  The players decline the owners offer to discuss a 50/50 split, at first i was on the players side, but their egos are getting the best of them.
  I am talking about today's negotiations, they just want to make a point now, and its getting really annoying.
  
  Answer:-The players in this league are complete idiots. It would be a lot better for them (money wise) to accept the 50/50 cut than to have the entire season cancelled. Because if they accept the 50/50 cut then they will only be losing a small fraction of their pay. But if the whole season is cancelled then they would be losing an entire year's salary. And for all of the idiot players who would rather play internationally, they are taking a much larger pay-cut then if they accept the 50/50 deal. Also they will be playing against inferior player (talent wise) and it's not going to help their game.
  I'm on the owner's side because most of the owners didn't make a profit last season, which is sad considering that they own the team.

  I would suggest that if these are high quality balls and in good condition, that you buy a display case and keep them and wait and see when some of the players reach the height of their basketball life; then try to sell them later.

I miss Derrick Jasper. But, I think DeAndre Liggins is just like him. Do you remember Alex Legion who was supposed to be good and transferred from UK to Illinois in the middle of last season? Perry Stevenson is the unsung hero who gets over looked by many. Perry's a good ball player. I just can't wait for Darius Miller and DeAndre Liggins to get more experience. They are the future of UK basketball. Gillispie has some good recruits coming in next year named Daniel Orton, Jon Hood, and GJ Vilarino. I hope Meeks and Patterson come back next year instead of going to the NBA. I Bleed Blue!!!!!

  Answer:-There was a Lockout back in the 1998-1999 NBA Season which forced the league to only have a grand total of 50 Games. I hope we get a full 82 Game Season, but as of now, that is highly unlikely. I want the NBA Lockout to end right now, but we have to wait for the owners to come to a new agreement with the CBA. The NFL Lockout and the NBA Lockout have two different stories, but I really want this to end as soon as possible.

  Answer:-It would effect fans because people do not like to hear millionaires and billionaires gripe about money. It turns people off to hear that. Some people are sickened by that talk and simply stop going to games and buying jerseys. It trickles down to the business end of NBA merchadise.
  
  I think most younger fans don't care, they just want basketball back, but older working fans are the ones who get turned off by the NBA after a lockout. Unfortunately for businesses, they are usually the ones buying most of the merchadise for their kids.

  I just want to play college basketball and have no intention of going pro, so i cant afford to miss classes of the course i have taken.

  However, I believe that the time/travel/practice requirement will vary from university to university.
  For example, at a top-flight college basketball program, there may be more practice requirements and also more travel requirements for tourneys and so forth.
  Also, certain school may place more of a priority on academics for their athletes than other schools. Different school will have different policies on tutoring and missed classes. But all schools are going to recognize that some student athletes may miss class from time to time due to athletic commitments. The univeristy recognizes this, they know what an asset athletics can be to a school, and they will be happy to accomodate you. The accomodation can take the form of tutors, giving you your assignments before-hand, or make up exams/classes. Just be sure to address any missed classes/assignments with the professor. Don't just ignore the class and hope for the best.
  All in all, (assuming you are hard-working and relatively intelligent), you should have no problem playing basketball and thriving academically. Just make sure to discuss this potential issue with the head coach and school administrators before committing to the school. Find out about their policies on student athletes, and do not be afraid to ask questions. Then be prepared to work hard, take classes you enjoy, and you will do great.

  Answer:-Well there are several different levels of college ball. You do not have to go to high school in the US for any of them. The one that is the highest level is NCAA D-1.
  
  To play D1 you really need to be recruited because its the toughest to break into. If you have D1 talent and a coach or scout for a school sees you play enough you may be offered a scholarship to play for a program or a coach may offer an opportunity to walk-on and be a part of the team as a non-scholarship player. If you improve your game enough you may be able to get a scholarship a season or two after your freshman year. Here the only requirement for you would be that you can qualify academically for the school you choose.
  
