =s.toCharArray();
String revStr="";
for(int i=orgStr.length-1;i>=0;i--){
revStr+=orgStr[i];//System.out.println(orgStr[i]);
}
if(s.equals(revStr)){System.out.println("its a PALINDROME");}
else {System.out.println("its not a PALINDROME");}
}
}

Answer:-I believe your talking about Courtney Stodden. http://eonline.mobi/article?id=249870 - Question:-what was the juice detox they talked about on Enews?
the site they named
Answer:-Hi there.
the juice detox talked in enews is a three-week-long “Clean” detox program designed by New York cardiologist and detoxification specialist Dr. Alejandro Junger.
Here is the article I read about it:
GOOP: What is Clean?
Dr. Alejandro Junger: Clean is a program for achieving vibrant health and restoring the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. Clean is a detox program you can easily do at home, with freshly made foods and drinks (A meal replacement shake-supplement version of it is also available in a kit from www.cleanprogram.com.) Under my medical supervision, hundreds of patients over the years have experienced stunning results. Consistently they have reported no complications, and most have found it simple to follow.
I developed the Clean Program to help treat the chronic symptoms many of us face by addressing them at the root level and restoring our bodies to optimum functioning.
When our systems are overtaxed, they begin to break down in a multitude of ways. Allergies, headaches, depression, irritable bowel syndrome, fatigue, weight gain and insomnia are just a few of the symptoms that can result. The majority of these common ailments are the direct result of toxin build-up in our systems that has accumulated during the course of our daily lives.
Dr. Alejandro Junger: After medical school, I moved to New York to complete my postgraduate training. The drastic change in lifestyle left me 20 pounds overweight, with severe allergies, irritable bowel syndrome and depression, visits to three specialists and taking seven prescription medications. The verdict: “I had a chemical imbalance – my brain was not producing enough serotonin.”
The human body comes equipped with a highly effective detox system, a team of organs working together to eliminate the toxic waste of normal metabolism, such as uric acid, lactic acid, carbon dioxide, ammonia and homocysteine. Somehow it can even detoxify most of the modern chemicals. The problem is that when the detox organs get overwhelmed, toxins continue circulating and cause inflammation. As a defense, the body generates mucus to coat toxins and trap them in the tissues where they remain when digestion is kept working day in, day out. If they persist over time, toxin and mucus accumulation can cause increased acidity, malfunction and eventually the collapse of all systems, one by one.
Global toxicity is enough to overflow the body’s detox capacity. Modern habits worsen the problem by keeping the detox process slow. All the different organs of the body need energy to function. Energy distribution has to be prioritized when many systems are being used at the same time or there won’t be enough. The body still gives priority to digestion over detox. For centuries, food was hard to come by. Only recently in evolution do we have food available and eat it 24/7, but our genes still act as if each feeding is the last meal and slow down everything else to concentrate on food. With digestion a full-time job, detox has to wait its turn while toxins keep coming in.
Modern medicine is detox-blind. Even though this information could save your life, there are no medical specialists dedicated to detect and treat the effects of global toxicity.
GOOP: How does the Clean Program help to remove these toxins? Is it different from the many other programs out there?

jennifer nicole lee
- Question:-does anybody know what type of shoes jennifer nicole lee workout in?
the look like boxing shoes but im not sure.
Answer:-I think they are boxing shoes. - Question:-Bikini Model Diet By Jennifer Nicole Lee?
2 questions:
1. Have you tried it? - if yes, what did you think about it?
2. Is it available as a book, to purchase like from chapters or something?
Answer:-My girl friend has tried it and thinks it's great! She's really noticing the difference after only 6 weeks.
I even did it with her some days:
*We found that Jennifer is well suited to creating the Bikini Model Diet. The former Ms. Bikini America and Ms. Bikini Universe used to weigh over 200 pounds and has years of experience in physical training.
