  • Question:-What is the score of the world series game 2?
I can't turn on the World Series game and wondering if anyone can give me the current score. Thanks
Not thrilled with those results but thanks for your help!

    Answer:-Top of the 3rd Inning:
    Phillies 0
    Tampa Bay 3

    Boooooo!
  • Question:-Where can I watch the 2009 world series game 2?
Is there anywhere online I can watch game 2 of the 2009 world series with aj burnett? PLEASE give me a site that actually works or something....

Answer:-You might want to try mlb.com At least that website will point you in the right direction.
  • Question:-i have a 1961 world series game 2 jay ties it up baseball card?
i was wondering the value it doesn't look like a remake it says jay ties it up and it shows joey jay pitching at the top of the back it says TOPPS 233 1961 WORLD SERIES -GAME #2 the topps is in a black baseball with one stitching

Answer:-Joey Jay pitched in the 1961 World Series for the Reds against the Yankees. The card is actually from 1962 since the cards came out during the 1962 season. In mint condition it's worth about $8.00. Rounded corners or creases would make it about 1 or 2 dollars.
  • Question:-In the restart of the 2-2 tied World Series Game, was the starting status of the game announced like the NFL?
I was wondering if the Stadium announcer or the Major League umpire stated the conditions of the game restart, like scored ties 2-2, inning, etc.

Answer:-I would have to say the continuation of a mlb game or nfl, is very wishy-washy.
Mlbs commissioner or prez, did a good job on getting the results everyone wanted.
Stating information on what will determine the continuation, gives to much information to those who are allien to Mlb, and even less information to the teams involved.
I am sure the Nfl rules on continuing a game are as reasonable and fair as Mlb or Nhl, or Nba and Cfl. :)
  • Question:-World series game 2 pitcher controversy?
I am curious to see what the general opinion is on the pine tar contorversy with the Detroit pitcher from game two of the world series. Do you think this is what it was on his hand and was the appropriate action taken? Would you say that he really cheated? Did Tony LaRussa make the right call by not loudly objecting to the player being left in the game? Many are saying that this will honestly make it a fair series by leaving him in. What are your thoughts?

Answer:-It's typical pro sports and baseball in general. He was caught "red" handed sort to speak. That stuff gives you a competative advantage and he should have been called out for using it. Unfortunately since no one made a big fuss about it, all we have are pictures to prove that he had something other than dirt on his hands.

It is just like the use of performance inhancing materials.... many players use it to give them the edge...they just don't get caught. If you are caught then you should be punished.
  • Question:-WHO SANG THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE 2008 BASEBALL WORLD SERIES GAME 2?

  • Question:-in what year did Lou Gehrig hit 2 home runs in one world series game?
Lou did it for a boy in the hospital after Babe Ruth left

Answer:-1928, game 3 vs. St. Louis Cardinals. He hit two solo shots, one in the 2nd and the other in the 4th. The pitcher was Jesse Haines.
  • Question:-world series game 2, why was Julio Lugo called out for his bunt? What was illegal about it?

Answer:-What happened was that he bunted and stepped out of the box. The ball then hit him in the knee, and both his feet were in fair territory. In play, when the ball hits you, it's just like someone tagging you with the ball. That's why he was called out. So he pretty much got himself out.

Great way to get an out, right? Doing absolutely nothing and letting the batter do all the work!
  • Question:-How many have gone to a Playoff game/ World Series game in person?
Have gone to 2 first Round games 4 ALCS Games( 2 of them when they won the AL Pennant) 1 NLCS & 1 World Series.

Answer:-I went to Games 3,4, and 5 of the 1969 and 1973 World Series, games 1,2,6, and 7 of the 1986 World Series, and Game 4 of the 2000 World Series. I also went to Game 4 of the 1955 World Series at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn.

I went to all the home games in the 1969, 1973, 1986, 1988, 1999, 2000 and 2006 NLCS, and all the home games in the 1999, 2000 and 2006 NLDS.
  • Question:-I remember the 2000 world series game 2 but what were the highlights of the 9th inning?
