pacquiao marquez

  • Question:-pacquiao-marquez?
Who watched and believed Marquez won? That Pacquiao, despite 3rd round, was just too too wild and that for 3/4 of the fight, including ending, Marquez dictated? 3rd fight?

Answer:-One knockdown doesnt make a winner. Juan Manuel Marquez dictated that fight and landed more and the sharper punches. Pacquaio afns say dont be a sore loser but when it is the second time around and once again the better fighter didnt get the decision, it gets a little tough to not be sore. Boxing fans can be emotional and there is nothing wrong with that. Most of the media and fans believe Marquez did enough to win. Period. Pacquiao may have the belt but Marquez exposed him.
  • Question:-How is pacquiao-marquez not the biggest fight to be made right now?
The top two guys in the p4p rankings who have had two extremely competitive and entertaining fights. Mayweather is injured and when has he ever had an exciting fight that lived up to it's hype? Maybe the first fight with castillo. Why can't we see pacquiao-marquez 3 and a rematch with cotto-mosely. Then the winners can fight after that. Maybe the losers can fight too. I'm not all that interested in seeing mayweather in the mix. Anyway, why won't the lords of the boxing universe make this happen, doesn't it make sense?

Answer:-Because a lot of people are still fooled by Mayweather coming back. They still buy the hype he tries to make. Most of them are just nut-huggers though. Some boxing fans actually show no interest on Mayweather-Marquez fight because of the fact that they are both counter-punchers.

You have a valid point. Pacquiao-Marquez lll is the best fight for boxing "style-wise" but not money-wise. It's all about the money and the biggest Money fight out there is Pacquiao-Mayweather.
  • Question:-Pacquiao-Marquez?
Do you think it's time for the long awaited rematch?!?!?! And who do you think would win? and how?

Answer:-This one is easy. Pacquiao will knock the life out of Marquez. Based on the last fight, when the Pacman is still learning how to fight, he demolished the Mexican fighter. Pacman clearly won the fight despite his raw talent. It was scored a draw due to scoring error by the Canadian judge (he admitted his mistake after the fight), awarding Pacman a single point when Marquez was sent down to the canvass thrice. This time Pacman cannot be cheated, he's leaving nothing to chance. My prediction will be Pacman in 2. Marquez going "No mas! No mas!"
  • Question:-Bob Arum is said to be working on another Pacquiao-Marquez fight, what do you think?
    Should Pacquiao fight Marquez again?
Do you think Pacquiao is a sure win in such re-match?

Answer:-I have always been interested in wanting to see Pacquiao vs Marquez III, but if Pacquiao wins on Saturday.... this will not be the time for a 3rd match with Marquez. It will be time for Pacquiao vs Mayweather.... the fight that the entire world wants to see! I think it's an attempt to lure in Mayweather for a fight. Arum wants to send a message that he will place Pacquiao in another fight in a heartbeat if he is not open for negotiations.

On the other hand, if Pacquiao loses on Saturday night.... well, bring on Pacquiao vs Marquez III, it would then be the perfect time for this match.
  • Question:-How much has Pacquiao and Marquez changed since their last meeting?
Who do you think has improved better as a fighter and how do you think will that improvement pay off in their oct 12 meeting. Has Pacquiao developed enough technical boxing skills to not eat a lot of Marquezs counters? Has Marquez better refined his style against Pacquiaos onslaught, will we see a more effective marquez at welterweight due to some changes in his training?

Answer:-Manny Pacqauio has improved his Right-Hand (Jab and Hook) leaps and bounds since their first two fights which means the predictably of his attack isn't going to be as easy as before. He's morphed into a much better athlete physically as well, strength, speed, power, and conditioning.

Juan Manuel Marquez, honestly, he hasn't improved and in my own personal opinion he's declined to some degree over the last few years. He hasn't improved athletically when Manny has, he hasn't handled the move in weight successfully when Manny has, and he's getting knocked down by fighters like Micheal Katsidis who's a B-level opponent at best.

Personally, I think this fight should have happened a few years ago before Manny got accustomed to Welterweight. He should be able to beat Juan Manuel Marquez pretty convincingly now. This bout will probably be competitive for the first few rounds but once Manny gets warm his size and physical gifts will allow him to dominate Marquez.
  • Question:-Should Juan Manual Marquez be the true P4P champ instead of Mayweather or Pacquiao.?
We got Mayweather over here ducking and dodging fighters( i think he'll lose to Marquez.) And Pacquiao wants all his opponents to drain themselves and we all know Marquez beat Pacquiao. Marquez doesn't duck anybody and he is willing to move up in weight to fight. Why the hell isnt he #1 ???
JR where the hell do u get ur boxing knowledge??? The round wasnt a 10-4 score u fukcin dumba$$.

Answer:-JOSE M Juan lose to Chris was a highway robbery. Please see the fight on youtube. Juan was dominating Chris every round. Check out the ref he was protecting Chris like if he was his child. Chris did not beat Juan Manuel Marquez, they stole that fight from under him.