*The program is specifically catered to creating and building a toned feminine female physique. The Bikini Model Diet is a plan that new mothers with excess baby weight to lose and women of all ages and fitness levels can follow.
However, we did think there were some disadvantages
*The Bikini Model Diet may create unreachable expectations. The program advertises that regardless of age and genetic makeup women can achieve a flat stomach and banish cellulite and stretch marks.
So overall a great diet, Hope this helps! - Question:-Where can I buy Jennifer Nicole Lee's Fitness Model without been one? That's cheaper?
Answer:-if you mean online...if its a book anyways.... then amazon normally have sales and cheaper books. You can also buy books that are used... that are for like a dollar and still in good condition. If its a movie or something, then amazon still might have it but idk if it'll be cheaper

http://www.hotsaucesports.com/2006/03/jennifer-nicole-lees-final-four-picks.asp - Question:-Is there anyone out there doing jennifer nicole lees fitness consultations?
If they are what are your results and comments?
Answer:-No... I've found that this method works just fine:
Here’s all you need to lose weight and get healthy. First, you have to realize there is no quick, long lasting weight loss plan or pill that is going to do the trick. It’s purely mental. You have to learn to “Eat to live, don’t live to eat”. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is, if you understand that you are going to be reprogramming how you think about eating for the next few weeks. Old habits die hard, right? Not really. You get rid of bad habits by replacing them with good habits. If you learn to count your calories, keep calorie intake lower than output, exercise moderately, and eat only healthy food, you will lose weight. That’s a fact. All it takes is repetition. All success stories have this in common: The successful folks among us know how to be patient, persistent, and consistent. Set a goal and stick with it. The benefits of feeling good will outweigh any sense of sacrifice you might feel about having to push away that cake and ice cream. Can of tuna - Question:-how do I define my butt more?
ok so I have been slowly losing weight and in that pursuit I spend a decent amount of time in the weight room. I do squats and lunges regularly but my butt and thigh seem to be the same thing. There is no point were the thigh stops and the butt comes out. I heard about Jennifer Nicole Lee doing her butt busters but what else can I do to make my butt not just more toned but more defined from my leg.
Answer:-Hi,
Regardless of your leg, butt, hip, thigh and tummy goals from fat/flab/cellulite reduction to firming, slimming, building, toning, lifting and sculpting. The “right combination” of exercise variables will give you much better results in a shorter amount of time. Combine these variables improperly and you’ll just keep spinning your wheels, with no results to show for your efforts. Just a lot of frustration, anger and wasted energy.
You have several hundred muscles in your leg, butt, hip, thigh and lower stomach area. The major problem is, not exercising these muscles correctly will make your trouble spots worse and more pronounced, while risking serious injury. However, the right exercises that use these muscles in harmony with each other can bring definite results without spending unrealistic amounts of time on ineffective exercises and risking long term set-backs. You don’t need access to a gym because this type of approach doesn’t require weights and machines.
I am a 5.7 and 25 years old and a month ago I weigh 147lbs although about a year ago I weighed 188lbs. I am not very happy with how I look, although I have slimmed down a lot, but I still look like I'm pregnant. My stomach is flabby, my butt is big and I just feel and look disgusting. I used to run on treadmill for 15-20 mins then do some stretching for 10 min and then workout for 30-40 mins and all this 7 days a week. But I just couldn’t reach my goal. It is enough to make anyone frustrated.
A month ago a friend introduced me a workout program. I was skeptical at first that this would work by itself. Targeted weight loss is quite tough, some would say impossible, but it definitely does produce results. I have lost 20 lbs in four weeks plus 3 inches from my stomach and even my legs are much more slimmer then before. If you are wondering that this program is too good to be true then get your FREE copy of ‘The Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh Enhancement e-Guide’ at the source below. You will not regret it! And your body will thank you for it. - Question:-Has anyone tried 'Fitness Model Program'? Does it work?
I heard from a friend about a program called "Fitness Model Program" by Jennifer Nicole Lee, celebrity fitness consultant .