  The next one I'll talk about is NJCAA. This is the junior colleges or 2 year schools. I figured I'd talk about this one next because I know of several australians that played baseball and basketball at the NJCAA school I went to. The overall talent level isn't as high at the NJCAA especially at the D-II and D-III levels but the benefits of going this route are that the academics standards are lower.(Many US players who fail to meet the academic standards out of HS go to JC to improve their grades) and also one huge benefit about going to a JC is you can still receive an scholarship to play basketball at this level. And after your two years if you've played well enough an NCAA team may offer you a scholarship to play for them.
  
  The next level is NCAA D-II and then NCAA D-III. These are also 4year schools like NCAA D-1 however the talent level is significantly lower and there is very little media exposure. The positives are at a D-II you can still receive a scholarship for playing basketball(However D-III does not offer athletic scholarships but there are grants available and you may qualify for an academic scholarship) and alot of these schools are very good schools to get your college degree from. So if getting a good degree is priority for you then there is alot of great D-II and D-III schools to chooe from.
  
  The next level is NAIA. These are usually really small schools and most of them have a religious affiliation. However there are 4yr schools and they can offer atheltic scholarships. NAIA is a completely different organization from the NCAA. And again there is very little media exposure at this level but here again you can play 4 years of basketball and get a degree.
  
  Ways for you to get noticed by coaches would be to play in as many big tournaments as possible(preferably international tournaments) However don't worry if you're not quite good enough to make an international team. The next step would be to make a recruiting packet to send out to coaches of schools you'd be interested in attending. The packet should include a bio, your stats, team info and a video of your performance in games.
  
  Whether your goal is to play in the NBA or another international pro league, to coach, or just for the experience college ball has alot to offer. If you need any more info let me know.

  A lot depends on the quality and condition of the ball as well. Most need to be in new condition and be cared for in a way that there is no wear on the signatures as well, but those type of things usually sell for more after more than a few years.
  I would suggest that if these are high quality balls and in good condition, that you buy a display case and keep them and wait and see when some of the players reach the height of their basketball life; then try to sell them later.

I miss Derrick Jasper. But, I think DeAndre Liggins is just like him. Do you remember Alex Legion who was supposed to be good and transferred from UK to Illinois in the middle of last season? • Question:-Is it just be or are Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno just college figures?
  They don't call plays like most coaches, they are laid back unlike most coaches. I think Paterno coaches more than Bowden because he talks to the players, but I don't see these two coach much at all. Maybe it's me, but it seems like Bowden just sits there in his FSU apparel and doesn't say much. I know they have been successful and the programs are stong, but are these guys figures, not coaches, or is it just me?
  
  Answer:-Joe isn't as involved as he used to be as far as play calling, but he still is very involved at practices. I would hardly call Joe laid back. He's forever yelling at the refs and talking with the players and other coaches on the sidelines.
  I don't watch FSU all that much, but I have noticed his laid back demeanor. The two of them are just waiting for the other to retire so they can be the all time winningest 1A coach. Bowden only has a game or two lead on JoePA.

  hines ward is definitely more valuable to the steelers, as he is the best blocking WR in the game. But fantasy wise, Muhammad, definitely. Ive always said that Roethlisberger can't put his team on his back and carry them to victory, and its really showing this year. Ward does not benefit from that. Rex Grossman has emerged as a great quarterback, finally free from his numerous injuries over the past 2 years. Muhammad was a stud in Carolina, and even with his age getting up there, he's still in a much better situation that Ward, making Muhsin Muhammad the better wideout.

  I think Hines Ward is the most underrated, under appreciated WR in the league. Even if he doesnt touch the ball, he is doing something somewhere that is vital to every play that he's on the feild. Any other candidates?

