bernie madoff

  • Question:-What do you think of the Bernie Madoff 150 year sentence?
What do you think of Bernie Madoff's sentence? He has been sentenced for 150 years, the maximum. Is it long enough? Too short? Should there be other things that should happen like liquidating any & all assets? Or do you think that he should have rec'd some other sort of sentence? What do you think?

Answer:-They should claw back as much as they can from his wife and family (all those mansions, planes, boats and cars), then burn him alive with all those useless investment certificates he issued to his clients.
  • Question:-Is Bernie Madoff getting sent to a prison similar to Club Fed?
My father said something about Bernie Madoff is going to prison similar to a country club and he's gonna be able to sip coffee and play pool.

    Is this true?

Answer:-Not if the US Marshal's Service and Bureau of Prisons has their way(as well as those he swindled!)...

He'll likely go to the "Supermax" federal prison-from-hell in the southern Colorado city of Florence(not far from the Colorado State Fair complex in nearby Pueblo)...

Just think:23 1/2 hours in a 8' x 8' cell, w/ NO windows, the SAME crap that "America's Meanest Sheriff"(Phoenix's Joe Arpaio) feeds HIS inmates(you know, moldy bread, stale bologna, rotten milk, and non-recycled TOILET WATER!...NO mail, NO phone allowances, NO visitors ANYTIME!...NO TV/radio, NO light in the cell, NO bed, just a hole in the floor to "go potty", repeated strip searches at ANY time!

Trust me, he'll LOOOOVE it there!

Knowing him, however, he'd rather go to "Club Fed" near the California city of Lompoc(near Vandenberg AFB)...but that WON'T happen!

    HTH...
  • Question:-How is what our government is doing now any different than what Bernie Madoff did?
The government is running a similar ponzi scheme, cooking the books, hiding the real numbers and have bankrupted the nation. We can't afford ANY NEW PROGRAMS because we can't even fund the old ones...The government is Bernie Madoff times trillions.

    Answer:-Congratulations you got it!!!
The only difference is our government does it under color of law( unconstitutional as it is) and force you to pay up or go to jail or lose personal property.
Bernie was in competition with them and the government does not like it so Bernie went for a boat ride, so to speak.
There is no difference except the members of congress swore an oath to support and defend the constitution which they break that oath every day and keep getting elected and Bernie did not.
  • Question:-is it dangerous to write to bernie madoff?
I would like to write to Bernie Madoff but i think to write a letter you have to give a return adress. Is this dangerous, not just because of bernie madoff, but to inmates in general?

Answer:-You don't have to give a return address.....
  • Question:-Why do we imprison Bernie Madoff yet praise 0bama for doing the exact same thing: a Ponzi scheme?
The House and Senate proposals fund recipients benefits by mandating young people buy health insurance at between two and three times the actuarial cost. Bernie Madoff is in jail for doing exactly what the government has done with Medicare: fund payouts to seniors with revenue collected from new people coming into the system.

Answer:-Marxist FDR created the biggest Ponzi scheme in history, then he created internment camps, and confiscated certain private property.

Yet, liberals idolize this creep! It's one thing to read history, and it's another to accept everything that is spoon-fed in Screwool.
  • Question:-Was it assault and battery when the photographers were pushing and shoving Bernie Madoff?
All these photographers were taking pictures of Bernie Madoff as he was walking to his apartment. They were pushing and shoving him, one guy almost knocked him down. Was it assault and battery?

Answer:-Technically it is. But he's the bad guy so no one really cares.
  • Question:-Why did the SEC respond so slowly to tips about Bernie Madoff's Ponzi Scheme?
Why did the SEC respond so slowly to tips about Bernie Madoff's Ponzi Scheme? Will the failure to stop Bernie Madoff lead to major changes in the way the SEC officials do their job?

    Answer:-
  • Question:-What is the difference between Bernie Madoff defrauding you with an investment scheme or Obama doing the same?
Isn't Obama's "investment" just government spending...sort of like Bernie Madoff.

    Answer:-None whatsoever.
  • Question:-Who is the REAL criminal; Bernie madoff or OJ Simpson et al and why?
Who is the "real" criminal? Bernie Madoff ( created the ponzi scheme which was the largest investment fraud in the history of wall street ) or OJ simpson et al?

Answer:-OJ is the real criminal. Madoff took rich people's money, but they are still ALIVE. OJ killed two people, and they will never get that back.
  • Question:-How did hedge-fund managers like Bernie Madoff get away with it?
With government organizations like the S.E.C. in place, how did scammers like Bernie Madoff get away with it for so long? How can investment fraud be prevented?
"Steven F," I like the hedge fund concept and have nothing against hedge funds per se. Having now stated that, I'd love your input as to the question regarding enforcement or regulation, please.

Answer:-Unless the Government audits them, how do they know?