Is it good? Someone tried it?
please, serious answers only, i'm thinking of buying it :)

Jennifer Nicole lee is the most famous celebrity fitness consultant today. This diet program will give you maximum result with minimum time, that's the reason I bought it.

student loan forgiveness
- Question:-Can there be student loan forgiveness for moms who decide to stay home to raise their children?
There is student loan forgiveness for people who do volunteer work or for teachers who teach low-income children, so why not for moms who have no income of their own, and choose the non-paying job of raising children?
Answer:-Would this apply to all stay at home moms? Im a stay at home mom with no income of my own. Would i qualify? Now my husband has an income. He makes just over $112k a year from a trust fund. He owns 4 income properties. He recieves another $75k from disability insurance (private insurance NOT SSI) at the moment. Would i still qualify? Im still a stay at home mom with no income of my own. This is one major problem with the idea of loan forgiveness for stay at home moms. It would be ridiculous to allow someone with my household income to not pay a loan. And this isnt even touching the fact that all of us have the option of working or staying home. For those of us who choose to stay home we still have to be responsible to our debts. If we give special treatment based on being a stay at home mom we do a HUGE disservice to the working moms who struggle with bills. If anyone should be given debt forgiveness it should be people like Johnny's Mommy who work damn hard outside the home and struggle with bills because of a father who doesn't pay regular support or not enough, plus raise a good child after work. Those of us blessed enough to be able to stay home don't deserve more breaks in life while good people like that struggle. - Question:-Is there any sort of student loan forgiveness program for newly graduated teachers who can't get jobs?
I recently graduated from college with a degree in elementary education. Because of the economy and cuts in education I have been unable to find a teaching job. As a backup plan I am subbing at some local schools. This however, isn't consistent enough, or enough money to pay my loans. Does anyone know of some sort of student loan forgiveness program in the state of Alabama that could help?
Answer:- - Question:-How could I achieve student loan forgiveness?
I am graduating with a master's degree in civil engineering in May 09 and I owe $50,000 in student loans. They are all Federal Staford loans; half unsubsidized and half subsidized. I've seen partial loan forgiveness programs for the state of Missouri. However, I live in Texas so this doesn't help my situation at all. Any thoughts (excluding loan consolidation)?
Answer:-I forgive you - Question:-Working for a non-profit community college, at any capacity, qualify for student loan forgiveness?
I recently found out about student loan forgiveness and some of requirements. I work at a community college, but, not as a teacher. Would that qualify me for loan forgiveness?
Answer:-yes. possible. write in - Question:-Where can I find some information on the new student loan forgiveness program?
My fiance and I are buying a house but she has a TON of student debt (roughly $118k) which is getting in our way. She makes practically nothing as a social worker, and I've read that the new program gives forgiveness to teachers, civil service workers, and possibly social workers.
Do you know where I could find more specifics on this? Anything would be helpful. Thanks!
Answer:-Department of Education has very specific rules for their student loan forgiveness policies for those who work in public service. Page 47 of this book describes the details of having loans forgiven. Note: these are for FEDERAL loans only. If she has private student loans (or she consolidated loans after graduation, she may not qualify.)
http://studentaid.ed.gov/students/attach... (page 47)
What is a public service job?
Eligible public service jobs are full-time jobs in the following fields:
• Emergency management
• Government
• Military service
• Public safety
• Law enforcement
• Public health
• Public education (including early childhood education)
• Social work in a public child or family service agency
• Public child care
• Public service for individuals with disabilities
• Public interest law services (including prosecution or public defense or legal advocacy in low income communities at a nonprofit organization)
• Public service for the elderly
• Public library sciences
• School-based library sciences and other school-based services
• Certain tax-exempt organizations
• Faculty teaching in high-needs areas, as determined by the Secretary
• Full-time faculty member at a Tribal College or University
Note: A borrower who pays only, or primarily, under a 10-year standard repayment plan or under another repayment plan in amounts consistent with a 10-year standard repayment is UNLIKELY TO HAVE A REMAINING BALANCE for loan forgiveness after making 120 payments on the loan.