  I would have to say Hines Ward for several reasons
  1. He has been on the Steelers longer than Big Ben by 6 seasons. For a stretch of 7-8 years he has at least been a top 15 wideout.
  2. Just like Roethlisberger he has 2 Super Bowl Rings but none of them have any season or Super Bowl MVPs
  
  I think if Manning or Brady was in Roethsliberger place they would be the face of the franchise because they won MVPs in regular season and Super Bowl. Roethlisberger has not.

  Answer:-Baltimore doesn't allow a whole lot of points against. I pretty much fear starting anyone vs them just because they have the capability to stop just about anyone. I think Bess will have the bigger game vs Cleveland with a poor secondary. Plus the browns do have a good run D which makes it easier to pass on them. And Henne has been playing well.

  1. Mark Herzlich, LB, Boston College: Herzlich battled back from cancer. He is not 100 percent yet, but played well enough to be drafted. He will make a team and could play Mike or Sam linebacker. He would have been a first-round pick if he came out before he got the cancer. He had 11 interceptions and 40 plays behind the line of scrimmage in college.
  
  2. Kendric Burney, CB, North Carolina: He ran slowly at the combine, but he makes plays. Watch the Senior Bowl practice tapes. He has a knack for being around the ball. Explain how a slow guy had 11 interceptions and averaged 30 yards per interception return.

  Ok here is the deal. Somethings are becoming a little too odd in the world of Pro Football. I love the UFL, but it just so happens that the UFL season will start in August. Some NFL experts predict the lockout will be lifted some time in preseason. Aug 7 is when its scheduled to start. Looking at this and the acquire of Coaches like Glanville, and Schottenheimer and other top ex NFL coaches like Fassel and Dennis Green this looks like something is up. I been following the UFL since their first Championship Game (first game I watched). Has the owners and the NFL planned the UFL knowing the lockout would come. I know the UFL's owner did, he was apart of the NFLPA for a while. Is the UFL a way for the NFL to gain future revenue? They have undrafted college players and had UFL people at the NFL combine. Is the NFL prolonging the lockout to give way for the UFL? The UFL is a great way for the NFL to look at potential markets. Look how great Omaha turned out. The UFL also would allow NFL teams to farm players and save money with out signing them to an NFL practice squad. Its gives NFL team owners in-game evaluation on potential players. Invest and loose money for a far bigger gain in the future? They are Billionaires and definite investors. Let face it, players will come and go. Are they making the UFL seem like its something thats a struggle league but in reality its part of a bigger plan for the NFL. As fans we would grow to like the UFL and see home-town/ undrafted talent make it to the NFL.   I'm the Rams and I like to play the franchise mode. The first thing I did was trade Bulgar for draft picks and I really changed the whole team. I'm in my 2nd season now and I'm 7-0 with a rookie QB. I play the ncaa game and save the players off of that to export to Madden during the draft. Then after the draft I record each teams draft picks and look up their info from the rosters online. So I have players on the game as rookies now that will be rookies next year. It's pretty fun to do and I also drafted Ndamukong Suh, Brandon Lafell, Sean Weatherspoon, Sean Lee, Mark Herzlich, Derrick Washington, Perrish Cox and a couple O-linemen. It shows you a view from that section and it gives you the price of that seat. It all depends on what is affordable for you, personally I like being on the lower deck where you can see everything real well. I see a dozen or so games a season, and truly am enjoying the ride. Nolan is a decent guy, a true to life hero for a lot of kids, and he doesn't let them down. He sits in the same seat game after home game and rarely turns down an autograph request. I'm glad he and Greenberg won the auction! He's the face of the Rangers and all the players seem to thrive on it.

Obviously they're appreciative and encouraging of that gesture of appreciation from the fans, so why shouldn't Annie bring them something if she wants to?
  
  I don't have any specific information. Common sense would say put whatever you're bringing in a disposable container, since you probably won't get it back. Put a label on it so that it's clear who it's for, what it's called, and your name and home town.

They seem to stay around the division lead during the middle months of the baseball season and then slowly fall back. Remember the stadium they play in is an outdoor stadium. During the summer months Texas is one hot place!!!
