• Question:-How can I eliminate alternating dial tone and static in an added-on phone jack?
  I had a phone jack added in our house and the electrician who did other wiring for us a couple years ago ran a Cat-5 cable from the attic to the new phone jack The existing phone wiring in the attic is 4-wire and each wire is thicker than the wire in the Cat-5. I was unable to spice the wires together using compression splices because of the difference in wire sizes. So I cut into the existing wire in the attic, installed a phone jack there, and connected the Cat-5 to the phone jack.
  
  When using a phone off the new jack, I hear a dial tone and static alternating every few seconds (tone/static/tone/static), and the same is true when I plug the phone into the jack in the attic. The person on the other end can hear me fine without static, but I can barely hear the other person. The other phone jacks in the house work fine.
  
  We have DSL with a filter that's in the wiring that's plugged into another phone jack.

  Answer:-Probably 18 or older and in good physical health for liability reasons. I am sure the streets are open though and you could just walk after everyone else has started. Have funn!

  It says on the FAQ section of the website that anything with earphones is NOT allowed when running the marathon or half marathon. Has anyone ever run this race before? Will they actually stop me if I bring my ipod? I am running the half marathon in November and my music has always been a crucial aspect of my runs.
  
  Answer:-Lots of places say that they don't recommend you wear earphones just to make sure you are alert of your surroundings and people running around you. There's going to be too many people for them to actually stop you from bringing them. If you want, you can just hide them somewhere on your body when you enter the area.

  I am a high school Cross Country runner and not too shabby of one at that. One day, I signed up for the Philadelphia Marathon thinking that it would be fun but then I soon realized that there are specialized diets to run marathons as well as different training programs.
  
  Basically my question is how does marathon training differ from the cross country training program or exactly how should one train for a marathon? What foods should I eat during training and before the marathon?
  
  Answer:-Basically the marathon is longer than a cross country race so you train running longer (and slower) than you would for cross country. You actually just need to increase your long run to 20 miles. Increase your weekly mileage by 10% a week by adding to your long run until it gets to 20 miles. You should have a 3 week taper (a scaling down of your distance) prior to the race so that you are rested. You have 9 weeks till the race so you should currently have a long run of 8 miles and add 2 miles each week. Marathon training program are typically 16 weeks so you are rushing it. Usually you increase your long run fo 2-3 week and then back off a bit to rest. This will also impact your cross country training negatively as you will be training for a race 8 times the distance you run in cross country which will leave you tired for the speedier cross country workouts. Finally, a word of caution. Atheletes that are still growing shouldn't run marathons. Part of your growing process is that the middle of your long bones, the femur (thigh bone) for example is soft in the middle (the epifisis), so you can keep on growing. As you stop growing it hardens. The pounding from the much longer training for a marathon can deform the epifisis, leaving you shorter than you would have been or bow-legged.
  As for your diet, it doesn't require changes during training, you are only doing more than you do now on one day. Prior to the race (the night before) many runners carbo-load by having a pasta dinner. Good luck!

  Answer:-You could actually be talking about me. I love Fords, have owned several Mustangs over the years, and enjoy them for their history and the ability to make them more personal nowdays with all the aftermarket parts available to them, but when it comes to my racing. I grew to prefer Tony stewart, my favorite driver becuase he represented the closest thing there is to old school drivers. He is not politically correct, easily gets ticked off, and can race anything, raced a few years in open wheels and Indy cars, and reminds me more of Foyt/Andretti.
  
  So there are various reasons as to why someone pics a favored driver. My love of ponycars shoul dmake me want to pul for Roush because he builds his own line of Mustangs, but I pull for Stewart all the time!

  Answer:-McGahee could win the starting job for the Broncos. John Fox will use a RBBC and both McGahee and Moreno should see plenty of touches in the offense. Even if McGahee is not the starter his nose for the endzone should make him the team's number one option when they get near touchdown. McGahee has the ability and the opportunity to end the season as a top 25 fantasy RB.

  Answer:-McGahee all day. Fred Jackson is good, but you have to realize that he New England run defense isnt that great (very very young and in-experienced core). I think that if he were to go up against a half way decent defense, I can see him doing alright, but not spectacular. He is a middle of the road player and will get touches, but will see his time significantly damper once Marshawn Lynch comes back after week 3. I cant see Buffalo splitting time evenly either between them, as Lynch is a beast.
  