(This is why no one ever really qualifies, they passed the law, but if the person actually pays on it for 10 years, they pay the loan off!!!!) Stupid, worthless benefit that looks good on paper but never gets used unless someone takes a job working for minimum wage after they earn their degree.
How do I qualify for this loan forgiveness?
To be eligible to have remaining balances canceled, you must not be in default on the eligible loans and must have made 120 monthly payments on the eligible loan(s) beginning after Oct. 1, 2007. Earlier payments do not count toward meeting this requirement. Payments must have been made under any one or a combination of the following Direct Loan Program repayment plans.
• Standard Repayment Plan with a 10-year repayment period.
• Income-Contingent Repayment (ICR) Plan—not available to parent Direct PLUS loan borrowers.
• Income-Based Repayment (IBR) Plan—not available to parent Direct PLUS loan borrowers.
• Other Direct Loan repayment plans, but only payments that are at least equal to the amount that would be required under the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan may be counted toward the required 120 payments. - Question:-I am looking for ways to get Student Loan Forgiveness Do you know how?
I have seen programs in the past where if you Teach for a year x amount of your student loan would be erased (paid off). I have also seen a program with the state department. Does anyone know of any other programs?
Answer:-Here's one of the best kept student loan repayment secrets and employment benefits -- many employers will help pay off student loans as part of an employment incentive contract. Indeed, numerous employers, such as state agencies, colleges, hospitals, law firms, and law enforcement agencies in needy locations, provide student loan repayment standard salaries and benefits.
Most of the 'forgiveness' programs are actually payment options. Certain jobs, teachers for example, will reduce, but not eliminate the loan, or give you more time before the payment comes due. Lots of places advertise 'student loan forgiveness' but they are high interest loan companies that get the government off your back by paying your loan and then you have a lower payment, but you will pay back 3 times as much after interest rates.
Best way is to find a low cost loan and pay it off.
Speaking from experience, they DO NOT forget or give up. They got me years later. To be honest, I had forgotten about it, but I still had to pay up after all those years.
You can stay in school full time and then the due date is extended until you are out of course. - Question:-How does a military vet Find student loan forgiveness programs, or grants.?
I've got an old student loan that i just cant afford to pay of, the lender keeps changing
Answer:-As far as I know there is no program for Vets. The only thing you can dispute is if your military service interfered with the completition of the class. You should be able to set up a payments plan. - Question:-Does anyone have a list of school districts that offer student loan forgiveness?
I am looking for a list of any school districts that may be available on a website that you might know of that offer student loan forgiveness if you teach there for a certain amount of time.
Answer:-Contact your student loan lender, they will know or point you to where you can look it up. - Question:-student loan forgiveness and government plant does it exist or not?
I heard a few weeks ago about a government plan to forgive student loan debt (U.S.) by teaching in a foreign country or something like that? is this plan in existence or is there something like it? ty.
Answer:-They allows people working in qualifying jobs to have federal loans forgiven if the borrowers are unable to repay their debt in 10 years of regular payments. Once you've made those 120 payments while employed in the right job, the remaining interest and principal are forgiven. - Question:-What would the impact be on the economy if there was loan forgiveness on all outstanding student loans?
What would the impact be on the economy if there was loan forgiveness on all outstanding student loans? Especially now during the financial crisis.

home affordable refinance program
- Question:-Can we be able to qualify for the Home Affordable Refinance Program?
My wife and i are both in college, and we have a house that we are renting out in another state, we only make 1460 between ourselves each month, and we get 1485 for the renting of the house. Our mortgage payment is 1900. the loan is an interest only loan at 6.525% with 27 years left. Our loan is owned by Fannie Mae. Is there any reason that we wouldn't qualify for HARP?