Trust me fans if Manny would have never produced those flash knock downs on both fights, JMM would have won both fights convincingly
However I still think Marquez should have won the second fight.
  • Question:-What would Pacquiao or Marquez do to win their third fight?
Their first and second fights ended with contestable decisions.
Like the previous ones, this third fight Pacquiao is favored by odds.
But surely Marquez will once again prove the odd-makers wrong.

Pacquiao is arguably stronger and a relentless offensive monster.
Marquez is a brainy methodical counter puncher par excellence.

Answer:-BOTH PACQUIAO & MARQUEZ ARE CAPABLE OF WINNING THIS THIRD FIGHT.
THEY HAVE THE TALENT, EXPERIENCE, MOTIVATION AND GRIT TO WIN IT ALL.
THEY HAVE RAISED THEIR LEVEL OF ABILITIES SINCE THEIR LAST FIGHTS.
PACQUIAO IS NOW A TWO-FISTED WRECKER W/DECENT DEFENSIVE MOVES.
MARQUEZ IS NOW A TECHNICAL BOXER OFFENSIVELY & DEFENSIVELY.

    IF PACQUIAO THROWS TONS OF POWERFUL PUNCHES FROM ALL ANGLES;
IF HE RELENTLESSLY PURSUE AND APPLY FULL PRESSURE ON MARQUEZ
(FORGET ABOUT GETTING COUNTER-PUNCHED BY A LIGHTWEIGHT, COTTO,
DELA HOYA AND MARGARITO NEVER MADE A DENT ON PACQUIAO'S BODY)
PACQUIAO WILL DESTROY MARQUEZ LIKE HE DID TO HIS BIGGER FOES.

MARQUEZ CAN PULL OFF AN UPSET BY NOT TRADING TOE-TO-TOE PUNCHES.
HE MUST ALWAYS USE HIS DEFENSIVE GENIUS OF COUNTER PUNCHING
PLUS EXTRA SKILL IN FOOTWORK, PATIENCE AND TIMELY OFFENSE.
IF HE SURVIVES PAST 7TH ROUND WITHOUT BEING KNOCKED DOWN
HE'LL WIN THE FIGHT BY DECISION (OF COURSE WITH ARUM'S BLESSINGS!)

BUT, FORGET COMPARING THIS FIGHT FROM THE PACQUIAO-MARQUEZ I & II.
THE ODDS-MAKERS MAYBE RIGHT THIS TIME AROUND.
  • Question:-How much did Pacquiao and Marquez get paid for the 2nd bout?
What are the numbers for Pacquiao and Marquez just for the fight without PPV royalties?

And if you know, how much did they get for PPV?

Answer:-pacman got around $5M and marquez $1.5M for the, and from what i read manny will be getting a plus or minus $3M from PPV..
  • Question:-Who do you think really won in the Marquez-Pacquiao fight?
When I watched the fight, I really thought that Marquez won, though it was indeed a close fight. Here in Yahoo, the unofficial scorecard is 115-112 for Marquez. I was really surprised that Pacquiao was announced the winner.

Do you think Pacquiao deserved to win? Or was it Marquez who really should have won?

Answer:-It was a close fight and could go either way.
There are so many close rounds but there are rounds that clearly belongs to Marquez(2,5,6,7) and rounds Clearly belongs to Pacquiao(3,9,10) the rest could go Either way.

I am happy Pacquiao was announce as a winner because I am a Fan.

But I think the Clear winner in that fight are the Fans. It was an Awesome fight these 2 are really made for Each other.

They should have a 3rd Fight this Business is not Finished!
  • Question:-Do you rather see Pacquiao fight Marquez over fighters like Maidana, Bradley, or Khan?
I do not see the Marquez/Pacquiao fight being very competitive @145 because i remember how everyone was complaining how "tubby" and "slow" Juan Marquez looked at @145 last time, but if anyone disagrees with that needs to give Mayweather more credit for the shut out against Marquez.

Would you rather spend your money on a Pacquiao/Marquez fight instead of a fight with a young bull like Marcos Maidana, Tim Bradley, or Amir Khan, if so why?

Answer:-I wouldn't mind seeing Paquiao fight Marquez again. The two previous fights were close and a third fight makes sense. That being said Paquiao is going to win this decisively.Marquez will make a fight of it and give it his all but his age and fighting over 140 will make this a bit lopsided.Marquez is a warrior and a fighter i respect and enjoy watching. He deserves a third fight and a big payday.Paquiao can silence all the critics that thought he lost the two previous fights.Marquez is also a fairly big name that can draw an audience to ppv.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pac fight Maidana,Bradley or Khan and you can add Berto,Ortiz,Cintron,Alexander, and Judah to that list.I think Paquiao would handle all those gentlemen easily and none of them offer any name recognition to attract the casual fans to buy a ppv. There are two fighters out there that could be realistic opponents for Manny and that's Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez. Those two would be his toughest challenges and Paquiao has said that he would fight Martinez if he comes down to 150lbs.As big and talented as Williams and Martinez are i would still go with Paquiao but i could be wrong.