  McGahee is going against a weak Cinci defense today and is the man when it comes to converting in the red zone. Ray Rice/McClain will have most of the yardage on the ground today, but I would expect McGahee to have 50+ all purpose yards and one of two td's.

  Answer:-I don't think either guy will play again but Tiki Barber is much more likely to do so.
  
  Tiki didn't get a training camp contract but he did workout for the Dolphins. I didn't read about any other teams taking a look at him.
  
  But there may be some tepid interest out there for him. With the new CBA, if a vested veteran (4 years or more) has a contract before the week 1 game, his team is obligated to pay his entire yearly salary regardless of how long he remains on the team. After game 1, if a vested veteran is signed, the team is no longer obligated to pay the full year contract if the guy is later cut.
  
  Since Tiki is a 10 year veteran, his minimum salary for a 1 year contract would be $975,000.
  
  I can envision a team wanting to sign an experienced RB after week 1, especially if they lose a starter to injury. So it's possible Tiki could get some looks after the first week's games.
  
  However, I don't think it will happen since there are many quality RB's on practice squads and others who were late training camp cuts that could be signed for a lot less. The minimum salary for a free agent rookie contract is $375,000.

  If there's something that Bush, Tiki and Westbrook have in common is that they were outstanding college players but undersized for the NFL and with good hands.
  
  Barber and Westbrook became stars as they approached their 30s. Does Bush still have a chance?
  
  Answer:-Theres always a chance, but I find it very unlikely.
  
  Like Westbrook and Barber, Bush has great speed, agility, and vision. When you watch him return kicks or get into open space, these traits make him exciting to watch. As an Eagles fan, any time Westbrook is back to return a kick, I get excited because I expect a big play, and he rarely disappoints.
  
  The difference is that Westbrook and Barber were much better pure runningbacks. Bush is more of a kick returner who is lining up at RB than a RB who can catch and kick return. He doesn't have the power or ability to run between the tackles and run over/elude defenders that Barber and Westbrook possess. If you watch Westbrook or Barber play, they rarely take a hit on squarely. They always manage to be just that half step away from the defender that allows them to break a tackle for a big gain. If he can learn to get that quick, elusive first step that limits contact, he can be productive.

Offense: Big question definitely is the QB position. A.J. Mccaron is the only Qb we have with any experience. He played in a couple of games last year after the games had already been decided. He was able to play almost the entire second half vs. Michigan State in the Capital One bowl. So that was some needed experience. The QB slot will most likely be his or a kid named Phillip Sims who has a bad A*S arm but no experience. We will be fine at the running back slot. We have Trent Richardson coming back for his junior year. He may just end up being a better running back than Ingram was. We also have 2-3 more RB's that got to play a lot during the season. RT

  Answer:-It sounds like you're asking about earning the "Bulletproof" Achievement to me, huh?? ;) Well, i did it a couple of weeks ago. The first thing i recommend you doing is no matter what level you are (200, 500, 800) whatever~~make sure to change your title w/ character to something like Street Thug "Johnny" (for exa). Rather than leaving it @ Skilled Criminal or El Principal. Other mafia wars players trick people with titles and it helps to fool other players (cuz they think you can easily be killed being such a low level, heheh). Has happened to me countless times! More lost than won when i have been on hitlist most recently (cuz i use S.T. title). :) However if you truly are a Street Thug, you may not have as much luck! Another good idea is to do it on a Sunday or Saturday evening when it's crowded~~the more people that are on it, the better your chances are of staying on it longer. Another thing is to ask a friend to help you with it as that way you have control over the timing~~rather than just randomly. When i earned it recently (w/ friend's help) it was on a Sunday afternoon, LOL. Also though, it will help you to have your defense @ at least 50K so that you will not be eliminated as easily. Bounties that are for $8,000 attract lower levels more so than the higher bounties. :) I know, it's kinda complex. Mostly though you need lots of luck too! Hope this helps you.
• Question:-What happens if you exercise 60 minutes a day everyday?
  I want to know if I exercise 60 minutes per day and eat no more than 1500 calories a day, what would happen? I currently weigh 200 lbs and would like to be at least 140 lbs. How long would it take to get to my goal? I go outside to walk my dog about 3 times a day and I'm currently doing exercises on the Wii Fit. Please give me a good answer and nothing rude or stupid.   Answer:-Well your exercise seems to be light. By that I mean not tearing the muscles down. You should be good to go 60 minutes everyday. Just make sure you get enough sleep and eat right. If you start feeling drained or feeling sick then take a day off. It might be a sign your overworking your body. If you amp it up to say heavy cario or weight training then 60 minutes every day is unhealthy.
  