Answer:-So you're a couple people in college and you buy an expensive home on credit that you can't afford....
As someone who's taken a large hit due to the home bubble, and is paying the taxes to subsidize the people who can't or won't take the hit themselves, I'm not too happy about it.
You're still paying your bills though, so I give you respect for that.
Anyway, to give you a serious answer... I bet you could qualify. And you should definitely do it as it will make your mortgage situation much better. And I'd rather you do that than default and cause even more problems for everybody else. The catch is that it may be considered an investment property, but I bet it can still be qualified. - Question:-home affordable refinance program vs home affordable modification program?
what is the difference between the two?
Answer:-Q: I believe there was a material error in your recent article concerning President Obama's Making Home Affordable Program.
First, eligibility for a HAMP loan does not depend on the loan being owned or serviced by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. For loans that are so owned there are some separate additional programs under HAMP such as the ability to refinance underwater loans.
Moreover, Fannie and Freddie are agents for Treasury to help Treasury administer the HAMP Program. But HAMP in large measure initially was designed to address non-conforming conventional loans, such as subprime loans. Second, the eligible loan amount is $729,750, not $417,000 as you wrote.
A: Thank you for writing. The column in question did contain those errors (thanks for setting the record straight). But there’s more to the story, so let’s start at the top.
President Obama’s Making Home Affordable Program generally permits certain borrowers to work with their lenders to either obtain a loan modification or to refinance their loan. Effectively, there are two programs, which can make it confusing for homeowners.
Making Home Affordable Loan Modification
Of the 4 million homeowners that President Obama predicted would be eligible to have their mortgages modified, about one million homeowners have received temporary loan modifications, but just 116,000 (as of January, 2010) have received permanent modifications.
If a borrower decides to go down the loan modification path, the borrower has to meet certain financial criteria, including whether the home is the borrower’s primary residence; whether the first mortgage on the home is equal to or less than $729,750; whether the homeowner is having trouble paying the mortgage; whether the current mortgage was obtained before January 1, 2009; and, whether the amount you pay on your first mortgage, including, principal, interest, taxes insurance and homeowner’s association dues, is more than 31 percent of your current gross income. - Question:-Home Affordable Refinance Program late requirements?
According to the guidelines the HARP program doesn't allow a 30 day late in the last 12 months. I had a 30 day late in August 2010. Just for clarification, does that mean I can qualify for the program next month (September)?
Answer:-It is up to the bank. I am surprised they disqualified you on that alone. - Question:-Refinance under Obama home affordable program?
We just got a letter from our lender (Wells Fargo) letting us know that occupancy must remain the same as when loan was first originated, which was primary residence.We lived there for 3 years and after that we had to move there my father in law.We live somewhere else.We are paying for everything as he doesn't have sufficient income to support himself.Are we still eligible?
Answer:- - Question:-Is is true that if you have PMI that you cannot refinance under the Making Home Affordable program?
i was told my Wells Fargo whom i currently have my home loan with and when i asked them about the program they said that i did not qualify because i have private mortgage insurance.
Answer:-yes, it's true. you can still refinance, but not under the new higher loan to values w/out PMI program. - Question:-Making Homes Affordable Refinance Program?
I need some clarification on this program. I am not in any hardship, but I do have a Fannie Mae loan. Currently, I am in a 5-year ARM and it is up in May of 2010. My rate is 5.375% and it would go down to approximately 5.1%.
Today I finally got somewhere with my lender CitiMortgage. We started to look at the refinance option and I would have $4,600 rolled over into my existing loan for closing costs and $460 out of my pocket for an application fee which includes an appraisal. My payment would be only be $12 lower per month, but my rate would be locked.
For some reason the numbers don't add up to me. The closing costs and fees seem to high. Am I missing something with this program?
Answer:-First, I can't tell if $4,600 is high without knowing how much your mortgage is worth. On a refinance there are still significant transaction costs.
You need to get a "good faith estimate" from the lender. When you look at it, figure out which costs are "fixed" - i.e. charges by your state for recording a mortgage, costs for pre-paid taxes and insurance (should be low on a re-fi as most of that stuff is already escrowed hopefully).
Then, figure out how much of the "cost" is fees and/or padding. A "fair" fee is somplace between 1% and 3% of the total amount of your loan. So if your loan is for $100,000 then the lender might charge you between 1,000 and 3,000 as a "fee" - sometimes they say their fee is lower or non-existent - but, trust me, they are getting their fee some way - they may be calling a discount point or service release premium or something - but they are getting it.
Short story made long - pour over that settlement statement (also known as a HUD-1) and ask questions questions questions about ANYTHING you don't understand. If your lender balks at your questions, walk away.
Second, I would shop around before settling on CitiMortgage - just because they are your current lender does not mean that they will necessarily give you the best rate.
One thing to try is to go with an up-front lender like Amerisave that shows you guaranteed costs and fees breakdown long before the actual refinance.
Finally, the Making Homes Affordable Refinance Program has nothing to do with closing costs. It is all about negotiating with lenders over principal and interest. There are lenders out there making a KILLING off the fees in these things. That is why you need to GRILL your loan officer. - Question:-can I refinance with other bank under the Home Affordable program?
Answer:-You can try, but remember no bank, including yours, is obligated to do anything for you. They only receive small incentives from the Feds under this program IF they decided to help you. I would contact as many banks as you can until you get someone willing to refi you! - Question:-With the Making Home Affordable program,can I be denied loan modification if I already refinanced last year?
Only about 8 months ago Bank of America solicited me and offered to refinance my mortgage with the government "Making Home Affordable" program. I was struggling and it made perfect sense so I did it. Now things have gotten even worse for me and I've been working with a credit councilor to try to avoid bankruptcy. He suggested that I call the HUD and ask them about a loan modification. I spoke quickly with someone today, not an actual HUD councilor, that said that because I already refinanced with the program, that I'm not eligible to do a loan modification through it. Is this true!? If so, what options do I have? Can I get a loan modification without the government program? The credit councilor said that my housing costs should be about 30% of my income, and right now mine are 61%. I have absolutely no savings so I have to assume that I'm qualified for a modification.
Answer:-No, you are not qualified, if you are at 61% a modification would not help you. You are already at the program interest anyway, the bank can not lower it enough to make a difference. - Question:-If I quit my job, would I qualify for Obama's Making Home Affordable mortgage refinancing program?
If I quit my job, would I be able to qualify for the program since I would have less than 31% of my monthly income and be unable to pay for my monthly mortgage paymentgs? The program is unclear on what a hardship is, and if you have to be laid off or fired. What prevents people from just quitting their job to qualify for the program, then get another one once they are accepted and put on the plan?
Note - This is what I'm trying to confirm if its true or not "Plus, if you quit your job, your lender isn't going to modify your loan because your hardship is your own fault"
Answer:-That is not at all how the program works, you can not quit then qualify, nor could you quit, qualify for the trial (yes it's trial only, then if all goes well for 6-12 months it's permenant) but you couldn't get another job then suddenly be ok because your modification is based on your income, more income = less of a modification or no modification at all..
In fact, there was a story published 2 days ago that the program is failing and often costing families MORE money. They struggle to meet the requirements, they'll pay on time by dipping into their savings only to find themselves out of their savings and out of their home because they failed to meet their trial period guidelines, in other words, they go broke before the trial period is up... So what's happening is instead of these families just letting their homes go, they're struggling to stay afloat only to be foreclosed on anyway after using up all their savings to pay their mortgage. So now not only are they out a home, but also out money they could've used to put towards a new place to live or debts or attempted to keep their homes w/o using that very strict program.. - Question:-How am I supposed to take advantage of the Making Home Affordable or HUD Under Water Refinance program?