  Your goal is completely dependent on how many calories you gain vs how many you loose. As long as your are on a steady path of loosing then don't worry about dates, just set weight loss goals not dates. Dates tend to smash weight loss attempts.

• Question:-Should i start darren mcfadden even though he may split carries with m. bush in week 2 or cadillac williams?
  Mcfadden had a big week 1 but michael bush should be back for week 2 and could take touches away from mcfadden. Cadillac williams is decent but I am not sure if i should start williams or mcfadden.

  Answer:-McFadden is supposed to have a good game, according to all of the experts. I gave him a shot against Kansas City, one of the worst teams in the NFL. He didnt and hasnt produced. I dont trust him, and released him but I would give him a shot this week and if he doesnt put up good numbers, let him stay on the bench.
• Question:-Do you think Darren McFadden and Knowshon Moreno will be opening day starters for their respective teams?
  They are both on my fantasy team and I'm reading conflicting reports on what their role will be. I thought for sure McFadden and Moreno for that matter would be starters. I have a feeling McFadden is going to have an even better game this week and I hate to lose those points. On the other hand anything can happen.

  Answer:-there are two camps on D-mac.
  
  Arkansas fans, and those who are sold on speed, claim he runs like Adrian Peterson. They are also smoking crack.
  
  Both are explosive, game changing runners. BUT, All-Day attacks the defenders, and hits them first. All Day runs BETWEEN the tackles, and keeps churning up the hard yards, whether he is going North/South or East/West.
  
  D-mac on the other hand, prefers the East/West style. He also prefers to dance around the periphery looking for a hole. He also runs AROUND the defender, not through, and in fact, NFL Network ran scouting tape on him, and his legs go limp on contact.
  
  Make no mistake....at the college level D-mac is a beast. But dnacers don't make great NFL RBs.
  
  
  This is where the second, more accurate camp comes in.
  
  The Reggie Bush camp. The only significant difference between the two, is D-mac is Bigger, and can ccasionally throw the ball. Otherwise they are identical in running style.
  
  And how well has Bush done as an RB? He makes a decent WR, but he was totally inneffective as an RB, without McAllister to get the hard yards. There is a reason Pete Caroll platooned him with Lendale White. Bush was used to exploit the slow defenses, Lendale the fast ones (he would just run them over). And Carroll himself made the observation that in the NFL, ALL defenses are fast.
  
  Funnily enough...2 years ago, before the draft, Bush was being touted as a Once in a Lifetime talent. Sound familiar?
  
  Between his lack of Running toughness, and Characterr issues, Mike Mayock doesn't even give D-mac a top 10 grade anymore. I'm sure Jerry Jones and Al Davis would disagree.
  
  And hey...if Jones wants to give up Marion Barber and two first round picks to get a situational 'Tweener...who am I to complain? Anything that screws the Cowboys is OK by me.
• Question:-How will McFadden fit with the Patriots next season?
  The Patriots have the number 2 pick in the NFL draft. So Im sure they are going to go with McFadden. What else can go good for the Patriots.
  
  Answer:-Perfectly. He has outstanding character and will fit right in with the "humble pie" mentality. In terms of X's and O's he gives them a legitimate running game, and the Pats can use a system like the Vikings did this year. But Maroney is not as good a Chester Taylor so you would see McFadden get more carries than Peterson did this year. He will also add an explosiveness to the Punt/Kick return game.
• Question:-Do you think McFadden is finally becoming a good running back?
  The Raiders might lose but Darren McFadden had another 100+ rushing yards game and getting his first rushing touchdown this year. I think he is better than Chris Johnson this year because the Raiders have a bad Offensive Line.
  
  Answer:-I was thinking the same thing. Besides the Chris Johnson thing. I thought he was going to be another bust. He was always getting hurt. Now with 2 back to back 100+ rushing games, he's looking like a pick that was drafted 4th overall.