If my lender has opted "not to participate"... it doesn't make sense! No wonder why no one has taken advantage of these programs... they clearly state that the 1st lien holder must be in agreement to reduce the principal or lower the interest rate. Requirements to qualify, you can't be behind on any payments, your credit has to be good, and you have to be able to "afford" the new payments. All which apply to my situation... I just can't get a refinance because of the economy and housing decline.
So yeaha right... like my credit union is going to take the hit just because I want to pay less??? Someone please tell me there's a way to do this... or the system is more f-ed up than I thought....
Answer:-For the Making home afordable program You may be eligible to apply if you meet all of the following:
You have a mortgage owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
You do not have an FHA, VA or USDA loan.
You are current on your mortgage payments and have not been more than 30 days late making a payment over the last year.
Have a first mortgage not exceeding 125 percent of the current market value of your home.
The refinance will improve the long-term affordability or stability of your mortgage.
You have the ability to make the new payments.
*Eligibility criteria are for guidance only. Contact your mortgage servicer to see if you qualify for HARP.
The HARP program is offered by many servicers. Homeowners should check with their mortgage servicer (the company to which homeowners make their mortgage payments) to determine if they are participating in HARP. If their mortgage servicer is not participating, the homeowner may contact other lenders that participate in HARP to determine if they are eligible for a refinance.
Other company can help just call aroung if you meet the requirements.

- Question:-who feels that guru james arthur ray is at fault for the 3 deaths at the sweat lodge ceremony?
Answer:- - Question:-Finally Put James Arthur Ray In Prison?
Will the Sedona sweat lodge incident finally put crook and fraud Ray in prison (or at least shut down his organization?)
Answer:-Oprah has been strangely silent on this. . .
What I want to know is how the idiot nurse on duty didn't pick up on the fact that the people were dehydrated!

* - Question:-Does anyone know about the curse of the people of The Secret?
Jerry Hicks has cancer, James Arthur Ray is in prison, Wayne Dyer was divorced by his wife of 20 years who he has 7 children with, What else has a happened to the people who are preaching we create our own lives?
Answer:-Bad things happen to good people. And people behave badly sometimes. I mentioned this once before for another question, but it might help. It is not what happens to us, but how we handle what happens to us that makes our life better or worse. Take 2 drivers, who gets cut off in traffic. the 1st one takes a breath, and is glad there was no accident from that foolish other driver, who was rude, and reckless, or woke up late and was afraid he would get in trouble if he was late again for work. The first driver, puts on the radio, and sings. The 2nd driver, gets mad at almost getting into an accident, and races around to cut off the driver who cut him off. But in doing so the 2nd driver causes the other driver off the road, and he dies. The accident was not caused by the first driver who cut the 2nd driver off, but how the 2nd driver reacted, after he was cut off which was a negative reaction.
As for the people in the secret, I have not heard of the turns in their lives, but we will all have turns in our lives. Some good, and some bad. Have you ever gone backwards, after something happened, good and bad, that you think only by the grace of God, or why me.
One that comes to mind was car accident. 1. I woke up late. 2. I spilled coffee on my shirt, and had to change it at the last minute. 3. Before walking out the door, I decided to go to the bathroom. 4. On the way to work, a fire truck with lights, and sirens passed me and made me decide to take my other route to work. 5. it was raining, and I was going 10 miles under the speed limit. 6. As I was about 200 yards from intersection, and saw a car stop, I slowed another 10 miles to give more time for the car to pass. The cross traffic had a stop sign I did not. and the driver waited for me. I drove a little faster, still under the speed limit, and noticed another driver coming up to the stop sign when I was 30 feet from the intersection. After she stopped, she drove into the intersection, and I hit her. If I did not wake up late, spill my cooffee, go to the bathroom, take my first route, or drive 5 miles faster. the accident would not have happened. - Question:-Should only Native Americans conduct Sweat Lodge ceremonies?
I read about the Arizona Sweat Lodge tragedy in which several people died. It was said that James Arthur Ray, who was running the New Age program and the Sweat Lodge ceremony, may have abused some of the Native American's methods and standards of facilitating one.
Answer:-It depends on who you ask. Some Sundance Intercessors allow all races to participate, and train some of them to conduct sweat lodge ceremonies. Others insist on allowing only Indian participants and water pourers. "May have abused" is a huge understatement, judging from all accounts to this point. - Question:-Why does everyone want blood from balloon boy's parents?
All the media sites and the secretaries at work are all talking about how horrible the Heenes are and how they should be locked away when all they did was waste money and entertain the country for a little bit.
But not much is being said about James Arthur Ray who actually killed people! How can people be so outraged about the loss of money but not the needless loss of life due to an egotistical scam artist? Why isn't he in jail yet?
Answer:-because they are the ones that created the hoax. at the very least they should have to pay back all the costs for the time it too to follow the balloon make sure the boy was not there etc etc. even better if they went to jail for fraud - Question:-is there a station or network or on-line source that reruns " Dateline NBC " ?
i'm specifically searching for the report from last week - i believe - on James Arthur Ray , one of the " Talking Head Experts " from " The Secret " ?
Thank You !
Answer:-Here's the link to both the transcript and full episode video. Click on the video box at the top right for part 1 and then you'll see links to the rest in the bar at the left.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37626688/ns/dateline_nbc/ - Question:-Do you use a certain program to meditate with?
I am wanting/needing to start meditating...I need guidance and think that a cd/audio program may help. I have looked at various programs and wanted to see what others use or recommend. So far I have considered Bill Harris' Holosync, Chopra's Wild Divine, and James Arthur Ray's Collapse the World. I am sure there are many others, but what would you recommend to a beginner? (I am a beginner in many ways, but have read or listened to many books by Dyer, Chopra, James Ray and other personal development gurus...so I am extremely ready to take my development to a deeper level.)
I appreciate any thoughts and recommendations.
Answer:-i go by bhagavad gita and also adopt the way of people like vivekanda and other such gurus.
i personally believe that meditation is not focusing on a thought forgetting what is happening around you but rather than focusing on everything that is happening around us. Meditation is the act of filtering out the things that we need to know.
people like the detectives, blind who see the world through the sounds are examples of people who are practicing meditation every single minute.
if one wants to win he should first learn to overcome defeat similarly we cannot filter or focus on a select few unless we learn the methodology of focusing on one thought and one thought alone. that is we are asked to start of with focusing on one thought.
to start of with chanting the name of a GOD over and over again would be ideal.
this will help you control the thought flow in your mind.
the next step would be to find answers within oneself. now that we have control over thought flow we can bring one thought at a time and try to figure the answer for it.
hope this helps - Question:-Question for people who meditate: what program do you use?

Answer:-Excel - Question:-What is a Sweat Lodge?
Why was James Arthur Ray arrested for it? What were they doing there?
Answer:-he was apparently doing some form of therapy where people sweat like being in a sauna... however, he was irresponsible and people died because he would not let them out... died by asphyxiation and heat stroke!
pretty stupid and sad! - Question:-What are your mentors and can you suggest some for me?
I'm reading "The Science of Success" by James Arthur Ray and in the book he suggests that I seek out mentors. I am a success full artist and I want to associate myself with others that I aspire to be. Can you suggest any that I might not be aware of. I don't mind doing my own research but any links to them would be greatly appreciated. Here's a link to my art < www.photobucket.com/freestylelyle > it will provide some insight to help with your suggestions. Thank you for your time. Lyle Lindsay freestylelyle@yahoo.com
Answer:-Well, since you didn't say what type of artist you are it's hard to say. If you were an illustrator I would say you could look into the Society of Illustrators. There must be groups for your type of art as well if you are in the commercial art field. If you happen to do mosaics there is the Society of American Mosaic Artists and I know that Britain and Australia have similar groups. A simple google search should get you going in the right direction.
